What can I say, Rhett Marley is an absolute dream to work with. From beginning to end, engagement photos to wedding, intro call to planning call - his love, attention to detail, passion, kindness, and talent shine in every shot, every conversation, and in every photo. Rhett masterfully captured our wedding from beginning to end, all our guests loved him. He made it a point to interact with all of them to capture their images while at an intimate destination wedding. Rhett knew where my husband and I were throughout the entirety of the night - so we always had photos taken with guests when they requested them. I had a bold vision for drone shots at and around our venue, Rhett was excited and executed my vision flawlessly. Matt and I have plans to come to Charleston yearly and we know Rhett will always be trusted to take our photos, and one day, our family photos. I cannot recommend him enough!

Rhett was absolutely phenomenal to work with and was a major contribution to how perfect our wedding day ended up being. We used Marley photography for our Engagement photos in October of 2021 and our wedding in April of 2023 and to say he exceeded our expectations is an understatement. Rhett goes above and beyond to capture not only the major milestone moments of the day, but all the little things in between. After getting our engagement photos back, we had no doubt in our minds about using him for our wedding day. He exceeded my expectations! He had constant open communication with all parties associated with the wedding and was very punctual and schedule focused. He was personable, friendly, and made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable during the photo taking process. He utilized lighting, scenery, and constantly checked surroundings for extraneous items that would take away from a shot. You can literally feel the emotion that he captured in the photos. The photo turn around time was less than 2 weeks for all photos to be edited and returned! He is by far the best photographer I've ever worked with and I HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Rhett was absolutely amazing! He had such a great sense for timing and placement of every photo. We could not be more thankful for his talent! Let me start by saying that this bride is a bit late on reviews... but as my 1 year anniversary approaches and I look at the beautiful pictures that I have from my wedding day, I wanted to take the time to thank Rhett! When I first contacted Rhett I knew he was the photographer for us based on his personalized response. We asked for a bit of an unusual session from him as we wanted to travel all over the Charleston area on our wedding day to take pictures with as many local backdrops as we could. Rhett didn't blink an eye, he was all for the adventure! We were new to the area so we left it up to him to plan the day and he chose the most amazing locations, even including a coffee shop that captured part of our love story. I am thankful that we found Rhett and will be hiring him again to explore more locations in the future.

Rhett was absolutely amazing from communication before the wedding to my bridal portraits to the wedding day. Rhett was able to combine what I wanted and his own vision to take photos that looked like an actual fairytale. I would hire Rhett again for sure and highly recommend him!

I wish I could give 10 stars. Rhett was the best vendor decision we made through the entire process. His personal touch that he adds to everything from his first contact with you to the final product are more than I could have ever imagined. Having worked in the wedding industry, I know that they all tend to look and feel the same, but he made us feel like a wedding he'll never forget. As a seriously directionally challenged person that is surrounded by directionally challenged people, Rhett made the whole process fun and had me laughing the whole time (which saved me from a lot of teary photos, which I wanted to avoid). Our tiny group was like herding cats. We did a micro wedding, and I loved that Rhett also listened when I told him that I wanted the individual families to be able to use this occasion to get their own Christmas photos. He also didn't even bat an eye when I told him that I wanted to go out and do some night photos, because I LOVED his night/rain photos. They turned out AMAZING. That and he got all 400 photos back to us within a week!!! I was so thrilled to be able to sit on a beach in Jamaica and go through each photo with just my brand new husband and I. I cannot recommend Rhett enough. Best wedding vendor decision you can make.

Rhett was punctual and attentive to our needs from the moment we started working with him as our wedding photographer. He listened to our vision and put his expertise in as well. My fiancé and I tend to be shy, especially when taking pictures. During our engagement photos Rhett got us out of our shells and made us feel so comfortable. He spent the time making sure we got all the poses and locations we wanted in Downtown Charleston. I would highly recommend Rhett for all your photography needs!!

Working with Marley Photography was amazing, especially after the wedding was postponed from 2020 to 2021. Rhett came highly recommended from our wedding planner, and he did not disappoint. He was so easy to work with, and more importantly his photos captured the day perfectly!

I had the opportunity to work with Rhett on a wedding last Spring at The Wickliffe House. He was so relaxed and easy going, while still capturing all of those gorgeous wedding photos. The getting ready space, ceremony, and reception were all at different locations. Rhett had to lug his equipment (and set it up and break it down) countless times throughout the day, and I didn't see him stress about any of it once. He was very easy to work with and communicate with, and kept my couple feeling at ease throughout the day. The photos I received back were beautiful, and exactly what my couple was looking for! I loved the way his editing brought out the vibrant colors of their wedding florals and decor. I would love to work with Rhett again, and definitely recommend him to others!!

As a Philly based couple who had to postpone our original 2020 wedding date, working with Rhett was so easy! I stalked his Instagram account for months and couldn’t wait for our chance to work with him! Since we were in Charleston for the whole week of our wedding, we asked if we could do a family session in addition to just the wedding day. It was a wonderful chance for our boys (blended family wedding) to work with Rhett prior to the wedding so they could get a feel for what he would be asking them to do and to be comfortable! The best part about working with Rhett, he asks all the right questions and listens to you and comes up with ideas that match the style of photos you are looking for! He works quickly to get the group shots & so understanding an accommodating! My brother in law had a traumatic brain injury the year before & still has limited mobility, Rhett had no problem picking 2 spots at our venue that were close and didn’t require to much walking but still gave us different backgrounds and looks! He is also amazing with kids, so if you will have kids involved I HIGHLY recommend him just for that fact alone! He also uses a drone if the weather cooperates which will give you some awesome shots!! At the end of the day, once your big day is over, your photos are your best keepsakes - and I am NOT disappointed with a single photo!!! He got photos of things I didn’t see or get a chance to truly appreciate in the moment so it was awesome to relive those moments in photos! Hands down, one of the best photographers I’ve had the pleasure to work with!

