Hiring Sam and the Marriage and Mimosas team is one of the best and most important decisions I’ve ever made.
When I started looking for a wedding planner, I reached out to and interviewed several. Sam was the first to respond to my inquiry (on a Sunday!), and we set up a call for the next day. During that conversation, she gave me a crash course on the wedding planning process and explained everything her team offered. I was nervous because we only had ten months to plan, but she confidently assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem. I knew after that conversation that I wanted to work with her, but I continued interviewing other planners to do my due diligence. Throughout that process, Sam stayed in touch, and no one else I spoke with came close to matching her professionalism, responsiveness, energy, and expertise. After we officially hired her for full-service planning, she exceeded every expectation. I’m very type A and tend to be anxious, and she always responded to my frantic texts within minutes, reassuring me and explaining her plans in concrete terms that immediately assuaged my fears. I also work a demanding job, so I often couldn’t review wedding-related emails or texts until late at night or on weekends, but Sam and her team were always available to answer questions and talk through ideas. Throughout the entire planning process, Sam was truly my rock.
Sam is also incredibly talented, and her eye for design is unmatched. After our initial meetings, she created a beautiful mood board that perfectly captured my husband's and my vision and the feeling we wanted our wedding day to have. The final result was even more beautiful than I could have imagined, thanks to Sam’s creativity and incredible attention to detail.
In addition, Sam’s vendor recommendations were phenomenal. She and her team presented several thoughtfully curated options for every category, coordinated meetings, answered our questions, and guided us through every decision. Importantly, Sam stayed conscious of our overall budget, and worked with us to make adjustments where necessary. I never felt like she was pressuring us to spend more than we planned for, and we ended up staying right around the budget that we set at our initial budget meeting, which is honestly incredible when it comes to weddings!
Finally - our wedding day was an absolute dream. My husband, our families, and I felt so taken care of. Sam thought of everything and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the day ran seamlessly. I never worried about logistics or timing, and was able to be fully present with my husband and our family and friends. Everything went flawlessly, except for one moment - as I was walking up stairs to join cocktail hour, the heel of my shoe caught on a step and the leather strap broke!! I was devastated. However, Sam was completely unfazed. She had a backup pair of heels ready, and was about to send someone back to the hotel to grab another pair of shoes I had there, but then she looked at my broken shoe and realized she could fix it. She sewed the leather strap back together in 15 minutes, and I was able to wear my wedding heels (Manolos!) for the rest of the night (and have worn them several times since). She is truly a miracle worker.
Our wedding was, without question, the best day of our lives, and that is due in no small part to Sam and the Marriage and Mimosas team. We are endlessly grateful that we chose her, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Even though we only booked month-of planning, they made such a meaningful impact on the entire process. Hiring them was hands down the best decision we made. Having access to their vendor recommendations, guidance, and honest opinions was incredibly helpful and gave us so much peace of mind. Month of, they took just about everything you could think of off our plates. On the wedding day itself, they kept everyone organized, aligned, and on schedule, but most importantly, they made the day feel seamless for us and our families.
Our wedding day felt absolutely perfect and it was everything we had dreamed of and more. From our very first conversation, Sam was a breath of fresh air. One of our biggest worries was staying within our budget, but Sam managed it flawlessly. She was transparent, strategic, and knew exactly where to allocate funds to get the absolute most value without ever compromising on the elegance or details we wanted.
Her industry connections are unmatched. Every single vendor recommendation she gave us was professional and out of this world. It was clear that she only works with top-tier professionals who respect her and match her high standards. Because of her trusted network, we felt completely confident in every booking we made.
When it came to the big day at the Perry Belmont House, Sam and her team were dialed in from start to finish. Behind the scenes, they were an absolute force. During both the ceremony and the reception, my husband and I didn't have to worry about a single logistical detail. Sam took care of everything at the venue. If there were any hiccups, we certainly didn't know about them, she handles everything with such grace and quiet precision that we were truly able to just be present and enjoy our daughter's and son-in-law's day.
Ally and David’s wedding went off completely without a hitch, and we owe that entirely to Marriage and Mimosas. Sam is professional, incredibly organized, fiercely protective of her clients' happiness, and just a joy to work with. Hiring her was the best decision we made! Because of their hard work, we were able to be fully present on our wedding day. Instead of worrying about timelines, logistics, or unexpected issues, we were able to relax, enjoy our family and friends, and truly soak in every moment. One of the best things the Marriage and Mimosas team did was capture BTS content for us throughout the day, allowing us to put our phones away and soak up every moment.
The day felt effortless from our perspective, which is a testament to how much work the Marriage & Mimosas team put in behind the scenes. Even when we had some unexpected rain mid-reception, their team was proactively removing outdoor furniture and handling the situation without involving either of us - truly allowing us to be present in every single moment of our wedding day.
Our guests repeatedly commented on how seamless and well-organized everything felt. We are so grateful for their expertise, attention to detail, and genuine care throughout the entire process. For the two months leading up to the wedding, Samantha and her team handled every detail with professionalism, kindness, and incredible organization. They coordinated all of the vendors, kept everyone and everything on schedule, and made sure our entire family felt supported, cared for, and stress-free throughout the process. Their communication and attention to detail were exceptional.
They were especially sweet, attentive, and caring with the bride throughout the entire wedding weekend, making sure she felt calm, happy, and taken care of every step of the way.
On the wedding day, when unexpected rain required the ceremony to be moved indoors, Samantha and her team immediately shifted gears and reorganized everything seamlessly. They handled the changes effortlessly and ensured the day still felt beautiful and perfect without missing a beat.
Working with Samantha again felt like coming back to someone we completely trusted. We originally hired them for month-of coordination, but the value we got went far beyond that. Sam helped us early on with budgeting and then her team stepped in about two months before the wedding to help us finish planning strong, which made a huge difference and took so much stress off our plates.
They were always responsive, easy to communicate with, and genuinely fun to work with. Plus, they have great taste. They helped us curate the most beautiful DC spring wedding.

