Marti did BEAUTIFUL job designing florals for our wedding on 9/4. With vendors managing crazy schedules this wedding season & flower shortages due to the pandemic, we were a little nervous going into the day - all I can say is that we were right to trust Marti because everything looked absolutely spectacular! All the arrangements were stunning and exactly what I was envisioning - I especially loved the florals Marti used for our chuppah, which made for a gorgeous ceremony! As someone who knows nothing about flowers and has very little design skills, I could not be happier with the way Marti brought my vision to life. I highly HIGHLY recommend working with her!

Marti & her team were absolutely amazing. She is a true professional and really understands her craft. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and Marti was flexible and helpful with the decision. For our wedding she provided the flowers and they were absolutely beautiful. Marti is so amazing to work with! She completely captured my vision and dream and went above and beyond. Marti Heard's designs are just as magical as she is. She was willing to take risks with us and pushed us to take some too. She was wonderful at balancing what I wanted and what he wanted. She gave us the urban jungle vibe we dreamed up together and we couldn't have been happier! She's wonderful about coordinating with venues (even when the venues aren't always great) and coordinating with our wedding cake bakery. She flexed to last minute requests and other vendor mistakes with grace and ease. She helped direct us to the most important things we needed to splurge on and talked us out of some potentially expensive pitfalls. Her experience was invaluable! And she's also a genuinely cool person, so that helps!

Marti is so great to work with! Throughout the entire process she helped me bring together all the random pieces I had in my mind to create a beautiful, romantic setting for our perfect day. From the first phone call, Marti understood what I wanted and what I liked. During our meetings and conversations she also helped remind me that everything didn't need to happen at once, and to take time to enjoy the process. She was able to answer all my questions and picking out containers and candles were easy and effortless. On the day of our bouquets were absolutely gorgeous and full! Definitely worth every penny. She perfectly incorporated keepsake items I had given her into mine and the bridesmaids bouquets. The arrangements were perfect for the ceremony and the reception table centerpieces - a great way to save and carry the same feeling from the ceremony to the reception. I had provided lanterns (for the aisle during the ceremony and the tables during the reception) and her flower arrangement for them did exactly what I wanted, elevating the lanterns without covering them up. Everything was absolutely picture perfect!

Marti is a dream to work with! She is so sweet, incredibly talented and will listen to your ideas to create the perfect vision. I didn’t worry at all about our flowers on the wedding day because I knew she’d knock it out of the park- everything was beautiful! Would work with her again in a heartbeat!

Marti is THE best florist in Cincinnati!! She is so fun to work with and made our day truly memorable. I wanted the flowers to be a focal point at my wedding so, choosing the right florist was very important to me. I made the best decision when I hired Marti. She made my dreams come to life.. from the flowers to the vases and candles, she truly made the tables at my reception beautiful. She has great suggestions and truly wants your event to be perfect. Marti is so wonderful to work with! From the first time I met with her, I just knew she understood my vision. As my wedding got closer there were some additional ideas I had and I was amazed by how she had them come to life. It was so exciting walking into my wedding and seeing her magic. I also absolutely loved my bouquet. It was huge and everything that I imagined. We have received so many complements from our guests about our flowers, and we truly cannot thank Marti enough! It was a bonus that she shares a space with Maura Bassman because we could do our wedding planning and floral consultations back to back which was a huge time saver. They are such a great combo to work with : )

Marti was so wonderful to work with! She immediately knew exactly the look I was going for, and when we first met, I knew that her work would be beautiful. She was also very familiar with our venues, which was really reassuring and important to me. Every arrangement was perfect--from the centerpieces to the bouquets to the boutonnieres (and all of the other decorative flowers too!), everything was exactly what we'd envisioned and more. My bouquet was stunning and better than I could have imagined. We had so many compliments on the flowers from our friends and family, and they look just as amazing in our pictures. We had such a great experience with Marti and would recommend her to anyone!

