We chose Maryland Country Caterers for our daughter's wedding, at Running Hare Vineyard ,and it was the best choice EVER! Dave and Jen were there for us in person, with phone calls...
and with texts every step of the way . We didn't need a wedding planner because Dave and Jen had us covered ! Trust their advice and you will be astounded at how easy the wedding can be executed. Their guidance was invaluable through out the entire planning process. They provided us with a fantastic and fun menu tasting, a detailed schedule of the entire day of the wedding, help with placement of tables and band, wonderful staff and a coordinator during the wedding event.
Everyone raved about the DELICIOUS food and how seamless the event proceeded. I planned to be at the venue early to help organize the set -up of the room but ended up arriving with the first of the guests. Jen had me covered!! She had the entire room decorated just as we had discussed and I didn't have to do a thing. Whew...anxiety gone! Our outdoor ceremony was switched to "Plan B" because of rain and the entire process went smoothly because of Jen's knowledge and organized set up. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND M.C.C. for any event you are planning! My husband and I (the Brides parents) and the Bride and Groom are extremely happy with the entire wedding and how comfortable we felt working with Dave and Jen.
Dave and his staff were the true stars of this service. They accommodated non traditional wedding food (Thai and Tex-Mex) and everyone (including some of the pickier eaters in the ...
family) commented on how good the food was. Although food is the most important aspect in assessing a catering service, the human element of Maryland Country Caterers was also world class. At no point before or during the wedding did we feel we were being nickeled and dimed and the staff felt like true partners in creating the menu we wanted for our wedding. Dave always took our wishes into account and advised us on any changes he would make based on his many years of experience. We wanted to cater a few dishes from our favorite Thai restaurant and he was able to accommodate the other vendor seamlessly. Dave said they pride themselves on never having lines at the bar and they delivered on that promise for our almost 200 person wedding. MD Country helped us truly bring our vision to life.
5 stars hands down!
David is experienced, patient, diligent, timely, and very detail driven! He is compassionate and he truly cares about his couples. This company isn’t in it fo...
r the money, they definitely show you its much more value in pleasing the client and giving great food and even better service. Our wedding was at the Running Hare Vineyard and when I tell you this company was a coordinator on top of caterer company I am telling you the truth. David assigned special helpers specifically to serve the bride and groom all night and boy was it top of the notch! I am so impressed with the way he and the team
Delivered and to this day, the family keep telling us how great the food was and how awesome the ambiance was with the service! Book Maryland Country Caterer if you are look for top of the line.
Our wedding reception was rescheduled from 2020 to 2022 and David and Jennifer from Maryland Country Caterers were invaluable in making the party a success. Jennifer kept us on tra...
ck throughout the planning, with two reschedules. David is SO knowledgeable about his line of business. He listened well to our requests and offered us amazing advice. When we needed it he guided us toward the best decision for us with the wisdom he has gained throughout his career. During the event, the bartenders were fast, accommodating, and polite. David was right – there was never a line at the bar. Melissa was the catering manager on the day of our party and not only was she incredibly sweet, she was very professional, organized, helpful, and respectful. I received so many compliments on the food and am so pleased to pass them on to MCC.
Dave, Jen, and team,
Phillip & I will never have enough words to express our appreciation for each and every one of you. First and foremost, Dave & Jen are simply just WONDERFUL pe...
ople…aside from their business…they are great people to be around. They are caring, fun, kind, and so much more. Long story short, my husband & I attended a wedding in which Maryland Country Caterers catered…needless to say, we were overly impressed. Fast forward a few years, we began planning for our own wedding – at first, I did not reach out to Maryland Country Caterers because I felt like our venue was “too far” for them to travel. With that in mind, we tried a few other catering companies, and my mind continuously wandered back to Dave, Jen, and team. Finally, after weeks of stressing, I reached out to Jen, gave her our date & location, and she responded back immediately with a “YES!” We were thrilled. After, we scheduled a phone call with Dave & chatted about the basics. In February of 2021, Phillip, my parents, and I traveled to their location in Owings, Maryland. There, Dave and his chef prepared a tasting for us, and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! After our tasting, Dave sat down with us, and we discussed business, which quite honestly, didn’t feel like business at all. Dave was open, honest, and his passion for his company was clear as day. My parents felt extremely comfortable with all that was discussed & ultimately, we left our tasting knowing that Maryland Country Caterers were the perfect fit for our wedding day. In August, Dave and Jen traveled almost 2 hours to view our venue. Jen helped me with all the logistical things – dishes, flatware, glasses, linens, table layouts, etc. I trusted all of her suggestions, and went with it! She was awesome. On our wedding day in October, every one was there prompty & dressed very professionally, every thing looked great, & the food was INCREDIBLE. From cocktail hour to dinner & dessert, everything was flawless. Our guests were able to enjoy stations & had plates filled with anything and everything they wanted! The bar flowed seamlessly & the service was great. Without Maryland Country Caterers our wedding wouldn’t have been the same. They took care of us & everything was PERFECT. We will always suggest them to anyone who asks & will use them for any future events! WE LOVE THEM! Thank you Dave, Jen, and team! Enjoy your holidays! -Melissa, Phillip August, & The Dierdorff family!

