Marlene Artistry

I don’t have words to explain how amazing Marlene is. Not only as an artist but just simply as a beautiful human being. She’s one of the sweetest person I have had the pleasure to meet. 2 years ago I contacted her to do my makeup for my wedding. Due to the pandemic my wedding had to be pushed 3 different dates. She was so compassionate and sweet throughout tough times. She never made me feel at fault for what was going on or as if I was just dollar signs. She returned calls so quickly and email too. When I met her for my makeup trial , her energy was everything. She made me look and feel my best in her chair. Fast forward to 01/09. My wedding day , still COVID being a unfortunate reality to everyone. She reassured me that my wedding was going to happen and that It was going to be amazing. Nothing could have taken my happiness away that day and she had part in that. Thank you Marlene for being who you are and for spreading the happiness in your work of art.

I could go on and on about how incredible Marlene is! She is so talented and her love for what she does is so obvious. And to top it all off, she is one of the kindest and most fun people to kick off one of the most special days of your life! She is the best hype woman and really sets the mood for the day. She is very particular about who joins her team so you can rest assured that everyone in your bridal party will be happy with their hair and makeup if you have a big group like I did. One thing that really sets her apart is this- I had a group of 9 people in addition to me that would be getting hair and makeup done. Marlene set up the schedule in advance to make sure she would have the right amount of people on her team to get through that many people on time. About a week before my wedding she reached out to let me know that she reworked the schedule in a way that would require less people on her team and let me know she would be refunding me some money to reflect that change. She didn’t have to do that and she definitely didn’t have to refund me for it but she is the most honest and transparent person who truly cares about her brides. On my wedding day, everything was flawless and we had such a good time with Marlene and her team, who showed up at the crack of dawn to be with us! Do yourself a favor and reach out to her ASAP! (My wedding was in April 2021)

I am so happy that I booked Marlene to do my makeup for my wedding day! Marlene is such a kind and caring person and she will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and confident! She worked efficiently and made sure my whole bridal party looked amazing, even though we had 12 people to get makeup done in a short time span! She absolutely nailed the look I was going for and made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself. It was important to me that I didn’t feel like my makeup was overdone in my photos and I couldn’t be happier with how I looked now that we got the photos back! Marlene is incredibly talented, informed of current trends, and has immaculate attention to detail. She will execute any vision you could possibly have for a bridal look and she will do it with the most genuine smile on her face! I adored having Marlene with me on my wedding day and will absolutely be booking her if I have any special events in the future. She is such a gem - book her before someone else does!

Marlene is incredibly talented, kind and beautiful! She made me feel so amazing on my wedding day, including her team of artists that did hair and makeup for my 9 bridesmaids and my mom.
