As the true entertainer Scott is, he gave the crowd 3 more "last songs", which was way after our contract was up. Scott was extremely professional & reliable from our first e-mails to the big day. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Not only was Scott in charge of cocktail hour music and the reception, he also hooked up all the sound for our ceremony. He came early and left late with a wonderful enthusiasm. Hiring Marquee Wedding Company was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We still have people telling us how amazing our dj was!!

g this review, you need not look any further for a DJ (but, if you don’t want to take my word for it…read on). Without sounding clichéd, words cannot express how incredibly pleased we were with the services provided to us by Scott Wooten. Scott was referred to us by my college roommate who got married a year prior and she told me, “You have got to talk to him. He’s great, and he’s not one of those cheesy DJ’s.” We contacted Scott and from the get-go, he was extremely responsive, answered all of our questions, and was very honest. Living in Texas, we were unable to meet Scott prior to the big day, but he was flexible and Skyped with us twice so that we could first get to know more about his services, and then closer to the wedding so we could finalize details. He gave us great feedback on the songs that we were considering for the entrances, planned dances, cake cutting, dinner music, etc. He explained to us that he feels out the crowd and that dictates what songs he plays and when he plays the songs to ensure guests get on the dance floor and stay on the dance floor. Our dance floor was packed the whole night, and when I heard last call, I couldn’t believe I had been on the dance floor for the past 3 hours. Guests kept coming to me all night to say how great the DJ was, and I found myself mentioning to my friends how impressed I was, as well. The variety of music was perfect for our crowd. What I really liked about Scott, which I haven’t heard at many other weddings, was the fact that he mixed the songs together. It was a great touch that took his DJ-ing to another level. I truly believe that the DJ makes the reception, even more so now having been on the planning side of things, and I attribute most of the awesome memories from the reception to Scott. The fact that we still have people mentioning how great our DJ was 3 months after the wedding is definitely a testament to the services that you will receive when you go with Marquee Wedding Company.

During the actual wedding night, Scott not only kept the crowd involved, but he also helped us stay on task based on the crowd's reaction to events. After a short while, everybody in the reception had made their way to the dance floor and never left. Our guests were dancing all night and have continued to tell us how much fun they had. He was organized and definitely left you with a feeling of 'it is being taken care of, no need to worry.' He would offer suggestions and help throughout the process, but always made sure we made the final decision. We were very happy we decided to have Scott as part of our wedding!

Wondering what all the hype was about, I did some research to find additional overwhelmingly positive reviews. And now here I am writing one myself. After initial contact and listening to Scott's amazing mashups, Scott became the first vendor we booked. Scott and I communicated via email throughout my year of wedding planning to touch base about genres, timeline, etc. Scott met my husband and me a few weeks before our wedding in person to ensure his music selection would be perfect for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and party on the dance floor. Scott did an outstanding job filtering in our beloved country music during dinner, but making sure that all 261 people at our wedding were on the dance floor the entire evening. We had guests in their 70s and kids under 7 twirling and singing along on the dance floor. Scott Wooten truly made our wedding the best party of our lives. In addition to being a talented DJ, Scott is a really awesome person who makes planning the music at your wedding fun and carefree.

Also, we needed music for our ceremony, along with our reception. From our initial consultation with Scott, we knew that he was exactly who we needed! Scott helped us to find the perfect tunes to celebrate our love! Our ceremony was perfection and then the party began! Even our dinner music captured our favorites, along with classics that the guests loved! There was even a couple slow dancing during dinner and it melted my heart! The rest of the evening could not have been a better soundtrack of our love! We received SOOOO many compliments on our music and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Not only did Scott keep the atmosphere fun and romantic, but he helped to keep us in line so we didn't miss anything! I cannot recommend Scott enough! He is A+++ and exploding with talent! We let him run the whole night and we couldn't have asked for anything more. He doesn't do anything cheesy, unless you want him to of course. He played Piano Man as the last song and everybody got into a circle on there own and all sang together. That moment is something we will remember forever. Scott also did our up lighting. We showed him a picture and dimensions of the room and he knew exactly how many up lights we would need to make it look amazing which it did. There isn't any nickel and diming with him either. Everything except up lighting was included in the cost. People are still talking about how great our DJ was. If you want the best DJ and don't want to have to worry about a thing in terms of entertainment or the flow of your wedding, Scott is the man for you.

