At no point before or during the wedding did we feel we were being nickeled and dimed and the staff felt like true partners in creating the menu we wanted for our wedding. Dave always took our wishes into account and advised us on any changes he would make based on his many years of experience. We wanted to cater a few dishes from our favorite Thai restaurant and he was able to accommodate the other vendor seamlessly. Dave said they pride themselves on never having lines at the bar and they delivered on that promise for our almost 200 person wedding. MD Country helped us truly bring our vision to life.

David was right – there was never a line at the bar. Fast forward a few years, we began planning for our own wedding – at first, I did not reach out to Maryland Country Caterers because I felt like our venue was “too far” for them to travel. With that in mind, we tried a few other catering companies, and my mind continuously wandered back to Dave, Jen, and team. Finally, after weeks of stressing, I reached out to Jen, gave her our date & location, and she responded back immediately with a “YES!” We were thrilled. After, we scheduled a phone call with Dave & chatted about the basics. In February of 2021, Phillip, my parents, and I traveled to their location in Owings, Maryland. There, Dave and his chef prepared a tasting for us, and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! After our tasting, Dave sat down with us, and we discussed business, which quite honestly, didn’t feel like business at all. Dave was open, honest, and his passion for his company was clear as day. My parents felt extremely comfortable with all that was discussed & ultimately, we left our tasting knowing that Maryland Country Caterers were the perfect fit for our wedding day. In August, Dave and Jen traveled almost 2 hours to view our venue. Jen helped me with all the logistical things – dishes, flatware, glasses, linens, table layouts, etc. I trusted all of her suggestions, and went with it! She was awesome. On our wedding day in October, every one was there prompty & dressed very professionally, every thing looked great, & the food was INCREDIBLE. From cocktail hour to dinner & dessert, everything was flawless. Our guests were able to enjoy stations & had plates filled with anything and everything they wanted! The bar flowed seamlessly & the service was great. Without Maryland Country Caterers our wedding wouldn’t have been the same. They took care of us & everything was PERFECT. We will always suggest them to anyone who asks & will use them for any future events! WE LOVE THEM! Thank you Dave, Jen, and team! Wedding Day… the talented staff, bar & drinks, appetizers (SO GOOD!), dinner selections/plates & settings, linens, dessert - all the organization & implementation was truly outstanding. These guys operate with ‘flawless’ as the goal! We loved working with them! And they have a great team of people they recommend (tents/flowers/etc), all of whom we adored as well. There are no words enough to give MCC, Dave (and Jen), and their team, our highest and best recommendation. Thank you for making this special day unforgettable for all of our family & friends!

We decided to go with a different venue, but knew we needed these guys to be our caterer and were thrilled when they still agreed to work with us. From day 1 we felt like we were the only clients they were working with. They never seemed too busy to chat or go over details. We live out of the area and they were always willing to accomodate our unique planning situation and ensure we weren't overlooked or missed anything. Not only were we provided with a delicious menu tasting event where we were able to sample a huge variety of menu items, they were even willing to make us additional choices of items to try which weren't served on our tasting day. They also took care of table centerpieces and odds/ends decorations as needed, which was a huge help! Jenn's eye for design and the warehouse of decorations we were able to look at was incredible. She even worked with me for item specific decoration ideas. We were able to drop off all our personal decorations with them 2 weeks before our wedding and they handled the setup and take down of all of it, making the end of the night clean-up painless. All of the staff were incredible, and we were surprised how many of our guests knew everyone's name at the end of the night. They helped to coordinate everything and everyone day of leaving us to just enjoy our day together and not have to worry about any details. They are truly a blessing in the wedding catering world and I would choose them again and again!

They come up with a timeline based on your wishes which is so convenient. They work with your other vendors to ensure you have the perfect day. The food and service is outstanding. From the bartenders to the servers, everyone was professional and helped to ensure everything ran smoothly. At the end of the night, MCC also helped with clean up. They not only cleaned up their items, but they also helped with bringing the centerpieces and other items inside, which was a huge help to my family. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer and would absolutely use them for future events! Thank you so much for everything!