ll. He leads you through every step of the way, calms nervous brides, grooms and moms and controls the smallest details and schedule. He runs the show. His assistant Jenn will help you decide on colors and designs. The staff is there for all your needs , yet, stay out of the way. You can’t go wrong here. And the flaming donuts are a big hit!
Maryland Country Caterers is AMAZING! From the moment we hired them, they were available anytime to discuss various covid-related or bride related changes, and offer professional,...
kind, and patient assistance for any and all details related to our daughter’s outdoor July 4th wedding. The tasting was generous, friendly, delicious and informative. Chef made lots of specific (gluten free) wishes come to life! Wedding Day… the talented staff, bar & drinks, appetizers (SO GOOD!), dinner selections/plates & settings, linens, dessert - all the organization & implementation was truly outstanding. These guys operate with ‘flawless’ as the goal! We loved working with them! And they have a great team of people they recommend (tents/flowers/etc), all of whom we adored as well. There are no words enough to give MCC, Dave (and Jen), and their team, our highest and best recommendation. Thank you for making this special day unforgettable for all of our family & friends!

rk, believe me I had MANY). The food from our wedding was the talk of the town. Every single person commented on how good the food was and how seamlessly everthing went. Thanks so much to Dave, Jen and Kayla! You guys are the best.
I just want to say I am so glad that we used MCC for our wedding. Dave and Jenn were great when planning and helping us plan during the phases of the pandemic. Dave especially was ...
a HUGE help when it came to answering questions, coordinating the day-of timelines and giving tips and tricks for wrangling guests. The team who worked our wedding was so thoughtful and caring, and went above and beyond to take care of myself, my (now) husband and our guests. Now for the food. The food was delicious and everyone complimented us on the selection and how delicious it was! I will 100% recommend MCC to all of my friends who are looking for a caterer. Thanks again MCC team!

Let me just start by saying that I planned and had my wedding in the middle of this crazy time with a global pandemic going on. For many people, the added stress of having to take ...
all of the extra safety precautions into consideration would have been enough to send them over the edge. But, because of all of the help from Dave and Jenn, I didn't even feel stressed. They are absolutely incredible to work with, always available for any communication, and just plain make you feel supported and taken care of. They made sure that all of the details were in place and I didn't have to worry about a thing. And, to put in simply, the food is simply outstanding. I would recommend Maryland Country Caterers for everything, big or small, because they make you feel like you are part of the family and made my wedding day special.
Working with MCC was such a breeze! From the service to the food, MCC was hand down amazing!

ke with Dave while doing a venue tour and were immediately impressed with all that Maryland Country Catering had to offer. We decided to go with a different venue, but knew we needed these guys to be our caterer and were thrilled when they still agreed to work with us. From day 1 we felt like we were the only clients they were working with. They never seemed too busy to chat or go over details. We live out of the area and they were always willing to accomodate our unique planning situation and ensure we weren't overlooked or missed anything. Not only were we provided with a delicious menu tasting event where we were able to sample a huge variety of menu items, they were even willing to make us additional choices of items to try which weren't served on our tasting day. They also took care of table centerpieces and odds/ends decorations as needed, which was a huge help! Jenn's eye for design and the warehouse of decorations we were able to look at was incredible. She even worked with me for item specific decoration ideas. We were able to drop off all our personal decorations with them 2 weeks before our wedding and they handled the setup and take down of all of it, making the end of the night clean-up painless. All of the staff were incredible, and we were surprised how many of our guests knew everyone's name at the end of the night. They helped to coordinate everything and everyone day of leaving us to just enjoy our day together and not have to worry about any details. They are truly a blessing in the wedding catering world and I would choose them again and again!

