About this vendor
Jill with Marry Unordinary believes it's time we change the way we think about wedding ceremonies.
Gone are the days of serious, impersonal speeches from someone who doesn't know your story and is just regurgitating the same cookie-cutter ceremony from one wedding to another.
Here are the days where it's ok to laugh and have a little fun while you're commiting your life to someone.
The motto of Marry Unordinary is 'The Lighter Side of Life', because we live in a heavy world, and a wedding ceremony doesn't have to be that.
With Jill, you'll enjoy a heavily personalized ceremony that falls somewhere between a love story and a light-hearted (tasteful) roast. You, along with your family and friends, will laugh and cry as you become husband/wife. Or wife/wife. Or husband/ husband.

I knew we would hire Jill the moment we got off our first call. She is so easy to talk to, a great listener & story teller, and she has a great energy to her all around! She was so...
amazing at engaging our guests. She had all of us laughing, smiling, and crying. Our guests thought we had been friends for years with the way she put our story together, so personal and heart felt. We wanted someone that we would make us feel comfortable in front of so many people and Jill was just that! She is such a great public speaker and truly great at what she does. Would highly recommend her to anyone/everyone we know!
I cannot even begin to thank Jill enough for the incredible ceremony. It was FANTASTIC and the amount of people (probably EVERYONE) commenting on her officiating was amazing. She t...
ruly puts her heart and soul into this and it shows. Everyone was beyond impressed and LOVED the entire ceremony. If there was a better word for perfection, it still wouldn't do it justice. She makes every effort to get to know us individually and as a couple. She was able to articulate our love story in a manner that felt like "us" even when most of our life was spent on the other coast! Jill orchestrated the most perfect ceremony and gave us the most perfect day for our marriage.
Jill tied with the food for being the best part of our wedding. Hands down, our guests commented on the food and our ceremony - specifically how Jill did such an amazing job. Jill ...
was very professional from the moment we reached out for more information about her services to the wedding say itself. If you are looking for an officiant that is going to take the time to get to know you, make your wedding feel personal, and most of all fun, I would absolutely in a heartbeat recommend Jill.
When planning our micro wedding for July, we knew we wanted a more personalized and interesting ceremony than the standard traditional weddings: something that would really help us...
connect with our friends and family in a memorable ceremony. After our initial video call, we clicked with Jill and knew she was the one. She sent us some homework to complete (some together, some separately), and took an hour over coffee to ask some more questions and get to know us better. We were stunned at how well Jill was able to grab those details and, through her impressive creative writing skills, craft a super personalized ceremony. She did an impressive job weaving together details of our lives to tell a compelling story about our relationship in a way that our guests found engaging and fun. We got many compliments on how well the ceremony went, and some thought for sure Jill was a personal friend given how well she seemed to know us! We're super pleased to have chosen Jill for this once in a lifetime experience, and now we'll have something memorable to cherish forever. We highly recommend her!
Jill married us on 6/5/2021. When looking for an officiant, we didn't want to ask a family member or friend who we'd rather have focused on enjoying the day and the ceremony. We wa...
nted our ceremony to be short, sweet, and meaningful but not religious or stuffy. When we met with Jill for the first time, we knew she was the perfect match. Jill took the time to get to know us, first over video chat (as our planning happened during COVID), then through thoughtful written questions, and finally we were able to meet in person. Yes, there was a little homework. It was totally worth it, Jill was able to share the things that make us right for each other and preview what our marriage will be like for our friends and family. She took every request we had and worked it in flawlessly, even that she reference The Princess Bride. Jill had our guests laughing and crying (but only a little). We got so many compliments on the ceremony and the work she put into it. If you're looking for someone who will take your wedding and your marriage seriously, who will treat you with love and kindness, and who will make ceremony planning fun and easy, look no further.