Paige and Beckie were amazing at helping me find vendors I genuinely loved, and Sam’s eye for design brought all my ideas to life in ways I never could have executed myself. I needed someone who could read my mind and take what I envisioned and make it even better than I imagined. Sam, Paige, and Beckie did exactly that. so incredibly fun and brought a great energy to our wedding weekend. While I opted to do their 6-weeks out coordination package as a Type A bride who wanted to really manage everything myself, I had such a great experience working with M&M that I definitely see the value in just going for full service planning if you're on the fence. The more you put in their hands, the more you can relax and enjoy your weekend! I know that my other vendors also greatly appreciated working with M&M and had all the info they needed to pull off the wedding of our dreams. M&M also provided very good vendor recommendations, which is how we found our DJ and saxophonist that made for the most high-energy and amazing dance floor that our guests could not stop talking about. I'm sad to only get married once because I would love to work with M&M again!

r's wedding. They took what I imagine could be a somewhat stressful process and helped make every step of the way, to include every part of the wedding weekend, fun and joyous! We are so grateful to them.
They really are two beautiful souls----calm with exquisite taste and so much fun to have around! They were so responsive to any and all questions via text/ email/call---always enthusiastic and timely in responding. Both Sam and Paige were a delight to work with and we found we could trust their expertise and advice completely. The wedding ended up being exactly what our daughter and her now husband described wanting in the beginning---so elegant AND fun!
Of note, our daughter's bridesmaids all commented that our wedding planner's scope of service was beyond anything they had experienced at other weddings they had been part of in terms of taking care of EVERYTHING and just being amazing!
Once the wedding weekend was done, we only regretted that our time with Sam and Paige had come to an end....until we realized we'd be seeing them again some day-----we have another daughter! As you can tell from this review, they have our heartfelt endorsement. They are THE BEST!!

after my initial conversation with Sam. She was easy to talk to, understood my ideas right away, and was open to the kind of celebration I wanted to create.
Throughout the planning process, I changed my mind on a few major items and the entire Marriage and Mimosas team handled every change graciously and without hesitation. They were incredibly responsive and made sure every detail was accounted for, especially on the wedding day. Thanks to their coordination, everything ran so smoothly and felt effortless on our end. We were able to just enjoy the day without any worries! Thanks to the M&M team handling all the logistics and capturing the special moments - I didn’t have to touch my cell phone one the entire day.
The entire team worked seamlessly together to make the day happened, and we received so many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. I also heard from multiple vendors that they love working with Marriage and Mimosas team and I can absolutely see why.
Each team member brought something special to the experience:
- Beckie was endlessly patient and responsive as I fine tuned plans leading up to the big day. The seating chart, menus, and smooth timeline wouldn’t have come together without her
- Sam has a fantastic design eye and a creative vision that helped to bring together all my many ideas into one cohesive design. The final wedding design truly looked straight out of my inspo photos.
- Paige was incredibly hands-on from the small to big details. She worked closely with our vendors to fine-tune every detail from developing the catering menu to adjusting timelines and logistics. On the wedding day, she even helped me into my dress.
- Sean made sure everything stayed on track the day of at the National Arboretum. I don’t think the day would have run nearly as smoothly without him rallying everyone where they needed to be!
Marriage and Mimosas is a great team, and I can’t thank them enough for making our day so personal, beautiful, and seamless.

