We ran nearly an hour behind schedule on our wedding day, yet Markina somehow managed to capture every single photo I requested — and still had extra time to spare. Our wedding par...
ty was no small feat: with my husband, and I, groomsmen, bridesmaids, personal attendance, and ushers we had 21 adults, two little ring bearers under three who weren’t in the mood for pictures, and three flower girls who wanted to be the stars of the show all day (and may have been constantly asking (screaming) questions all day! Somehow, she handled it all with incredible patience, professionalism, and genuine warmth. To make things run a little more smoothly when we really had to time crunch she had the names of everyone and my personal attendant, shouting out who we still needed photos with. She always found a way to make the schedule work on our time versus us, needing to change our schedule to accommodate.
When I realized I forgot a hanger for my dress photos, she didn’t even blink — she had one ready to go! It’s small details like that that show how prepared and experienced she is.
When I was searching for photographers, I kept seeing overly edited photos everywhere, but I wanted something timeless and true-to-color. The moment I saw her website, I knew that’s exactly what she delivers. Our initial call honestly felt like a formality, but on the wedding day, she completely exceeded every expectation. Despite so many things going off-schedule, she and our videographer were the two vendors who made the day run seamlessly.
If you’re getting married, engaged, or just want beautiful family photos — do yourself a favor and book Markina B Photography. I’ll absolutely be keeping her contact info for all of our future family milestones.
We booked Markina for our engagement photos and wedding in October of 2025. She scouted out the perfect locations for pictures, taking this task off of our plate for the engagement...
photos and wedding day. She was extremely helpful organizing the timeline and making sure we have everything we needed to get all the perfect shots on our special day. She was really good with the little kids and getting them to smile for pictures. Now for the photos: the photos were magical. You can tell she is very passionate about what she does. We highly recommend Markina for your engagement photos and wedding day! We will definitely go back to her for our family photos down the road as well! 🤍
We were lucky enough to be referred to Markina B. Photography through a photographer friend, and from the moment I saw her work, I was obsessed! I loved how clear, crisp, and true-...
to-color her photos were—not overly filtered, just beautifully natural. I was also drawn to how relaxed and genuine all the couples looked in her shots.
When we met Markina in person, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend—we clicked instantly! For our June engagement session, my fiancé and I were a little nervous about being in front of the camera, but Markina made us feel completely at ease within minutes. She guided us effortlessly, kept things light and fun, and truly captured not just beautiful photos, but us—our love, our personalities, and those candid moments you can't fake. Plus, she even edited out all the pesky summer gnats—talk about attention to detail!
Fast forward to the wedding—Markina and her second shooter were absolute pros. They were organized, professional, and captured every special moment we had discussed during our planning meeting. When rain showed up during golden hour, Markina worked her magic and delivered the most stunning rain photo I’ve ever seen—seriously, it’s worthy of a feature in Brides Magazine!
To top it all off, she sent us a sneak peek album just four days later while we were on our honeymoon. It was so special to sit together and relive our big day through her lens. My husband and I can’t say enough about how thrilled we are that we hired Markina. We’ve already started referring her to every newly engaged couple we know, and we will definitely be using her again for future photo needs. If you’re looking for a photographer who is insanely talented, personable, and delivers beyond expectations—look no further than Markina B. Photography!

abulous with outdoor photos! We did not need an engagement session as we went to the mountains for those and she was willing to work with us on the package. She even scouted other areas within a few blocks of our reception site and asked if we wanted to sneak away for golden hour (sunset) shots. We can't wait for her to capture our growing family too!

baby pics-she does it all!!

d patience. My husband HATES getting his picture taken and he was the first to say that as long as Markina continues to take pictures, she will be our photographer. She's had to deal with some of my very suggestive extended family members and took in all their ideas, whether she used them or not, without being disrespectful. During our wedding, when she was 8 1/2 months pregnant, she was one of the first people there, on her feet the whole time getting some of our most favorite shots, and never showed her exhaustion. We continue to go to her year after year for our family pictures, baby pictures, 1 year pictures, and dare I say it, hopefully high school graduation pics for our 3 daughters! Thanks for all the memories and great work.
My husband and I got married in May of 2018. Markina not only did our wedding pictures but our engagement photos too. She took the time to come to us when needed as we live in Mank...
ato but got married in the twin cities area. She scoped out our venue ahead of time to find great spots for photos and ways to keep the family in the shade as it turned out to be a real hot day! She was great in helping with the timeline to make sure we slotted enough for everything that we wanted to get in. She spoke with us ahead of time to get our must haves and I promise no picture was left behind. She had a fantastic second shooter that was able to capture some fabulous moments, the two of them worked great together! Everything went smoothly and I fell in love with each and every picture taken. To this day I use Markina for all our photo needs. We have pictures all over our home from her- I can’t recommend her enough!!
