They were incredible during our engagement photoshoot, even rescheduling with zero problems when the hair and makeup I had done for the photos ended up looking pretty atrocious. The team kept in contact with us consistently from the time we booked them straight through to the wedding day (and even afterwards!), and we always knew exactly what was going on and what to expect. They showed up much earlier than we had expected for the wedding, came with amazing ideas for photos and our videos, and spent the entire day and night working tirelessly to capture as much as humanly possible. We had told them we wanted some formal photos with family, bridal party, etc before the ceremony (we also did a first look) and that for the cocktail hour and reception, we were looking for more of a "natural, candid" style. They followed that to a T and we truly didn't even realize they were there throughout the night! We were able to just have fun and celebrate with our guests without constantly being pulled aside for posed photos, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. We had a special request to get a large group photo on the dance floor with as many guests as possible, and Virginia literally climbed on top of a stepladder with her camera in tow just to get the shot we had asked for. Marsal Studios went so above and beyond for our wedding, and they did even more than we ever could have hoped for. We absolutely love Virginia and Rick, and I have already recommended them to people I know!!!

They were present at our rehearsal and during the rehearsal offered the benefit of their advice to insure best picture outcomes for the wedding. During the entire day of the wedding, Virginia and Rick were always present, yet barely seen. nd Rick stood out as being extremely warm and friendly, treating us like family and eager to assist us with our needs. There was not one thing asked that they were not prepared to handle. They were very creative and helped expand upon the ideas that we brought to them. They are very affordable and give you all day service which is rare in the wedding business. We had a tight budget and when we mentioned not being able to get an album right away, they informed us that they keep records of all pictures and videos for ten years and that we could purchase an album from them at any time. This was extremely helpful in our wedding planning. Within a month or two we met them at Wickjam Park. Virginia and Rick were eager to go and we had a very fun time with both funny and romantic pictures throughout the park. When we saw the pictures later we requested a couple of minor alterations and tweaks. Virginia and Rick were very flexible about this and only asked for further detail prior to making the changes that we asked. Once these were done we used them for our Save the Dates, which everyone thought were beautiful! On rehearsal night, Virginia and Rick joined us along with the Justice of the Peace, whom they actually recommended to us during our earlier meetings. The trio were very effective at keeping us organized and focused on what we needed to know and perform for the ceremony. This spoke a lot to their dedication towards making the actual wedding day run smoothly. As mentioned previously, we were lucky to have Virginia and Rick spend the entire day with us. Starting around 11 am, Virginia spent time with the bridesmaids and bride during hair and makeup preparations while Rick spent the early afternoon with the groom and groomsmen. Both were very patient and helpful throughout the day which are great attributes to have during such chaotic moments leading up to and including the wedding. After the ceremony was concluded, Virginia and Rick took an aerial group photo of all of the guests and bridal party which we had asked for in our discussions. During the remaining photo sessions, they both took their time to make sure every photo was done right and even took some night time photos to bring out beautiful visual effects. They showed us previews before proceeding to the following photo and they looked amazing! We are very excited to share these with our family and friends. During the reception, Virginia and Rick worked together to cover the entire room in order to get plenty of pictures and videos of the guests, specific events held at the reception, and of course the dancing! All of our guests said that Virginia and Rick were so friendly and treated them like family. We would definitely recommend Marsal Studios to everyone and we look forward to working with them again for future events!

