He played all our must have songs, and filled in the rest of the night with a variety of different music that got everyone dancing and enjoying the night. My grandfather wanted to have a dance with me which wasn't planned. I asked Chris if he could find something and throw it in somewhere and he did just that and it was a beautiful song and fit very well for a dance with a Grandfather. He is amazing at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone. If I ever have another event where I need a DJ, I am calling Chris!

He also wanted what we absolutely did not want played, which I appreciated :) He doubled checked all the songs and details with us, was so professional and kind throughout, and just crushed it day-of. It was awesome, and I can't recommend him enough. We also got a photo booth through the Marx Event Group, and the operator, also named Chris, was so fun! People LOVED the booth and all the props, and we got a hard drive with all the pictures to keep for ourselves at the end of the night. It was so fun to look through all those. Absolutely recommend Marx Event Group for all parties - our wedding was perfect in no small part because of them!

On the day of, they are great at reading the room and choosing the right kind of music to keep people involved and dancing. They were so good that half of my guests didn't realize there was dessert because they were too busy dancing! I also loved their photobooth, which was a super fun touch! All of the weddings I have been to with Marx Event Group as DJ have been an absolute blast! I cannot recommend them enough!

The life and passion he has for his job and the wedding industry in general is radiating. He was super flexible with us even when I said there may be a song change day of he was ready for it! Chris absolutely butchered our introduction as a couple- after telling him multiple times how to pronounce our married name he still said so incorrectly. Then stated “there are so many pronunciations it’s ridiculous” (cue the cringe of us and the guests at how awkward of an introduction). He offended the older generations of the family name and we had to apologize on his behalf to our family. The disorganization was clear from the start as Chris mentioned how overwhelmed he was with weddings and was in the files of another couples rather than our own during our meeting. We had to point this out to Chris as he kept claiming “no this is the info you sent me… you must have had too many beers during the eagles game ” (shocker it was just his disorganization- also what a strange thing to say to a paying client ….especially when you’re the one who is disorganized). Marx event was the only vendor we had the experience of feelings like a wedding couple lost in the shuffle of their other clients. In our meeting discussing our first dance Chris suggested my fiancé take the microphone and ask me for our first dance…. Which we agreed and prepared for… just to have chris forget… so my fiancé asked for the microphone as we had planned with Chris but he began our first song well before my fiancé could even ask me to dance and didn’t have the microphone and on so we danced our entire first dance with a microphone awkwardly in our hands. We now have had to explain the mishap and ask our photographers to hopefully be able to edit out a giant microphone from our first dance photos. (Again not what you envision for such an intimate moment) It’s sad when a vendor drops the ball on your vision and I wouldn’t wish that for another couple. So disappointed in the lack of quality of service for the despite the price we paid.

He truly means it when he says that he is a master at reading crowds. Guests of all age groups were entertained, dancing, and singing along to his choices all night! Beyond being an excellent DJ, Chris was also a fantastic master of ceremonies. He was great at directing the flow of the evening, frequently checking in with us to ensure things were moving along as we hoped. He kept to our timeline perfectly and kept our guests entertained the whole night. We also used Marx Event Group’s photobooth and are so glad we did! We got some of the funniest pictures of our guests and everyone had a blast with all the props that Chris provided. I cannot recommend Marx Event Group enough! Hire him if you want to dance the night away and have a reception you’ll never forget!

We had DJ Ron at our wedding and the party never stopped. Our guests also loved the photobooth and the attendant (other Chris). We got all the digital pictures that night on a USB drive. We also chose to do a last dance of the night and made a last minute song change that Ron had no problem accommodating. If you are thinking about the Marx Event Group, don't hesitate to book them!

He made a last-minute suggestion to change up where we did our first dance and speeches – we loved it – and so many of our guests commented on how great it was (as though it had been planned all along). And he had our guests dancing and singing along the whole night. Everyone was on the dance floor. In the weeks after the wedding, people have specifically said how much they loved our DJ. Thank you to Ron and Chris for making the process so easy and for doing your job so well that we didn’t have to worry about a thing!

lly thank Chris Marx for this! He is a preferred vendor of a lot of places in the area, and the second we booked with him we could tell why. Chris is so up to date on all the latest technology so when it came time to make payments and changes, they were immediate and seamless. We chose him for our reception early in the planning process, but about 3 weeks prior to our wedding day I needed to book music last minute for the ceremony, he was able to add that service on with no problem. During that same meeting he answered all my questions before I could even ask them! That night was seriously the best night of my life. He had to line everyone up for introductions, all 25 of us, it can be overwhelming to do that and he did it with no problem and stuck to the timeline. Some DJs I have seen in the past try to steal the show and Chris just made it all about my Husband and I. He played any requests that we had and had every single person up dancing the whole night! We are so happy we chose Chris, he had the best attitude and fit right in with our crowd!