ntact with us and were extremely helpful with any questions we had throughout the process. If you are thinking about hiring a wedding coordinator, you won’t need to with MCC as your caterers. They come up with a timeline based on your wishes which is so convenient. They work with your other vendors to ensure you have the perfect day. The food and service is outstanding. They have plenty of choices and will be sure to satisfy any specific requests you may have. I am so glad that we chose MCC to cater our wedding, the outcome couldn’t have been any better!
I can't recommend MCC enough! We've gotten so many compliments on the food (especially the crab cakes! ), and we couldn't agree more that the food was absolutely amazing! Dave was ...
also so easy to work with. He was very organized and answered every question I had. He worked with us to make sure our menu was what we wanted, but also within our price range. On the day of the wedding, the service was also wonderful. From the bartenders to the servers, everyone was professional and helped to ensure everything ran smoothly. At the end of the night, MCC also helped with clean up. They not only cleaned up their items, but they also helped with bringing the centerpieces and other items inside, which was a huge help to my family. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer and would absolutely use them for future events! Thank you so much for everything!
We used Maryland Country Caterers for our daughter’s wedding in Leesburg, Virginia. They were very helpful from the beginning of the planning process until the end of the wedding....
They gave us time to sample foods, sat with the soon to be bride and groom to discuss their options and menu planning. They met with other vendors we contracted for the wedding, to ensure accurate coordination during the wedding. Most of all the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone I spoke with loved it!! Jen was our staff person in charge. She made sure all our guests were well cared for. Asked us several times if everything was ok. Dave, Jen and staff were extremely professional and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Our trust and confidence was in the all the way and they never let us down. Great job!!!
BEST FOOD EVER.

astings at scheduled times where you are able to try lots of different appetizers, mains, sauces, and even some drinks. It really helped trying to conceptualize our menu. We got lots of compliments on the food.
David and Jen were such a joy to work with. We had so much fun planning our menu and even more fun attending the food tasting! The staff was so sweet and the food was incredible!! ...
This was my now husband's favorite part of the entire planning period, naturally! Haha!
Leading up to the event, I will say there was one occurrence where I was a bit concerned with the planning after I had to request the final invoice multiple times before receiving it, knowing we had a a deadline to pay. Then once I received the invoice, we had to have it corrected three times.
The day of the wedding, everything went pretty well. The staff was so great, everything was setup perfectly and the food was over the top! People were going crazy about it at the wedding, unfortunately for me! The one item I really wanted to eat that night, the goat cheese pasta pockets, were so good, they were gone before I could even get any!
While we were so happy with everything, overall, the bartender did run out of one of the mixes for our specialty drink before dinner even started, making us wonder if the drinks were being made properly or if enough mixer had been bought for the estimated number of drinks, considering there was still plenty of liquor.
All in all, we definitely recommend MD Country Catering. They were so helpful throughout all of the planning process and the service and food were to die for!
I cannot say enough good things! They catered our wedding in Somerset, VA last month and they were wonderful. For cocktail hour, there were cranberry meatballs, fruits and cheeses,...
delicious flat breads, crap dip and plenty to drink. We chose three food stations for dinner: made-to-order pasta, Maryland My Maryland (crab cakes!), and build-your-own tacos. Plus FRESH baked chocolate chip cookies and ice cream for dessert! Everything was delicious - just as good as it was during the tastings, if not better! We had two guests with food allergies and they were so accommodating - they even brought gluten free crab cakes for my friend. Our experience working them was wonderful. They were professional, kind, fun and they were really there to make it what we wanted it to be. We loved them, our guests loved the food, and our vendors loved working with them! Absolutely 110% recommend them.

AVED about the quality of food MCC provided. Many saying it was hands down the best food they have had at any wedding ever! YAY!
Their menus are so full of selection, but Dave and Jen are always open to make adjustments to then menu to make your day filled with everything food wise that you need! They always responded to my millions of emails and text messages without delay and always made me feel like I was a member of their family and nothing less.
Let me tell you, day of the wedding....they had EVERYTHING down pat! I literally had nothing to worry about with vendors who had already dropped off flowers or cake, or DJ. They had everything all settled and took control of a lot of mishaps!
You seriously get so much from this business than just "food". You get family, you get laughs and so much support when you are planning such a big event! Please, if you can go with any caterer....GO WITH THEM!
Maryland Country Caterers was absolutely wonderful! They made sure that our day went smoothly and the vision we had discussed was carried out. They made everything easy, beautiful,...