My husband, who is usually shy, had so much fun and was so relaxed! The morning of my wedding, I was obviously excited/nervous/stressed/pulled in a hundred direction, but Virginia helped me relax and enjoy the morning! g had an early morning and they were there from the start. It is really because of them that we have so many wonderful pictures and the video is incredible! We were also lucky enough to develop a strong bond and friendship with them and now use them for our growing family. They have embraced us into their "family." Our pictures turned out better than we could have expected and we had such a fun time doing it (including my husband, who hates taking pictures)! the UK is hard enough in itself but when you add the fact the Bride (ME) has Disability’s and is wheelchair bound, but is also like other brides and has wishes and wants and dreams and feelings. It gets a little challenging. BUT Virginia and Rick not only Rose to the challenge they went above and beyond. I thought before looking for a photographer that finding one for my wedding was going to be hard as whenever I have tried find one for any occasion, as soon as I say ‘I am in a wheelchair’ they make their excuses and run a mile. John and I had choose to contact Marshal Studios First for a few reasons, we liked the look of the pictures on their site, the reviews of how Person centred Virginia and Rick where and we also wanted to have a video of our wedding ceremony as My Family would be in the UK still unable to be there with me. I was prepared for the usual Knock down but was totally overwhelmed and surprised by the kindness of Virginia and Rick who not only agreed to take our Photos and record our ceremony they were full of amazing suggestions to. They understood my wishes and wants to have some pictures OUT of my wheelchair to feel like a ‘normal Bride’ like everyone else. Even though no one was quite sure how we were going to do this till the day as I was not arriving in the USA till 2 days before the wedding. Nothing seemed to hold them back or concern them, they only seem to come up with more great ideas, Their best being the idea to have John sit down during the ceremony so, as Virginia put it ‘no one was over towering The Bride on MY day’ Both Virginia and Rick where nothing short of absolutely amazing helping me to get from my wheelchair to a ‘normal chair’ My disability and equipment wasn’t part of me and my wedding any more but things to move out the way, they made all my wishes come true. Using props to make it look like I had ‘normal legs’ up on the sofa… I, for a few moments became a ‘normal bride’ a happy normal bride… no wheelchair no disability’s. And I will forever have the pictures and film to remember those moments. Their attention to detail is Outstanding, their care for their customers is more than professional it’s personal. It’s honest and it’s true. And it truly shines through in there photos and videos. Virginia and Rick help’t me have an amazingly dream come true wedding not only getting around fact I lived in another country but the fact I was disabled. That speaks a million words about them and who they are as people. I will be forever grateful for what they have given me and John for the start of our marriage!

nd our photographers - warm, loving and just in our price range :) Mandy and Rick shot our engagement photos and wedding and were incredible (serious understatement). I was all sorts of nervous about being a bride and the focus of attention that day and having Mandy trail me with a smile and camera in hand put me at ease. She is one of those warm people you just want to be friends with the instant you meet her - which then makes it feel so easy to have her there with your whole crew, friends, crazy family and all. She was just awesome. Rick was with the grooms family and showed up before my husband even did because they were worried they might hit traffic. That's the kind of photographer you want on your wedding day. Through the course of the day they were able to navigate family, gracefully coordinated the bridal party, flex around anything that came up during the day and battle the heat of July. They were just great. We received the photos about a month after the wedding and could not have been happier. I'm amazed by how many awesome shots we got and how many moments they were able to capture that I didn't even realize they had. It was beyond perfect. Alas, I could go on and on but all you need to know is that if you go with Marsal studios you're not only getting great photographers/videographers but amazing people who will make sure to capture these beautiful memories. n time limits. I was getting frustrated and stressed out until I encountered Marsal Studios on a whim (Facebook ad?). Since they were located in Westbook and my wedding was at Saybrook Point Inn, I figured they were geographically convenient. When I e-mailed owner/photographer Virginia Roberts, she immediately got back to me and had a very pleasant tone. So my then-fiance (now husband) and I ventured south to Westbrook to meet Virginia at Marsal Studios (which she co-owns with her husband, Rick) located in the Water's Edge shops. Immediately, Jason and I were drawn to Virginia's gentle demeanor and sincerity. The photos were stunning and the videos were spectacular! For the price, we got two photographers and unlimited time; which was true value considering that most photography studios charged more for one photographer and less amount of time (6 hours). We were so impressed with Marsal Studios that we booked them on the spot! Our wedding day proved that we made the right decision in selecting Virginia and her team at Marsal Studios; they really were some of the hardest working people in the wedding industry. Virginia arrived at my room at 9 a.m. and worked until 11 p.m., when the reception ended. She was very easy to work with and all of my moms and attendants loved having her there. Tom, her assistant, photographed the guys getting ready. Many of our guests were impressed with the amount of shots they took, including two former photographers. From looking at our photos, I was so happy with the outcome, as were the guests! Looking at my wedding album helps me relive the best day of my life. I highly recommend brides-to-be to look into Marsal Studios. Don't worry; they do not try to upsell you anything and you won't be disappointed.

