Richard was a fantastic officiant. When we spoke with him to discuss our ceremony he helped us narrow in on what type of ceremony would best express our unique relationship and lov...
e. He provided us with suggestions of prior ceremonies that fit what we had in mind and was very accommodating - making sure we knew these ceremonies were completely customizable in terms of their content and ordering. At the same time, because Richard had helped us narrow down what we wanted for our ceremony, we never felt too overwhelmed by this process. Richard also made sure to get to know what makes our relationship special and what we value most about each other, incorporating this into our final ceremony. It was magical hearing the story of our journey together before we took our vows - reflecting on how much we had grown together and how much more was to come.
On the day of the ceremony, Richard was an extremely positive presence. Introducing himself to our friends and family before the ceremony began, he instilled a sense of calm and reverence for what was to come. The ceremony itself went off without a hitch. The ceremony was delivered fluently and compassionately: for a moment the world sparkled.
Afterwards, multiple of our guests went out of their way to express to us that our ceremony was one of the most moving and beautiful they had ever witnessed. We know that that would not have been possible without Richard’s stewardship and grace. We highly recommend him to anyone getting married in wine country.
Richard was great to work with and he helped make our big day personalized and meaningful. I would highly recommend him to anyone for their wedding ceremony.

hru the planning was thorough without being overwhelming. He is organized and easy to talk to. He crafted a ceremony for our couple that was meaningful and engaging. Even when the weather was a bit chilly for our ceremony, his words pulled the guests into the true purpose of our gathering to celebrate. We had no doubt he would be good, based on Knot reviews and our first conversation, but he truly exceeded our expectations and now I wish I could bring him to all of my weddings!

lucky enough to find Richard. I cannot say enough positive things about him! His presence is calming, he takes time to get to know the couples he works with and to craft a ceremony that fits their personalities and relationship.
The ceremony he put together for my now husband and I was absolutely perfect - it was funny at the right moments and serious at the right moments. It was the perfect mix of what we were looking for - light hearted but serious when it should be, given the importance of what we were doing. His tone was calming and you feel the importance of the moment through both his tone and his words.
We have heard over and over from our guests that Richard was amazing, and that it felt like he really knew us and our story.

and words were very powerful. We each filled out a survey and he asked to see our vows so that between his words and our vows there was no repetition. We planned our elopement with a 24 hour notice and sent him our survey the night before, and Richard came through.
We also ran into some clerical issues at the county clerk's office, which Richard was able to resolve for us quickly, which was very appreciated.

rather unimportant to me. I must say, I am so glad and grateful that my fiancé cared enough about our wedding and our ceremony to have chosen Reverend Richard Meyer. He was such a professional. He allowed us to cater our wedding to suit our needs and our particular circumstances. His words were so touching, his cadence calming. He moved not only me and my now husband but guest I thought were impervious to the words of love. Reverend Meyer said to calm us both that perfect ceremonies are soon forgotten but I disagree. I know that Reverend Meyer’s perfect ceremony will have a lasting impact in my life. I am eternally grateful to Reverend Meyer and honored that he was a part of our wedding.

His thoughtfulness and sincere dialogue used to tell our story was absolutely beautiful. Our guests were raving about him afterwards and thought we had known Richard for years!