Leading up to the event, I will say there was one occurrence where I was a bit concerned with the planning after I had to request the final invoice multiple times before receiving it, knowing we had a a deadline to pay. Then once I received the invoice, we had to have it corrected three times. The day of the wedding, everything went pretty well. The staff was so great, everything was setup perfectly and the food was over the top! People were going crazy about it at the wedding, unfortunately for me! The one item I really wanted to eat that night, the goat cheese pasta pockets, were so good, they were gone before I could even get any! While we were so happy with everything, overall, the bartender did run out of one of the mixes for our specialty drink before dinner even started, making us wonder if the drinks were being made properly or if enough mixer had been bought for the estimated number of drinks, considering there was still plenty of liquor. All in all, we definitely recommend MD Country Catering. They were so helpful throughout all of the planning process and the service and food were to die for!

hree food stations for dinner: made-to-order pasta, Maryland My Maryland (crab cakes!), and build-your-own tacos. Plus FRESH baked chocolate chip cookies and ice cream for dessert! Everything was delicious - just as good as it was during the tastings, if not better! We had two guests with food allergies and they were so accommodating - they even brought gluten free crab cakes for my friend. Our experience working them was wonderful. They were professional, kind, fun and they were really there to make it what we wanted it to be. We loved them, our guests loved the food, and our vendors loved working with them! Absolutely 110% recommend them.

Their menus are so full of selection, but Dave and Jen are always open to make adjustments to then menu to make your day filled with everything food wise that you need! They always responded to my millions of emails and text messages without delay and always made me feel like I was a member of their family and nothing less. Let me tell you, day of the wedding....they had EVERYTHING down pat! I literally had nothing to worry about with vendors who had already dropped off flowers or cake, or DJ. They had everything all settled and took control of a lot of mishaps! You seriously get so much from this business than just "food". You get family, you get laughs and so much support when you are planning such a big event! Please, if you can go with any caterer....GO WITH THEM!

in addition to standard catering and bartending roles. They were happy to answer our up front questions about menu selection, their process, and wedding day logistics. For us, there was not much we did after our initial contract signing 15 months out until about 5 months from our event, when we did our tasting and design selections (although they were happy to answer questions along the way and reassure me we were on track when I felt like it had been such a long time between steps). They do a group tasting for all the couples getting married around the same season, which allowed us to try a huge selection of food, and the chef took any notes we had to customize the food, even going back into the kitchen on the spot to bring out variations that he thought would suit our preferences. We were also able to walk through their design warehouse to pick out any decor we wanted to use or match in style, pick out table linens, etc. The food at our wedding was delicious. We chose plated entree selections, and guests raved about all three options (which we had trouble narrowing down in the tasting because everything was great!). Working with David was a true highlight for us- he went above and beyond to make sure we as the bride and groom felt comfortable with the plans and taken care of at the event itself, and was such a valuable resource in planning in making vendor recommendations (such as when we were planning our shuttle transportation), timeline guidance, and tips from his experience. We did have to make the call on our wedding day to hire additional staff to implement a rain plan - however, when it cleared up just in time for us to make a final call, the team was able to flip the room back and repeatedly dry chairs outside to give us the outdoor ceremony we were hoping for. We were so thrilled with our wedding day and MCC played a big role in that.

that Chef took what we like to eat and made something that fit our budget and vision. Also Jen did a wonderful job decorating day of the wedding. We were impressed by how much she understood the space and made it have a personal flair. Our only advice would be to make sure the MCC and the wedding coordinator have the same rain/weather plan timeline. We ended up having to move our ceremony inside due to rain which then tweaked our timeline. MCC did a lovely job of going with the flow, but to avoid stress, we would recommend making a plan.