Marti is AMAZING. My mom used to own a flower shop in DC so we cared a lot that our flowers were gorgeous. We were so impressed they truly could have not turned out more beautifully. Many of my friends told me they were the most beautiful wedding florals they have ever seen. Definitely look at images of Marti’a work, they speak for themselves. She was a joy to work with!

WOW! If you want a magician - hire Marti. Marti and her team created GORGEOUS bouquets, boutonnieres, flower girl accessories, etc., for our special day. The table arrangements and centerpieces were exactly what we had envisioned - warm, rustic, and beautiful. The BEST part of Marti is her ability to create something extraordinary. About 2 weeks before our big day, I freaked out because I realized that there was a huge TV above the fireplace that we were going to get married in front of. Marti quickly comforted my fears and immediately thought of ways to distract the eye. What turned out was (in my opinion), the most gorgeous floral installation! Our guests could not stop talking about the piece nor stop taking photos in front of it! Marti is the best of the best.

I’ll start by saying, I really don’t know how I can do Marti justice in 3,500 characters without saying what has already undoubtedly been said. My husband and I did not have an outrageous budget for flowers and I had originally contacted Marti as a long shot hoping she could make our budget work for us because I had seen her extensive publication resume. As a bride who knew she wanted flowers and just wanted them to be beautiful and make a lasting impression but didn’t know how to articulate anything more than that.... I couldn’t have asked for more than Marti. When my flowers arrived on the morning of my wedding I was speechless. It took nearly all my bridesmaids to convince me to let go of my bouquet after photos and let it sit in its spot in front of me on our bridal table- it was so beautiful! I never knew I could receive so many compliments in a single day and the flowers were such a huge part of the beauty. I don’t know if this is the case for every bride but my bouquet was such an beautiful work of art that it became my most treasured accessory for the day! And of course the venue looked amazing. I knew I wanted to spend time in the space before cocktail hour concluded to walk around and take it all in, and the beauty and the absolutely divine floral aroma brought me this sense of surreality. Marti is truly an artist- her bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces, garlands, and cake embellishments took our wedding to a place of elegance I couldn’t have ever done without her help. And what’s best is that she did it all while working within our budget and being flexible about options when we started to get sticker shock. I remember introducing my mom and dad to Marti at our details meeting by saying “this is Marti; she’s amazing” and on the night of my wedding we looked at the centerpiece at their table and all said in almost near unison- the Amazing Marti! Thank you so much for bringing the magic to our most magical, memorable day.

Thank you so much for creating the most beautiful flowers I could have ever asked for! You knew exactly what we wanted, without even speaking a word! The display under which we solidified our marriage was absolutely stunning, the centerpieces were breathtaking, the fireplace mantle was elaborate, the cloche display was so mystical, and our bridal party looked incredible holding such beautiful pieces of art! My daughters wedding flowers were stunning thanks to the expertise of Marti Heard! She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. She NAILED Kara’s vision! She constructed a floorscape that was so very unique. Several of our guests raved about the quality and beauty of all the flowers from the bouquets to the centerpieces and everything else Marti provided. We would highly recommend for your upcoming wedding or event!

Where can I possibly begin?! We contacted Marti after our photographer and a close friend recommended her. From the very first meeting, I knew Marti had to be our florist because I could tell she just got what we wanted for our wedding. We used Marti and her assistant Kay as our florists and day of coordinators. WOW! They seriously MADE our wedding. Any question, worry, stress, concern I had they had a solution and stepped right in to help. They worked well with our families, they were loved by our wedding party, and they made the whole day PERFECT. I feel a little over the top saying that our day was perfect, but it truly was and it was because of these two wonderful people! Another thing that is amazing about Marti is her design ability. I simply showed her some pictures, shared with her our vision, and let her run with it. Book Marti and Kay, trust them, let them run with it, and you will not be disappointed, you will be blown away with how amazing it turns out!