g. Needless to say, Scott took all of my nerves away. Within five minutes of our first initial meeting with each other I knew that he would be the perfect choice. He answered any questions I had throughout the planning process and gave some amazing tips and ideas. My cocktail hour and my reception were in two different locations inside of my venue. Scott was able to accommodate to our needs of needing cocktail music along with dinner and reception. Scott also provided us with the uplighting for our wedding. He knew exactly how to set up our lights so that the room looked stunning. When dinner was complete, he got everyone out to the dance floor. At one point it was difficult to find a place on the dance floor. It was packed! He kept our guest out of their seats all night which is what every bride and groom wants to see on their big day. You will not be disappointed in your choice of DJ when booking Scott from Marquee Wedding Company!

have. Scott exceeded our expectations. During our entrances, we all felt like we were being announced at the Super Bowl rather than into a wedding reception. We were so pumped up before we even walked through the door that it made that experience in itself one that we will never forget. It was the PERFECT first introduction as husband and wife. Scott also kept the flow of the reception and made sure everything that we discussed in our planning meeting happened in the correct order and in a timely manner. It was GREAT not having to worry about that during the reception and allowed us to simply enjoy our friends, family, great food, great music and just being married. Now on to the music…WOW. Thats all we can say. There are DJs out there that make you wonder if it would have been cheaper to just put your iPod on shuffle, well this definitely was NOT Scott. Scott probably played quadruple the amount of songs that you normally hear at a wedding, and mixed in older songs with the current top 40 that everyone wanted to hear. He had the dance floor PACKED all night and even played a double encore by request of the guests who just didn't want to leave! Overall, I would hire Marquee and Scott without a second question. He was by far the BEST DJ I've ever heard at a wedding. He was very professional and honest with us throughout the entire planning process and reception. Even our guests complemented on how good the music was and how great the DJ was an an emcee. If you're considering Marquee, look no further, just hire them. You will not regret it. I have always liked Scott's choices in music, so I knew that I could trust his choices for our wedding. We had one consultation, and away he went to create the BEST mix. His music flowed perfectly, and catered to people of all ages at our wedding. There was not any songs that disappointed the guests. Everyone was moving to the music until the venue had to push us out. Please, do yourself a favor, and hire Marquee Wedding company. They are refreshingly Awesome at what they do.

This is SO important to know (especially when you haven't planned a wedding before!). Scott made a few recommendations which helped keep your guests from getting bored...admit it, we've all been to a 'boring' wedding before! Another plus - if you email Marquee Wedding Company, they will email you back VERY quickly. They are very responsive. For example, our priest told us after our wedding ceremony that he will not be able to attend the reception and say a prayer. Note the reception was only a few hours later. We emailed Scott to let him know that we will no longer have a prayer before dinner and he took care of it right away. Email/text/phone - Marquee Wedding Company is very easy to reach and will do everything to make your day flow smoothly - even up to the last minute. Marquee Wedding Company also has amazing skills and knows how to 'read the audience' and play songs that will get your guests dancing! Scott played remixes of old songs that had everyone from grandma to grandchildren dancing. I just love modern remixes of classic '60s and '70s hit music. Plus they kept the mix going so there was never a chance to sit down! I HIGHLY recommend considering Marquee Wedding Company to DJ your next event. It's important to hire a team with experience and not someone who "just plays music". There is a BIG difference and your guests will notice - trust me!! Scott adds a nice modern touch to a traditional wedding reception by playing classics as well as the newest music out. He was very professional, and even showed up 3 hours in advance to set up his equipment! He was well dressed and very accommodating to our guests. Super Scott gave us more than we could ask for with his performance at our wedding. His microphone and announcer skills were very strong. He kept the crowd fixed on what was happening with my new wife and I, while allowing them to enjoy themselves. He also kept things moving fluidly. The problem that a lot of weddings have is dragging things out. Our guests came to party, and that's exactly what they got. After all of the formalities finished up, Super Scott had the dance floor crackin'. The dance floor was vacant not once throughout the night. My wife and I were sweaty messes by the end of the night.
