I can't rave enough about Marx Event Group! Chris was our MC and DJ for our wedding and did a fantastic job. The whole planning process was seamless and efficient with the planning portal and personal meeting prior to the wedding. On wedding day, Chris did a great job keeping the dance floor filled and his music was creative and not cookie cutter! He helped me create an awesome transition to the most epic father daughter dance which was a highlight! The Photo Booth was also awesome and I can't wait to look at all the digital photos we got to have after! Would definitely recommend Chris Marx for any event!

We used Marx Event Group for our wedding on November 4, 2023. They were so much fun to work with! From the first phone call, Chris made the working with them a breeze. He is also super quick to respond if you have any questions, which I really appreciated. In the months before the event, you have a very user friendly portal you can use to build your music for the night. On the day of, they are great at reading the room and choosing the right kind of music to keep people involved and dancing. They were so good that half of my guests didn't realize there was dessert because they were too busy dancing! I also loved their photobooth, which was a super fun touch! All of the weddings I have been to with Marx Event Group as DJ have been an absolute blast! I cannot recommend them enough!

DJ Chris was so much fun to work with! From the initial consultation phone call, to our actual wedding day, Chris took the time to get to know us, our music tastes, and what we envisioned for our wedding. You can really tell that he feels genuine happiness and excitement for the couples he works with, and wants to provide the best possible experience! His online portal website makes the planning process incredibly easy, as it can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Chris was there to provide suggestions and fun ideas as well. In my opinion, Chris has DJing down to a science. He knows exactly how to build up the music to create the most energetic and fun dance floor and get people excited, and he DEFINITELY knows how to read the crowd!! When he could see/hear our guests getting really into a song, he followed up with another hit. At the end of our wedding, we had multiple friends come up to us to tell us how much they loved the music playlist! I cannot recommend Chris enough for all musical/DJ needs!

I couldnt recommend Chris and Marx Event Group more. They were the best! The dance floor was packed the entire time and Chris was so fun to work with (we had inside jokes and everything!) the photo booth the team provided was amazing and the guests loved it. Chris was an incredible DJ and made our wedding more fun than I could have imagined! His planning website and process made everything so easy. We also used his company for a photo booth, which was a huge hit! I am so glad we hired him, I couldn’t recommend him more!

We couldn’t have made a better decision when it came to our DJ! Ron set up several meetings before our wedding to make sure we had all the songs we wanted and that we felt comfortable with him as our DJ. He was very friendly and put up with our constant first dance changes up until a few days before. Ron showed up a few hours before he was supposed to start to scope out the place and figure out the best placement for everything. Even with our micro wedding of 24 people, Ron was very professional and made sure we had the perfect day. He even surprised us with floor lights to light up our small dance area! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!

When I tell you that the dance floor was packed from the second people were done eating is understatement- 90% of people were up dancing! There was not one song that people sat down. He got my 5-year-old niece involved by having her "guest DJ". She still talking about the fact that she was the DJ for our wedding. He also provided the music for ceremony which was perfect. He was not the type of DJ that spends a majority of the time talking like some companies I have reviewed prior to hiring Chris. He spent the majority of the event getting people engaged, but not going overboard. Lets add that he coordinated my father daughter dance to involved the Eagles fight song. You don't wanna miss out on Chris- I would hire him 10x over.