Marti was truly the one vendor that took my wedding from nice to breathtakingly beautiful. She transformed my large, historic venue into something more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined (my jaw literally dropped when I saw the room for the first time). I am a graphic designer, so I had vision of what I wanted, but did not know how to articulate this. After meeting with Marti, she completely understood my aesthetic and created the PERFECT bouquets, centerpieces, and church details specifically for my taste. This is not your cookie cutter florist; she is a true artist who will listen to you and design based on your specific wedding day. Marti also cares about every detail beyond the flowers. I had off handedly mentioned in our meeting I was struggling to find a lighting company, and on the spot she gave me multiple recommendations. She even talked to the vendor I ended up going with to help him understand the aesthetic of the wedding! Seriously, how many vendors would take the time to do that?! I had SO many compliments on my flowers. I even had people noticing how wonderful the space smelled thanks to Marti’s lush arrangements - something I have never noticed at another wedding! I only have amazing things to say about Marti and her craft. You can put all your trust in her, because she will make your day more beautiful than you could ever envision!

Marti is amazing! Besides being hysterical and so much fun to be around, she has a way of taking your descriptions and ideas and bringing them together in the most seamless vision that exceeded my wildest expectations. I was an out of town bride, so most of my planning was done via my Pinterest board, and she nailed it. Marti did an amazing job of balancing my random thoughts, providing constructive feedback in the friendliest way, and making amazing suggestions. She made my dream come true. If I could give more than 5 starts, i definitely would, and can't recommend her and her team highly enough.

Marti made my visions come to life. She was so easy to work with did the most amazing work ! My flowers were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Marti was able to incorporate small items that meant the world to me in such an elegant way. I can not thank her enough for making our day so amazing !!!

There are so many amazing things I can say about Marti! We met with a few different people, and I didn't feel like anyone truly cared about our day or vision until we met with her. We weren't 100% on what we wanted, but somehow Marti sent us a design that matched our thoughts and delivered the most memorable, amazing florals that helped make our day beautiful. She is personable, prompt, fun, and so so easy and great to work with. She is willing to work with your budget, and help you see the things that can be re-used from ceremony to reception. Do not look anywhere else! Marti is EVERYTHING! She is so talented and passionate about her business. I did not have to explain my vision in detail... she just knew. And everything, I mean every single detail, was absolutely amazing. I mean I had an actual pomegranate in my bouquet. You will not be disappointed! She made me look like a queen on the wedding day and everything else was just magic.

I chose Marti Heard Designs as my floral vendor for my August 2016 wedding. In my initial meeting with Marti in 2015, I was blown away by how well she "got me" and my vision for my wedding. Within a day or two, she sent me a vision board that was SPOT ON- she listened to what I said and was able to translate it into pictures to use as inspiration. Over the next 14 months, Marti consistently went above and beyond. I didn't have a great wedding planner, and when she failed to come to a crucial meeting to pick out rentals, linens, etc, Marti made sure to be present and pick up the wedding planner piece. My idea of a dream reception was one filled with unique florals- and I had a vision for those, even down to the cake. Marti listened to me, and created the most beautiful bouquets and centerpieces I have ever seen; as well as unique touches throughout the reception. For instance, I had a custom logo that was on everything from the napkins, to the cups, to the invitations. Inspired by that logo, Marti made a boxwood wall, using flowers as our initials. That logo hung over the dance floor and added to that "Wow factor". I am sad because my wedding is over, and it was such a blast to work with Marti. She exceeded expectations by a billion and was, hands down, the easiest vendor to work with. The best part is that, through it all, I feel like I gained a friend. Thank you, Marti, for everything you did for us- you are the best!!!

We were looking for loose, lush, romantic flowers for our wedding, and Marti created stunning arrangements that beautifully complemented The Monastery Event Center and the bridal party. She asked the right questions to help me put into words what we were looking for, and she was very willing to work within our budget and color palette, adjusting flower choices and scales of arrangements to maintain impact in the right places. I appreciated that she saw opportunities to use the arrangements in different ways to get the most use out of them throughout the day (e.g. our ceremony altar arrangements became our large-scale table arrangements at the reception). Also, she worked directly with our venue, so I didn't have to worry about any logistics after the final decisions had been made. Would definitely recommend!

