Hello! My name is Marqui and I am a Whidbey Island based makeup artist serving all of the greater Seattle area, Eastern Washington (including Winthrop & Twisp), San Juans, Olympic Peninsula and beyond!
I do totally customized makeup design work that will beautifully enhance your own personal style. My job is to get you right and bring you to your highest beauty potential without changing who you are. I look forward to connecting and I welcome the opportunity to help make your day extra beautiful!

n a "normal" day for makeup and what I do for a night out/occasion and she took it from there! She did an incredible job, when I looked in the mirror I was so impressed by how she was able to just enhance my look in a very natural way without making me look like someone else. And she did even better on the wedding day, which I couldn't have imagined was possible! She was able to do makeup for my seven bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law, and me all in about 5.5 hours - so impressive. I had a ton of fun working with Marqui and I know my wedding party did too. Thank you Marqui for starting off my wedding day so special!

atural or as glamorous as you want! I would highly recommend doing the trial with her as well. She was also accommodating and able to squeeze me in the day before my wedding for the trial. The next day, for my actual wedding, she had taken some notes and improved it even more! I loved the foundation that she used and it lasted all day. I even slept in it and looked good the next day. I had people asking me who my makeup artist was after the wedding. Highly recommend her!

drama. Marqui was able to adapt to my change of vision and executed such a beautiful look; one that was still me and fairly natural, but one that felt more special. As an Asian bride, it can be hard to find someone who knows how to apply eye makeup correctly to my eye shape, but Marqui is an expert and made me feel more beautiful than I've ever felt in my life. The makeup lasted all day and night, I just had to touch up my lipstick a few times. She also did an amazing job on my mom and mother-in-law. They didn't really come in with any sample photos, yet she was able to create beautiful looks for them. For my bridesmaids, she did eye looks that complemented the tone of their dresses and was able to pull off something they would have never been able to do on their own. Thank you so much Marqui!

working with Asian faces like mine so I wasn't too worried thinking that my makeup would look unnatural. My makeup trial turned out well, and we were able to replicate the look on my wedding day with a few minor changes. She also did my mom and the bridesmaids' makeup and they all looked beautiful. I cried a lot during my wedding day but my makeup stayed on all day and looked amazing even until the end of the night. I highly recommend Marqui!

e too, since some makeup people do not like to do 5 year olds. Marqui was very well priced, and my niece (flower girl) was free since I had 3 girls in the bridal party and then myself. Going in for the practice and portrait preview was very fun and Marqui was very easy to work with.

airstylists and Marqui worked so efficiently that she was able to complete makeup for my entire wedding party. (9 women!!) Even while accomodating so many people, she managed to create a unique look for each girl that complimented their personal makeup style. She also helped us find a last minute hairstylist!! I am so thankful that I had Marqui there to help us! My makeup looks stunning in all of our photos and I hope to use her again!!

lot of time making sure I was comfortable with the makeup and the look. On the day of the wedding she was 20 minutes late but did a great job on my makeup and my bridesmaid. She explains that she is higher quality than what you might find at cosmetic counter in the mall. I'm not sure that I would agree. But definitely a good job. She prefers all the money to be combined rather than each individual to settle their account as they have their makeup. I mistakenly did not leave enough money with her before leaving for the wedding site, and she texted and then called to clear up the mistake. Which was understandable. What was not was that she wanted to make arrangements right then, as I was getting ready to walk down the aisle in 15 minutes. I indicated I would send the money upon my return in a week from my honeymoon. She indicated that she understood and that was agreeable...however during that week I received messages asking for the money. When I returned I sent the money, however I did not include a tip and then received what I believed to be a very unprofessional email. Frankly I had a very hard time finding someone to do my makeup for an early morning wedding and she did a good job...but you sometimes have to go with personality and gut feeling.