CHRIS! I can’t say enough positive things about Chris. By far the Best DJ to have for our wedding and I have been to ALOT of weddings. Chris played our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Oof- the only part I cringe about my wedding day is when I think my selection of a DJ. I write this even after attempting to rectify what Marx event butchered. We only needed their services for the reception/ dances/ intros and the ball was dropped. Chris absolutely butchered our introduction as a couple- after telling him multiple times how to pronounce our married name he still said so incorrectly. Then stated “there are so many pronunciations it’s ridiculous” (cue the cringe of us and the guests at how awkward of an introduction). He offended the older generations of the family name and we had to apologize on his behalf to our family. The disorganization was clear from the start as Chris mentioned how overwhelmed he was with weddings and was in the files of another couples rather than our own during our meeting. We had to point this out to Chris as he kept claiming “no this is the info you sent me… you must have had too many beers during the eagles game ” (shocker it was just his disorganization- also what a strange thing to say to a paying client ….especially when you’re the one who is disorganized). Marx event was the only vendor we had the experience of feelings like a wedding couple lost in the shuffle of their other clients. In our meeting discussing our first dance Chris suggested my fiancé take the microphone and ask me for our first dance…. Which we agreed and prepared for… just to have chris forget… so my fiancé asked for the microphone as we had planned with Chris but he began our first song well before my fiancé could even ask me to dance and didn’t have the microphone and on so we danced our entire first dance with a microphone awkwardly in our hands. We now have had to explain the mishap and ask our photographers to hopefully be able to edit out a giant microphone from our first dance photos. (Again not what you envision for such an intimate moment) It’s sad when a vendor drops the ball on your vision and I wouldn’t wish that for another couple. So disappointed in the lack of quality of service for the despite the price we paid.

DJ Ron was awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ at my wedding. He followed the song requests I had asked for and would check in on my husband and I throughout the night to see how we felt the music was going. The photo booth was also a huge hit!

Chris Marx was our DJ at our wedding and we could not have asked for a better DJ! Chris was very helpful in the planning phase of our wedding - answering any and all questions, providing tips, and ensuring we felt comfortable with how the whole day would go from a sound/music perspective. The music on the day of was perfect. We were worried the sound would be too loud during dinner and he worked with us to make sure the sound level was exactly where we wanted it to be. And the party was awesome! Chris knows how to get people on the dance floor, was so fun and interactive, and even threw in the Eagles fight song after learning my husband and I have an Eagles/Cowboys rivalry. Chris was AWESOME. Truly the best DJ we could have asked for on our wedding day. He was extremely personable, and we clicked immediately. After the first phone consultation, I said to my fiancé, we need to book this guy - and I am so glad we did. He really listened to what we wanted (and didn't), our music style, and the vibe for our wedding. It was a party from the start - the dance floor was full the entire night and we had so many people tell us throughout the night and after how "amazing the DJ is." If you want your wedding to a non-stop party, do yourself a favor a book Marx Event Group to be your DJ! My husband and I had one main goal for our wedding… for everyone to be on the dance floor the entire night. Let me tell you… Chris Marx delivered! From the moment the dance floor opened to the very last song, our dance floor was full without a single person in their seat! He truly means it when he says that he is a master at reading crowds. Guests of all age groups were entertained, dancing, and singing along to his choices all night! Beyond being an excellent DJ, Chris was also a fantastic master of ceremonies. He was great at directing the flow of the evening, frequently checking in with us to ensure things were moving along as we hoped. He kept to our timeline perfectly and kept our guests entertained the whole night. We also used Marx Event Group’s photobooth and are so glad we did! We got some of the funniest pictures of our guests and everyone had a blast with all the props that Chris provided. I cannot recommend Marx Event Group enough! Hire him if you want to dance the night away and have a reception you’ll never forget!

CRUSHED IT!! We used the Marx Event Group for our photobooth and DJ and they exceeded all expectations! Chris was really easy to talk to and always quick to respond to any questions, making the whole process easy and stress free. During our main meeting, he made some great suggestions but still let us set the vibe and was willing to go along with whatever made us happy. We had DJ Ron at our wedding and the party never stopped. We received so many compliments on the music and was even told by a friend who has attended MANY weddings that we had the best dance floor at any wedding he has ever been to. Our guests also loved the photobooth and the attendant (other Chris). We got all the digital pictures that night on a USB drive. We also chose to do a last dance of the night and made a last minute song change that Ron had no problem accommodating. If you are thinking about the Marx Event Group, don't hesitate to book them!