Rhett is quite honestly the BEST photographer. He was easy to work with, gave us phenomenal pictures (check out his work - what you see is what you get!) and was complimented by so many people. From a friend, "he moved like a ninja during the ceremony to capture all the best moments. One second he was there. The next he was gone." Super professional and beloved by all of our guests. He, by himself, was able to capture both me walking down the aisle and my now husband at the alter - a huge deal as we did not do a first look. Highly recommend!!

Rhett was the BEST wedding photographer we could have ever hired. We were planning a wedding out of state and wanted our engagement photos also taken in Charleston, so when we started looking for a photographer, Rhett’s work stood out. He has such a unique eye and his photos of families and engagements on the beach drew us in. From our first virtual meeting, we knew we wanted to hire him. He was very talented but also made us feel 100% comfortable right off the bat. Our engagement session was full of adventures, we walked on folly beach, had an outfit change in public, walked into the marsh, and popped champagne on the beach. His lightheartedness and sense of humor put us at ease, and he captured genuine moments of happiness, not stiff poses. Before our wedding it was threatening to rain, and the bridal party was worried about pictures. Rhett ran with the punches and found the perfect spots under Spanish moss that left us dry and let us get the beautiful pictures before the ceremony. The groomsmen let loose and took the best candid shots with the groom. He captured every meaningful moment in our ceremony and throughout the night. We felt like he was part of the party, but with a nice camera. He was such a joy to work with, and surprised us by turning around our pictures in two weeks!! If you want a magical wedding experience, hire Rhett! He truly values real moments over poses and can somehow capture the moments when you’re laughing and also looking gorgeous.

Choosing Rhett as the photographer for our microwedding ceremony at Kiawah Island was one of the easiest and best wedding planning decisions I made! He was super prompt when I reached out to inquire about a photographer and he was very direct in answering any and all questions I had. Rhett was very nice and friendly, but didn’t waste my time trying to “sell” me anything and he was very professional. When we had to change the venue at the last minute, he rolled with everything. On the actual day of the wedding, he was there early and was even helping with some of the last minute wedding set up. Rhett drove with us all over the island to get the best pictures and stayed a little late without complaint when we could not get the families corralled to take photos. The photos were emailed to me within a week and they were gorgeous! The cost was also extremely reasonable for what we got- my friends who were married recently were very impressed by the quality of the photos especially considering how much we paid. I would highly recommend Rhett to anyone looking for a photographer in the Charleston area and I’m already planning to get Rhett to take family photos for us next time we are down.

Rhett was 100% fantastic from the first message we exchanged down to the final photos. We could tell how passionate he is about his photography & our gut told us he was our guy! He photographed our engagement photos, and as a couple who has very few photos of ourselves, they were absolutely amazing. Best Wedding Photographer in Charleston of 2020, I think that award should include ALL of South Carolina and surrounding areas. As we all know choosing vendors for the big day is always exciting and one of the most exciting parts. It could also be very stressful! It all started from Day 1 with Mr. Rhett Marley. We reached out to Rhett along with multiple other photographers. All of them had the same response, expect for Rhett. Rhett sent a personalized video message of him introducing himself and acknowledging he received our request and made us feel confident of our wedding at The Beach House on Hilton Head Island. That really meant a lot to us and really put all the other photographers on the back burner. Rhetts pricing is competitive, and even with Rhett’s Traveling Fee outside of the Charleston Area, his pricing was still competitive with other photographers we had reached out to. Rhett worked countlessly with us during Covid. Unsure of how we would proceed he made us feel confident and let us know no matter what we would have different options if needed in regards to his photography. Leading up to the big day Rhett came up with a perfect timeline and amazing photo ideas. We couldn’t have asked for a better Photographer! His upbeat and fun personality really made it feel like we connected with Rhett on our day while he captured all the most precious moments during our Wedding. We will certainly recommend Rhett to anyone visiting the area! We are so eager to receive our Wedding Photos! Once Rhett finished with his contracted hours, he stayed and busted out the Cupid Shuffle with us. Nice work Rhett 😉.

Our wedding date and venue changed twice during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rhett was accommodating and willing to do whatever it took to help make our wedding day a success. The updated venue was over 100 miles from where he lives and Rhett still showed up early and was very professional the entire day. His character alone is enough for me to give his business 5 stars. Rhett Marley exceeded our expectations when it came to taking the perfect pictures for our ceremony and reception. He had a vision in mind, and it was able to translate into the photos that he took for us. Rhett was awesome and was able to make our first look so intimate in such a large setting. He had all the patience in the world with our families who wanted to take lots of photos. We were able to get our photos in about a week after the wedding day and they were everything we wanted. Our wedding was a destination wedding and working with someone via email and the phone feels like rolling the dice but we were so intrigued by Rhett's work we saw online and felt even better after several email exchanges with him.
