Gail is a thoughtful and Thorough Officiant. She took the time to get to know us, explained everything to us, made sure our paper work was complete and done right and answered every question we had. Gail's kind and caring nature made us feel relaxed and comfortable on our wedding day. We are very pleased with our choice and definitely recommend her for anyone else's wedding.

Gail gave us the perfect ceremony. She somehow wrote our vows in a way that touched the hearts of two very different people. We will always be grateful to her.

Gail was great to work with! She almost immediately responded to my inquiry and made sure all of my questions were answered. She was incredibly informative and helped with aspects that I wouldn’t have even thought to ask about. Our ceremony went smoothly and she did an amazing job. Gail was very thorough over the phone while planning out how we wanted out ceremony to proceed, covering all aspects of the event and ensuring I was fully aware of what I needed to have done to make it all go as smoothly as our day did. She was professional, punctual, and very warm and thoughtful of our lesbian relationship while presiding over our marriage.

Gail did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. We were traveling from NV and meeting up with family in VA and the wedding was a surprise to the family so a lot of moving parts had to come together and Gail was instrumental in the event going off without a hitch. Our wedding was small and casual and brief but Gail still made it special and added enough soft touches to keep it memorable. Gail also helped us with all the how/when/where's of getting married in VA since we were from another state.

Gail was instrumental in making our special day as smooth as possible. She was informative, responsive, and accommodating. You could tell she put special thought into all the details of our ceremony, which we will always be grateful for. Highly recommend her services!

I truly cannot say enough great things about Gail! From the first time we spoke to the wedding day, she was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly thorough during the consultation and answered many of my questions before I even had a chance to ask them! Prior to my interview with Gail, my husband (still feels weird to say) and I discussed the traditional vows and though we wanted them to stay traditional we also weren't comfortable with some of the phrasing (honor and obey). I was nervous about asking for this change but before I could even bring the topic up Gail explained that though she kept the vows traditional she substituted/removed certain phrases, one being "honor and obey". For her to already be on the same page as us made our decision to hire her clear from the start and I don't think a better decision could've been made. She was polite, prompt and the vows she gave during the ceremony were absolutely beautiful! It's clear when you interact with Gail that it's her true passion to marry people. The way she speaks about it, the enthusiasm she shows, she simply loves, well, love! Working with someone who loves what they're doing so much is a wonderful feeling. Gail was lovely from start to finish! She spent a great deal of time talking to us during our initial phone consultation and provided very helpful information about what to do leading up to the wedding, what to expect the day of, as well as steps to follow after the wedding for name change, etc. The ceremony was beautiful and she is a true professional! It is clear she takes her role very seriously and I was incredibly grateful we found her for our wedding day!

Gail was amazing! We had some hiccups with the rehearsal because of the venue, but it was all worked out smoothly, even if our rehearsal date was the hottest, most humid day in history. The ceremony itself went off smoothly, and Gail wrote an excellent ceremony - I was honestly surprised considering she wasn't a personal friend and had only met us in person once for the rehearsal. She handled the legal aspect of our marriage easily as well.

We were so happy with the way Gail handled our ceremony from start to finish! She was very informative and guided us through the whole process. We could tell that she really listened to us during our phone interview and gave us wonderful suggestions which helped to make our day very special. We highly recommend her!

Gail was such a considerate, kind, and reliable person from the very first phone call consultation, through our follow-up question/review calls, and during the ceremony. The process of consultation and completing the paperwork was a breeze because Gail was so thorough. Definitely eased my wife’s and my own anxious minds! We were reassured and comforted by the fact that Gail covered everything with us and made the process super easy so we didn’t have to stress (much, haha) before our big day. The ceremony itself was beautiful. Gail’s speech was so poetic, and she did not make any stereotypical remarks or comments about us two ladies getting married. She has married LGBT+ folks for many years, which was also super reassuring. During our search for an officiant, I had been worried who we might find, especially after my brother and his wife had a officiant who made remarks during his speech about stereotypical gender roles husbands and wives have had. Big yikes. So when we found Gail on EnGAYged and saw that she used gender-neutral language, did not include any religious aspect if it was not wanted, and focused on the joy and love that should be celebrated in a ceremony, we knew we found a great officiant. We are so thankful that she was the one to unite my wife and I in marriage.

Gail was absolutely amazing. She walked us through every step of the process so we would know exactly what to do. We had to reschedule our wedding due to Covid and she was very accommodating. She worked with us to incorporate our children in the ceremony as well as a handfasting and it was intimate and beautiful! I highly recommend her!

Gail was a fantastic officiant. On our first phone call she spoke with us for over an hour on things that we may not have otherwise known in regards to obtaining a marriage license and what would be necessary to bring with us. She was open to writing our ceremony however we wished and gave us guidance on what we could include in our ceremony. She answered all of our questions and she ended up performing a hand fasting ceremony for us which was beautiful and one of our favorite moments throughout the day. Gail was a really great speaker and we enjoyed all that she had to say. It is very clear that she is knowledgeable and kind and her words were a wonderful contribution to our wedding. Gail was pleasant when we spoke with her over the phone for our initial consultation. We paid over $1,000 upfront for her services per her requirement, which included attendance at the wedding, rehearsal dinner, and even travel fees. Unfortunately we had to reschedule our wedding to 2021 due to COVID restrictions and most of our other vendors were great. We gave about 2 months advance notice before our scheduled wedding. Gail was unavailable on our new date, which is understandable. However she kept the entire amount of money we paid her and refused to return anything, despite her never actually officiating our wedding or even traveling to the location. We only had 1 hour-long consultation with her and spent over $1,000 just for that. It’s a shame as now we not only lost that money but we also need to spend more to hire a new officiant.

Gail is amazing! From the first consultation call to the actual ceremony, she provides great support and information! We originally planned to have our wedding in April at our fantastic venue. Unfortunately, due to the Corona virus, we had to postpone the big gathering. However, Gail worked with us so that we could still have a small ceremony on the date we picked. When we had to cancel our planned wedding due to covid-19, she was beyond helpful in our changing of plans to a small elopement. My wedding was far from traditional, which was perfect. After the ups and downs my now husband and I have gone through in 17 years, we both decided to say I do. The place were we decided to exchange vows was a Detention Center. Finding an officiant that wouldn't be judgmental or look down on our situation was critical for me.