After being to many a wedding prior to our own, we always said all we needed to make our day great was good food and good music, and Marx Event Group was everything we could have asked for in a DJ. We spoke to Chris a few times in the planning process, he understood our “vibe” right off the bat and made it clear he and his team were happy to make the day whatever we wanted. He was very responsive to questions and made himself available to us at any time. We were able to meet with Chris and Ron over Zoom prior to the wedding day to talk through the full timeline, which really helped put us at ease. On the wedding day, Ron crushed it. He made a last-minute suggestion to change up where we did our first dance and speeches – we loved it – and so many of our guests commented on how great it was (as though it had been planned all along). And he had our guests dancing and singing along the whole night. Everyone was on the dance floor. In the weeks after the wedding, people have specifically said how much they loved our DJ. Thank you to Ron and Chris for making the process so easy and for doing your job so well that we didn’t have to worry about a thing!

Chris Marx and Marx Event group MADE our wedding! Chris was the best DJ. He completely read the room and played a great mix that kept EVERYONE dancing all night. Seriously, the dance floor was packed all night! He took notes during the toasts and played music for my husband that was mentioned in the speeches (Bob Marley, the Eagles Fight Song). I cannot wait to have another event where I need to hire a DJ, I will for sure be contacting Marx Event Group.

Oh what a night! Jon was central to our daughter's fantastic wedding! He was so professional and calm as we tried to work with weather. His big smile and helpfulness throughout the whole event was a blessing to all the parents. If you want an event where most of the guest are on the dance floor, Jon is your DJ !

Everyone knows the key to the best party is the DJ and John from Marx event group did not disappoint! If you want your wedding to be an epic dance party, look no further! John was great, they worked professionally with my live singer, he rolled with the punches as we had to pull the wedding inside last minute and already had both ceremony spots set up. He did a great job at transitioning and mixing songs, and kept us on our feet singing along and dancing all night!!

Chris Marx was an absolute joy to work with! He was extremely attentive, caring, fun, and knew exactly what he was doing. Chris was able to create and hold the different moods we were trying to achieve throughout different parts of our wedding. His overall knowledge of his trade made it very easy to plan the soundtrack of our wedding. He is a preferred vendor of a lot of places in the area, and the second we booked with him we could tell why. Chris is so up to date on all the latest technology so when it came time to make payments and changes, they were immediate and seamless. We chose him for our reception early in the planning process, but about 3 weeks prior to our wedding day I needed to book music last minute for the ceremony, he was able to add that service on with no problem. During that same meeting he answered all my questions before I could even ask them! That night was seriously the best night of my life. He had to line everyone up for introductions, all 25 of us, it can be overwhelming to do that and he did it with no problem and stuck to the timeline. Some DJs I have seen in the past try to steal the show and Chris just made it all about my Husband and I. He played any requests that we had and had every single person up dancing the whole night! We are so happy we chose Chris, he had the best attitude and fit right in with our crowd! Finding a DJ for my wedding was one thing I knew I had to nail when it came to booking for my wedding as that is what’s going to set the tone for your day and I am SO glad we chose Chris. From the ceremony all the way to the last song of our reception he was absolutely perfect ! The music he played all night had everyone on the dance floor and he was even nice enough to include my daughters a little bit to help “DJ” . We had a barn wedding at The Farm Bakery on 7/20/19 during the record breaking heat wave and Chris kept everyone dancing despite the 100 degree weather. Chris Marx was amazing to work with! He was flexibly, responsive, and he really got people dancing at our wedding. He also saved the day at our wedding, when we lost power right before the ceremony, and he had a generator! When our reception finally arrived, we were so impressed by Chris’ ability to read the crowd. Once the cake was cut, the dance floor was packed for two straight hours. Everyone had a great time and complimented the DJ. We also used Chris’ photo booth and the attendant was so friendly and helpful. Our guests loved it and it was such a great value. Booking a photo booth through another company would have been much more expensive. Marx Event Group was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. If you’re looking for your wedding to be a great party, hire Chris. You will not regret it.

Chris was amazing to work with from start to finish. He answered all of my questions and was very proactive about getting paperwork to our venue. He was set up and in place with plenty of time to spare. He also provided our photobooth which was the highlight of the whole night. Our guests absolutely loved it and are still talking about how much fun they had and how much they loved the attendant (who was also named Chris). I have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend Chris to anyone in a heartbeat.

