Dinners were served cold (& disgusting) and incorrect and multiple people didn't receive their dinners despite the fact that I over paid by multiple heads! Grounds were unkept, the only thing growing in the flower beds were weeds. The bridal suite was filthy dirty and had no air conditioning (yea I feel bad for those getting married in July!!) No food or beverage could be served to the bridal suite until after 12pm. The wedding reception was not set up even an hour prior to the wedding and Vanessa could have given 2 shits. None of the decorations were set up in the proper locations (literally not 1 - not an exaggeration), my engagement photos were set on the table with my dead relatives photos which were supposed to be on the piano (& only half of the pictures were even displayed)! Vanessa helped with nothing -- I even had to create my own table arrangement on a power point because she didnt have any (and she still didn't set it up correct). Prior to coming out on the dance floor with my bridal party she made all of my bridesmaids and groomsman sit down and order dinner (even though I already provided that to her prior to the wedding)... then they had to come back and then get introduced. Last, but not least... it takes 3-4 days for Vanessa to answer emails (with 1 word answers) and was never there to answer the damn phone so everything was me leaving a message. Vanessa needs to go immediately as well as a change in the entire management team. I'll never recommend this location to anyone. Its sad because it could be such a great location instead its a shithole.

During our first call 6 months before our wedding she told me that if I was not happy that I could just get my money back and go elsewhere! Her response time to calls, text and emails was absolutely horrendous, let alone rude in tone. We reached out to owner David Bassinder, who was initially mortified by our complaints. Afterwards she was very responsive one time, and then quickly became vengeful and bitter. The week of our wedding it stated in the contract that We would be able to prep the room on Wednesday and Thursday, well the contract was broken as a bridal expo was scheduled. David tried to appease us by offering his boat and a pianist, but I refused, as all I wanted was to not work with Kristin. On Thursday before our wedding I go with my family to set up the venue. I sent my sister to Kristin to ask my questions to avoid her attitude, Instead Kristin physically pushes my sister and comes at me! She becomes extremely defensive and attacking me with words and raising her voice. I remain calm and appropriate the entire time and stated that I will reserve my comments until after the wedding. Needless to say Kristin was looking for a fight. She said no to all my questions and requests just to be vengeful and an immature teenager. My mother took back our bottle of champagne from Kristin’s assistant’s hands and had a few words to share. Kristin calls the cops on us because according to her brainless mind my mother attacked her assistant and we were all abusing her! Cops came and sided with me. Kristin was requested to not be at my wedding, And they told me to write a hearty review after the wedding. They never even took our names down as they said it was insignificant and pointless. What a disgrace! What an embarrassment! What terrible customer service! I called David and told him that he obviously did not care about who was representing his business at this point and that it is a true shame that such an undeserving person is In a manager position. He said he didn’t care and that I needed to basically lower my expectations at this point and didn’t care if I was going to write a review. Later that night I got wonderful validation from some of the staff there that thanked me for brining this issue up to David and validated all of my feelings about Kristin as they all agreed with me that she is rude, unprofessional, and possibly providing favors to the owner which may explain him not firing her for such inappropriate behavior. Later that night David tried to make the situation better as I am sure he realized the astronomical mistake he and Kristin had made that day, and wanted to offer us dinner and champagne that evening, I said no. Needless to say the venue and the food is beautiful however the lack of customer service and horribleness that Kristin brings to this facility counteracts anything nice about it. Our wedding day went great only because Kristin was not present. Kristin is a disgrace to the customer service business and should be stripped of any and all positions that require customer service as she is truly incapable of being appropriate and professional. Do not book at this venue unless you are promised that another person will manage your event!

would give Martell's five stars. Our biggest issue was the facility staff. There was a big lack of communication from them when it came to emails. There were several times that myself, groom, and family sent emails to the staff asking questions about how we would handle things for the wedding day or about payments and they were never answered until after a phone call was placed. This was very frustrating as they were simple questions that could have been quickly answered. Come our wedding day everything went well and Kristen (the newly appointed wedding manager) was very friendly and helpful as we set up. The first issue was had was during our wedding photos when another staff member came out to us and demanded that we come inside as the reception must start now. We explained to her that from the first day we booked the venue we would not be entering the reception until 6:30 as we wanted to get sunset photos. (It was around 6:10 when this happened). She quickly left in a huff and we continued to take our photos. Moments later she returned once again demanding that we come inside as we were throwing off the food schedule and it could not wait. We then replied that we would be in soon we wanted to finish getting our photos. Our photographer also tried to explain to her that in the next 10 minutes would be the best time for photos. She then left again and returned about 2 minutes later again telling us we had to come in now. Feeling pressured we reluctantly came inside missing the best time for sunset photos. The rest of the reception went well and the other staff continued to be nice friendly and helpful to us. The end of the night was when we encountered our second issue with this facility. Our DJ had just completed the last song for the night and as soon as it ended the lights abruptly came on and the staff came in and started to clean up around us. Everyone was shocked and upset about how abrupt our night was ended. Our DJ even came up to us and stated he was not done for the night as he was going to slowly close out the night and thank people for coming to celebrate with us. (Time was 5 minutes over our "scheduled" end time). As we were cleaning up and saying goodbye to our guests the same person from earlier came over and said very loudly "Not to be rude be we need you to get out of this room as we need to set up for a wedding tomorrow". Thus kicking us out of the room while our family and friends were trying to clean up our gifts, cards etc. My mother said they were just carrying stuff out of the room and sticking in another room. This was very dishearting to hear as we paid well to host our wedding at this venue to be more less kicked out without warning or even a courtesy of being told we were out of time or approaching the end time for the event. We will say Kristen just took over as the wedding coordinator for the venue and she was very friendly and helpful to us. She was a pleasure to work with and we were her first wedding. We hope in the future she will prevent the same things that happened to us from happening to anyone else. As said overall the location, venue, food, and drinks were excellent and the few issues abover were the only reason for not giving this venu 5 stars.