eavy winds from the water. The crew helped us put something together fast before our guests arrived. I was so appreciative as they used their imagination and created this beautiful scene for where we would be saying our vows. Instead of using an arch, They wrapped the two colors of our wedding on two palm threes with star fish over it. It was such a jaw dropping idea, I myself would have never thought of it. I loved it even better than the arch they had for us, because it just went with our theme of the beach. One of the girls (Mandy) even used her hair clips to hold it together. It was so amazing!! I have never felt so welcomed to such wonderful and warm people. To meeting them a year before and a month before our wedding, I knew they were perfect for all our needs. I couldn't be happier with my pictures and video. Their wedding albums are spectacular as they send them out to Italy to be created. Their are so many different options and I can't wait to receive it! The entire night was beautiful and when I received my pictures, I literally cried! They captured pictures with my parents that I never thought I would get. My husband dancing with his mom. Our nephews smiling, my cousins dancing....just all my pictures were everything I wanted and more! Virginia asked me everything I wanted for my day, and asked what ideas that I had. They did everything that I wanted for pictures, used all my ideas and made us feel so comfortable. We weren't rushed or pulled away like most photographers do. Most of the night, I didn't even know they were there and honestly that's why our wedding pictures came out magnificent. I would recommend Marsal Studios to anyone!! She made sure to get all the pictures I wanted even through my complaining (I was a fussy bride) and I am so thankful for it. onate Ordination, they perfected my parents-in-law's wedding album from their wedding 30 years ago, an elegant boudoir photo shoot, and our videography for our wedding. They captured the day perfectly and were there every step of the way. They were incredibly thorough with securing all of the details of the day, and even popped in to our rehearsal dinner to say hello. Mandy attended the "bridal party's get-ready-bash" and captured the morning while keeping us all laughing and at ease. And Rick headed to join the groomsmen as their get-ready routine involved pool basketball, the Thriller Dance, and a few minutes of getting ready. ;) The staff at Marsal Studios are incredibly compassionate, charming, easygoing, and wonderful to be around. a military bride trying to figure everything out while my fiance was away in training. My first meeting with Virginia was amazing I knew right then and there they were hired. She made me feel right at home. My fiance was home for five days before we moved to texas and she made sure we got our engagement pictures in! They were flexible and understand. They were amazing to deal with from long distance. I would recommend them to everyone. Especially if your far away and military! Right before my wedding I had dreams of certain pictures and they made sure they happened. My wedding day was perfect. They even came to the rehearsal and helped us out! The proofs were posted online within 2 weeks of our wedding date and the album proofs within a week of my submitting the photos to Virginia. You are truly part of the family when you become a Marsal bride. I have continued to return for my belly shots when pregnant and family photos with my son, and I will continue to do so for as long as I can.

hey also did a "love story" photo reel for us (pictures of us growing up, together, and from the engagement shoot) and they played it at the reception on a monitor. Everyone thought it was so adorable! They met with us beforehand several times to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. And they make sure not to pose you too much- we never got annoyed with them. They were very respectful at the church- once the ceremony started, I barely noticed their presence. And at the reception, they only took posed pictures when we wanted to. They took a lot of candid shots- which I love! Make sure you are patient about the pictures. They take a week or so to get online, but they are definitely worth the wait!!! They got so many good ones- I am not sure how I am going to choose which ones to put in my wedding album!