There are weddings, and then there are CHRIS MARX WEDDINGS. From the very beginning Chris was incredibly professional but also personable. He understood the stress of wedding planning and made the entire process incredibly smooth and simple. He listened to us and our requests and knew when to provide advice. Because of his expertise I knew we could rely on him with mics, schedules, lights, and sounds. Speaking of sounds, his entire system at the ceremony and reception was perfect. Chris as an MC was INCREDIBLE. The entire nights was about the bride and groom, and he knew it. He was able to get people up and moving in no time. That proved to be no trouble as he dropped beats all night. He flowed seamlessly through songs making it a huge dance party! He even sprinkled in some trollings with Christmas music as that was the groom's favorite. And to top it all of, without any requests, he allowed the best man to give a thrilling rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody and ended the night on the Eagles Fights Song (a staple for any true fan!). We’ve been to a lot of weddings, and we can say without a doubt that Chris is leaps and bounds ahead of them all. His professionalism, humor, timing, musical knowledge, and overall personality made him easy to work with. I would want to plan another wedding just to have him as a DJ again. Chris was so fun, energetic, and professional! He played the perfect range of music to get all of our guests up and dancing. He mashed up old songs with newer hits to get everyone on the floor and the crowd went crazy. I have never been at an event where a DJ successfully mashed up two songs like ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ and Soulja Boy— but Chris pulled it off flawlessly! His communication leading up to the ceremony was perfect and his website is very user friendly and took a lot of the stress off of us during the planning process. Book Chris today- he’s the best!

Chris is the absolute best! We were lucky enough to have attended the wedding of two of our favorite people and got to chat with him a bit before their wedding started. It felt like we were talking to and laughing with a longtime friend. Then, we got to experience how flawless and entertaining he is on the mic! When we finally booked our big day, the first call was to see if Chris was available. Lucky for us, he was! Leading up to the wedding he was amazing. He would regularly check in to see what special requests we had, what songs we were choosing for special moments, and even offered advice when we were having trouble deciding. His playlist was perfect, and he kept the party moving along beautifully. DEFINITELY HIRE HIM FOR YOUR EVENT!

Where to begin.....Chris is not only a phenomenal DJ, but he is an even better person. When choosing the perfect DJ, you want someone that will make your wedding memorable. Chris did that times 100! From the very beginning, Chris was extremely approachable and friendly. When finding someone to work with for a wedding, those are two qualities that are very important. From then on, Chris worked with my wife and I to ensure that our wedding would leave the guests talking. And it did! We keep hearing about how our guests had a blast! Chris provided our guests with an amazing time with his awesome judgement and playlist. Not to mention the Photo Booth!!! The Photo Booth was such a hit, that our guests were inquiring about it the next day. Chris is a go to is you want your party or wedding to be a hit.

Chris Marx is absolutely amazing! When looking for DJs, we saw Chris had all 5-star reviews, and after booking him for our wedding--we completely understand why! Weddings can be stressful to plan, especially entertaining 200 people for hours. Chris took the stress out of it all, from the planning stages to the actual reception. My husband and I have a wide variety of musical taste, ranging from country to pop to hip hop to rock. Chris was able to navigate his way through to keep everyone in the crowd entertained from beginning to end. I like the personal touches he added to the cocktail hour and reception. Chris also had a previous relationship with our venue, which made us feel at ease. He even had the Penn State fight song on his playlist, which he played to end the night--a perfect ending for this PSU alum!! He takes a few pictures to commemorate the night, which was such a nice touch to see in the days after our wedding! We love Chris and would recommend him time and time again!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding back in December, 2017! My wife and I live in Pittsburgh, but our wedding was in Philly so we had to plan everything with Chris over Skype. He did an awesome job communicating with us and making sure that every detail was accounted for. Very much a detail-oriented person which was great because the reception went exactly according to plan. He had our guests up and dancing the whole time and everyone loved him.

Chris DJed our September 2017 wedding. He made the whole process extremely easy. We also had a band so Chris coordinated with them, played the cocktail hour and during the band breaks.
