The location was perfect close to restaurants, shops, and major attractions. Breakfast had a good variety, and the dining area was clean and well managed. Overall, a fantastic experience. Sunshine works at the front desk and she made me and my husband stay wonderful! Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had the most wonderful experience. First of all, I made a big mistake that could have blown up in my face by booking for the wrong nights. When I showed up, there was a bit of a line because the hotel was rat...
her full for a local event. When I got to the counter, a lovely soul named Sunshine informed me they had been expecting me the night before. I promptly panicked when I saw the hotel was very busy! She was such a friendly and reassuring presence. She said she just wanted to make sure that everything was ok with me and that there had not been an emergency, and told me she would take care of the issue and not to worry. She did just that! Even ensuring I was not charged for a cancellation fee. She booked us into a lovely, newly renovated room, with such a professional and kind demeanor -- she was as unforgettable as the beautiful hotel. This was just the start of a wonderful experience at the Marriott Downtown Jax. While it was undergoing some construction in the lobby, it was very clean, comfortable, and a relaxing stay. The staff was a true highlight -- every single person we spoke with over the weekend was friendly, fast, and just plain killed it! Special shoutout to the valet team who demonstrated true hustle throughout the packed weekend!!! I will absolutely stay here every time I come to Jacksonville. Thanks to the entire team there...but especially you, Sunshine!