Marti was the best. We had some difficult challenges planning as the wedding was in Europe, but Marti pulled through and made sure everything was perfect!

Marti is one of the most talented and incredible women in the business. She is flexible, professional, insanely amazing at what she does, and just downright one of the best florists in Cincinnati. Right from the beginning, Marti helped me through this process. As an out of town bride, she took the time to listen to what i envisioned, sent me a quote with pictures, and continued to tweak the arrangements as we got closer to the big day. We met one time in person to select vases and things, but for the most part she simply took what I told her I wanted and just created it. My flowers were absolutely incredibly everything I ever wanted and then some. My guests commented on the aesthetics the whole night. Marti even added extra greens and things in places we hadn't even talked about that just made everything look so cohesive and beautiful. You should hire her. I can't say enough incredible words to describe this woman and her talents! You go Marti!

I can't say enough great things about Marti's Floral Designs! After a couple unsuccessful and stressful meetings with other top florists in the area, I put off flowers longer than I should have. When I finally went to Marti, all my flower stress was lifted! She made flowers seem simple. I gave her my budget and shared a few pictures from my inspiration board, and she created exactly what I had envisioned. We had beautiful center pieces at 2 different price points and designs, and the most stunning bouquets I've ever seen. She never once tried to convince me to pick anything over my budget. She was flexible, allowing us to make changes up until the final few days, and always super quick to respond to my emails and questions. I would highly recommend her!

I just did flowers for people for my wedding (parents, grandparents, 4 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen, 2 ring bearers, flower girl ball, bride, groom, toss bouquet)- no centerpieces or cake flowers. I had one meeting with Marti about a year out from the wedding and didn't really touch base with her much until it was time for our event. The bouquets and boutineers were perfect and so beautiful. Even after just the one meeting, they were exactly what I wanted. My grandfather passed away early this year, and I wanted Irish Bells in memory of him. Those flowers were worked in beautifully. What a tribute! Marti is truly talented, and I'd highly recommend her to anyone!

We had high hopes for Marti’s Floral Designs. The center pieces, flowers for the bridal party and the bride flowers were very pretty. Unfortunately, the flowers were delivered late, thus none of the pre-wedding pictures include flowers. The flowers for the groom party were not what was ordered, as we were told the flowers didn’t clear customs. The groom party flowers ended up being roses that fell apart within 2 hours of being delivered. We contacted the business to express our concerns, yet it took over 6 weeks to receive a refund for the groom party flowers. We tried to email and call the business, yet responses to our concerns were often ignored or went unanswered for weeks at a time. Perhaps our experience was just a fluke, yet very disappointed in the service for the amount of money that was spent.

Marti is AMAZING! A friend of ours who used her a few years ago recommended her, and we're so glad we went with her. She has such a creative eye and pays attention to all of the details. Extremely personable and just overall inviting and you can trust her with your wedding vision. She dedicated the entire day to us, to make sure everything got placed on time and at the right time. We took all of the beautiful arrangements home afterwards. She brings extra flowers and just places little tucks of beauty all around where she feels its needed. Using Marti was probably one of the best decisions we had for the wedding!

If you want to have gorgeous arrangements, Marti is the girl to go to. She really listens to what you love and how you want your overall day to look. She made my wedding feel so romantic with the beautiful flowers she provided for my wedding. I highly recommend!

I chose Marti because of the unique flower designs and decorating I had seen in other wedding photos. I knew she was talented from the beginning. Over many months, Marti worked with me and changed my floral estimate numerous times as my theme or ideas for the wedding evolved. She rearranged her schedule several times to meet with me and for last minute requests. The final result was breathtaking and more than I could have dreamed of. The first and few tears shed on my wedding day were when the bouquets arrived. I spent so many hours on SMP and other blogs admiring beautiful flowers, but the bouquets and arrangements Marti designed were prettier than anything I had seen. She also really worked with us to stick to our budget. Marti also was an all around great person- my mom, now husband and I loved getting to know her.

My fiancee worked with Marti on the flowers for both the Ceremony & Reception for our wedding. We were so pleased with the results -- simply stunning floral decorations. Marti really hit it out of the ballpark for our wedding. We loved how everything came together, even better than we imagined.