ut planning a wedding can seem overpriced, M&M felt like such a great value. Sam was extremely communicative during the planning process and we really felt like she understood our vision. On the day of, we felt at ease knowing that Sam and team could handle anything that popped up. Sam always went the extra mile, literally in our case, taking the time to drop off random items at our house after the wedding while we were staying at our hotel. There are so many favorite points that this review could go on for pages but I’ll name my top three!
1. I’ll start with the best surprise ever! I wasn’t thinking much else to happen before the wedding and only doing the parents and bride groom first looks. After all that was done, Sam goes “okay we are going to hop in the car.” My photographer, Sam and Paige at marriage and mimosas SURPRISED us and took us around (very quickly making good time) between the monuments!!! We have the most amazing photos because of them and I am so grateful for making the surprise happen for us!!!!
2. I really liked the idea of having a QR code on my invites and all the RSVPing process done online. While this was my vision I had no idea how to put it together or where to turn to make it happen. Marriage and Mimosas had it all - from getting the QR code to setting up the RSVPing online through our website.
3. I had a vision for the flowers but my vision was out of my realistic price range. Sam helped not only obtain original proposals but then worked with the florist of my choosing to still make my vision possible even though it was my choice to downsize the flowers for the sake of the budget. I am beyond happy with how the amazing it all looked!!!
Again can’t say thank you enough for making my wedding day just 100% perfect. Would recommend to anyone!

It is hard to imagine life before knowing Sam- I wish I was kidding when I said we are already planning a vow renewal just so we can work with her again. d an issue with the catering company we originally contracted with, Sam went above and beyond to help us talk through options and find a replacement at the last minute. For a year, Sam was easily contactable and extremely responsive, and never once did I feel like a question was too small. Everything on the wedding day flowed smoothly with her and her team, even going outside their job jars and helping deliver food to our guests when catering was running slow. I cannot recommend Marriage and Mimosas enough, they made the entire wedding planning process so much easier!

ding planner 9 days before your wedding and finding Sam who promised to get your plans back on track within 24 hours. And that she did! Phew…crisis avoided. But wait, 2 days before the wedding tropical storm Ophelia is scheduled to hit DC. What do we do, cancel the rooftop reception? No, Sam to the rescue. Within hours she arranged for my son and his fiancée to tour the Perry Belmont House and within hours they moved the reception indoors. Thank you to Sam and her staff for going above and beyond to make this day magical for my son and our new daughter. Words cannot be found to express our gratitude for your dedication and hard work.

light issues behind the scenes from the venue, but as a true professional, Sam never let it be known.
Sam has connections in all areas that are tried and true. The flowers and band suggested/used were phenomenal and we heard compliments (on everything) from so many of our guests/family. I don't have pics of the band/additional seating arrangements (another "connection") and certainly can't "show" the labor that she put in to the entire event-but rest assured it all added to the entire enjoyment.
If you are questioning using Sam and her team- don't! Book them now! I can't say enough about all of it. We needed her much much more than I'd have ever thought and it truly made Wedding day a total fun/successful event from bride on down. You'll realize even more after the day, just HOW much you needed her!

y were everything you would want in someone to help plan and execute your wedding: organized, detail oriented, dependable, creative, and an excellent problem solver. Sam was involved in every step of our planning from working through our budget, creating mood boards for our vision and finding the best vendors that fit our budget and style. She made the planning stress free and seamless.
Sam and team goes above and beyond what you would expect - always available for answer questions and calm my late night anxiety about a decision, literally coming with me to my hair/makeup trail because I am SO bad at knowing this stuff, giving me ideas / opinions on my wedding dress and other outfits and constantly reassuring me that the day was going to be incredible (which it was)!!!
Vendor Search / Selection Process - Finding vendors can be so overwhelming - who is good, dependable, available and in our price range? Sam made finding vendors so easy. She would understand the vibe we were looking for, find vendors available, pricing and often insta/website and send over in an email. It can be so hard to keep track of vendors, their responses, etc. Their initial vetting and option set made it so easy to make our decisions and feel confident.
Design - I would send Sam different instagrams and pictures and she was able to take my jumbled ideas and turn it into a stunning ceremony and reception. She brought our vision to life in a way that far exceeded our expectations. Sam and team knew where to invest to make our wedding stunning and personalized and other areas where we could save money. This meant so much to us and the design of the wedding blew us and our guests away.
Day of - When it came to the wedding day, every single detail was perfectly executed thanks to Sam and her team. They took cake of everything so I had zero stress. There are three examples that really exemplify M+M’s commitment to their clients: First, the day before the wedding we found out the ice cream machine (our sole dessert) was broken. Before worrying me, Sam worked with our venue to find a solution that was even better than the original. Second, I was being very annoying about wanting greenery background (while getting married in the city). Sam scoped out the most magical spot to do pictures and piled us all into her car and drove us there. Third, when the bridesmaid bouquets were slightly different than I had wanted, Sam instantly ran up to my room and made them AMAZING. I was in awe at how she so quickly fixed them.
There is no one else you want to ensure your wedding is the best day and your vision is brought to your life. I could go on forever about all of the reasons to hire M+M, but overall I promise it will be the best decision of your wedding!

Sam and her team go above and beyond to understand your budget, vision, and personal taste to deliver a beautiful wedding. Sam helped guide us but also ensured we put our own personal touches on the wedding to make it feel unique to our own style.