took care of EVERYTHING, I was completely stress free on my wedding day and they are the reason. Not to mention the food was completely amazing. They are willing to work with you on creating specific menus and working within budgets. We were getting compliments all night on how incredibly friendly and professional their staff was and how smooth the night went - because of them. You will love working with this company

re involved in the setup, decor, and coordination of our wedding in addition to standard catering and bartending roles. They were happy to answer our up front questions about menu selection, their process, and wedding day logistics. For us, there was not much we did after our initial contract signing 15 months out until about 5 months from our event, when we did our tasting and design selections (although they were happy to answer questions along the way and reassure me we were on track when I felt like it had been such a long time between steps).
They do a group tasting for all the couples getting married around the same season, which allowed us to try a huge selection of food, and the chef took any notes we had to customize the food, even going back into the kitchen on the spot to bring out variations that he thought would suit our preferences. We were also able to walk through their design warehouse to pick out any decor we wanted to use or match in style, pick out table linens, etc.
The food at our wedding was delicious. We chose plated entree selections, and guests raved about all three options (which we had trouble narrowing down in the tasting because everything was great!).
Working with David was a true highlight for us- he went above and beyond to make sure we as the bride and groom felt comfortable with the plans and taken care of at the event itself, and was such a valuable resource in planning in making vendor recommendations (such as when we were planning our shuttle transportation), timeline guidance, and tips from his experience.
We did have to make the call on our wedding day to hire additional staff to implement a rain plan - however, when it cleared up just in time for us to make a final call, the team was able to flip the room back and repeatedly dry chairs outside to give us the outdoor ceremony we were hoping for. We were so thrilled with our wedding day and MCC played a big role in that.
MCC exceeded my expectations. Jen, David, and Nick (Chef), really listened to our desires and made them happen! We keep getting compliments on how the chicken was some of the best ...
wedding food people have ever had. We also love to cook and felt that Chef took what we like to eat and made something that fit our budget and vision.
Also Jen did a wonderful job decorating day of the wedding. We were impressed by how much she understood the space and made it have a personal flair.
Our only advice would be to make sure the MCC and the wedding coordinator have the same rain/weather plan timeline. We ended up having to move our ceremony inside due to rain which then tweaked our timeline. MCC did a lovely job of going with the flow, but to avoid stress, we would recommend making a plan.
David Benson and the rest of his team really made our wedding day very special. We had to book them per the guidelines of our venue (Running Hare Vineyard) but that made things ver...
y easy for us. They were worth every penny and really made our wedding spectacular. Our food was absolutely delicious and our bar provided magnificent drink choices. They also ensured that everything went smoothly and coordinated everything the day of the wedding. I recommend Maryland Country Caterers for anyone for their special day.

om and make sure you eat and drink. "Uncle Dave" is a funny, easy going guy who is always on the level with you. I never felt like they were squeezing us for extra money. We fell in LOVE with their artisan display which is very Italian and made sense for our wedding (and we're Italian). My husband, my family and my guests were all very impressed with their service and I would definitely go with them again if I needed anything else. They baked us a top tier of a cake and even got me chocolate cake instead of the standard vanilla at my request (thanks, Dave!) Their dessert bar was a huge hit at our wedding, a lot of my guests thought it was great. They sent us home with to-go meals and it was really nice having something to munch on after not eating a whole lot for the week leading up to the wedding! Their staff is very nice and friendly, I really enjoyed our wedding a lot and much of it was thanks to them!

ds on the menu I wasn't able to try at the tasting and they went out of their way to give me another opportunity to try them. My mom has a food allergy and MCC was very accommodating. Besides the food, they were very detailed-oriented; I left them with many, many decorations and everything was executed exactly as I had imagined. Not having a day of coordinator, they also had a huge role in making sure everything ran smoothly, especially the timeline. Thanks again for everything!

care of. They literally took care of everything, and allowed me to save some money by not hiring a wedding planner. They made sure the place looked fabulous, providing all the dinnerware and linens, and setting up all the decorations I brought them a couple weeks before my wedding. They made sure my day ran smoothly, providing me and my groom with our own private day of hostess. And lets not forget the food. The food was soo delicious. Even though our buffet may have been considered a bit out of the box (it was brunch items), our friends raved about the french toast casserole, the wild alaskan salmon and the eggs scrambled with goat cheese. But everything was delicious, and I do not know what I would have done without them!

main contact and she helped me plan exactly what I wanted. She shared ideas and suggestions which were all Fabulous! 2 weeks before the wedding I spoke with Dave who asked what my biggest concerns were. He assured me that everything would work out fine (which it did). The Day of the wedding arrived and everything looked amazing! I had 3 different food stations for my wedding. All the food was delicious. Many of my guests commented during and for weeks after. The stations (pasta, salad/ sandwiches, Beef Station) flowed perfectly and never had long lines. Not that I had to get my own food MCC served both my husband and I. In fact all night long the servers and staff served us. Before I even thought about what i needed they had it there. I decided to do a candy table which I am so happy I did because it was beautiful!
When I got engaged and began the wedding planning process someone told me there are 3 things guest remember the music, bar (oh we also did a specialty drink that was huge hit) and the food. MCC took care of the bar and food which to me couldn’t possibly have been any better. My husband, I, family and guest will never forget the amazing job these caterers did. I highly recommend going with MCC because I promise you they won’t disappoint!