Marti was amazing! From the second you step into her shop,you know you'll get something special. Marti herself is funny, talented, friendly, and wonderful to work with. We met more than once to talk theme of my wedding, what I envisioned, flower suggestions and to go over everything my paramour bride-brain could think of :) Not only does she do flowers, but she also does linens, decorations,candles and more! She was great and I'll be looking for excuses to use Marti again!

I gave Marti some colors and a lot of freedom in selecting flowers for my bouquets. She came up with amazing combinations that I received many compliments on.

The flowers for our wedding were spectacular. Marti did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend her. She is very talented and makes an effort to work within budget. Marti met with us several times to ensure that we were happy and was very fun to work with.

To say that Marti exceeded my expectations is an understatement. She was simply amazing. She was very involved in the design process from the beginning of initial design concepts to the final product. She helped me make decisions on everything from the linens, vase shapes, material palette — so much more than just which florals to select. Initially I was sort of ambivalent about the florals in my wedding I just knew what colors I wanted and that I wanted a modern, minimal feel to the whole wedding. Vague I know, but Marti knew exactly what I was envisioning and helped make that vision come to life. As we went through the process with together I continually got more and more excited about the day because I knew that she was going to help make everything amazing and exactly how I imagined it. The florals at my wedding were phenomenal. Seriously some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! I got so many compliments on them as well as the whole tablescape and decor in general, all of which Marti played a key role in helping me design and integrate on the day of. I provided a lot of the decor myself, such as table runners, table numbers, menus etc. and Marti was so accommodating and excited to help me integrate my ideas with her vision for then florals. We had a great working relationship that was fun! I was always excited to bounce ideas back and forth with her and see what we could come up with. I'm so glad that I hired Marti for our wedding, it was one of the best decisions I made. She is worth every penny and I highly recommend her and her services. I'm just sad I don't have anymore projects to work with her on....which means that I'll have to think up something soon!

I can't begin to express how happy I was with Marti...the flowers were perfect!! I'm an extremely picky person and lucky for me, Marti did everything in her power to make sure I got just what I wanted including using a new supplier for the first time. THANK YOU MARTI!!

Marti did an absolutely wonderful job on our wedding. Not only were the flowers gorgeous, but the embellishments really sealed the deal. She added little toughes that really brought out the vision of our wedding. We had a 30's theme. Even when we were just planning, Marti made some great suggestions that took my vision to the top. Also, the quality of flowers were excellent. They held up for quite some time after the wedding.

Marti and I began working together at the beginning of 2010 for my October wedding. I had zero knowledge in regards to the types of flowers that I wanted to use. I walked into her studio with a few clippings and big dreams. Marti spent endless hours with me perfecting my vision. She educated me on my options based on the flowers that would be available for me during that time of year. She stuck to my somewhat challenging color scheme and the end result was breath taking. I have received so many compliments on my flowers as well as all of the flowers for the reception and ceremony. On top of giving me the most outstanding arrangements I have EVER seen, Marti provided my guests with a yummy candy bar that was stocked full of my husband and my favorite treats. Needless to say, my beautiful candy bar was a hit and all of the candy was cleaned out by the end of the night! Marti helped make my wedding a visual dream and I am forever grateful! Not only is Marti a great listener with a great heart, she is ridiculously creative! I enjoyed working with her every step of the wedding planning. She was my right hand woman when it came to created my dream wedding, and she made that day magical!

My experience with Marti's Floral Designs was a 10 out of 10! From the moment I met with Marti, I knew I would be working with her. She instantly got the concept of what I was looking for and even offered great suggestions on enhancing the overall feel and look of the wedding. During the planning process, she was timely and responsive. On the day of our wedding, she was early, delivered and setup everything just as we had discussed and when I saw the reception, I was comletely overwhelmed at how beautiful it was. This was one of my best vendor experiences and even though we are not planning any weddings anytime soon, I plan on working with Marty on other events in the future!
