My daughter was supposed to get married at Mary’s Falls Cottage overlooking the park in 1 week. Having some last minute questions, we reached out to the new owner who took over in ...
2019. He didn’t respond so we went there, and there is a note on the door that they are closed. He will not answer his phone or return text messages.
Everyone tells me that it was the best wedding ever. They say that it was beautiful, elegant, and joyous. Though I paid for it, I can take no credit for the above praise.

's is a beautiful venue and location for a wedding. It is actually part of Falls Park. Our wedding ceremony was held completely outside on the stone terrace, and the candlelight dinner was at round tables set in the garden under trees strung with lights. We returned to the terrace for a dance party celebration.
Mary's is an elegant venue. Mary's takes the beautiful setting and adds a lot of class. Everything was first class all the way from the dinnerware to the staff. I'm surprised that we got such elegance for the price.
Throughout the wedding celebration, I saw nothing but smiles. That includes the staff. The whole thing was "perfect Daddy" according to the bride. If you want the most important day in your life to be joyous, Mary's will ensure that it is.
Now here's the truth. Our wedding coordinator, Jessica, is a true professional. She guided us through the whole planning process and handled all coordination of vendors/rentals from the DJ to the Limo. Two days before the wedding we had to make a significant change to the wedding. Jessica redid the schedule and re-coordinated the vendors in two hours. Even though a rain shower soaked every thing from tablecloths to the welcome sign 15 minutes before the ceremony, you would have never known it 10 minutes later. There were plenty of reasons why things could have gone wrong, but Mary's staff put out those fires.
During the reception Jessica continuously checked on each person in the wedding party to ensure that their needs were met. She loves what she does and loves people too. She really went above and beyond to see that this wedding was "perfect Daddy".
Our wedding and reception at Mary’s was everything we could have hoped it could be and more! The venue is beautiful, especially in April with the flowers in bloom. Our guests were ...
enamored with the coziness of Mary’s as well. Of course, the food was fantastic. And really what made our day so great was Jessica, the wedding coordinator. She is on her game! She made sure that everything went as planned. Even our guests commented on what a great job she was doing! From running the event to making sure the groom and I had a drink in our hand throughout the reception, she really went above and beyond. I could not recommend Mary’s at Falls Cottage and Jessica more!
We had our wedding at this location and while it was beautiful and the food was amazing, jessica made it all possible. I am a planner and super detail oriented, and usually end up ...
worrying about everything but my wedding day was the most stress free day ever. I know she had everything under control, she had an itinerary for everything and the entire day flowed flawlessly.
She ended up being my best investment and I hope you choose Mary's for the best scenery, the best food, and for Jessica's impeccable coordination .
My husband and I celebrated our rehearsal dinner at Mary's at Falls Cottage. I can't begin to tell you how pleased we are with this venue and staff. Jessica Wood went above and be...
yond for us. She handled every detail from flowers and dinner to bartending. The venue is absolutely beautiful and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I wouldn't definitely use this venue again! Thank you Jessica for a wonderful evening.
Our wedding day was exactly what we envisioned from the very beginning until the end. Jessica Wood was great to work with. With her enthusiasm and excitement, she strives to ma...
ke each wedding personal. We hired a day-of coordinator to assist along with the Mary's staff during the event. Our coordinator and Jessica worked beautifully together and made everything seamless. They were a great team and made sure everything was taken care of so I did not have to worry about details during the event. It was beautiful, and we could not have had better weather. Mary's is also a great place to showcase Greenville and Falls Park to people coming from out of town. We had 50 guests and it was the perfect size for the venue, in our opinion. You couldn't ask for a more lovely garden setting! We loved Mary's and Jessica. Thank you!!
Jessica and the entire staff were beyond wonderful! She worked so hard from beginning to end to make sure we had the most amazing experience possible! She never forgot about our gu...
ests, while still ensuring that my husband and I had a wonderful night, too. She even saved my dress! I can't say enough incredible things about our experience.
I can not say enough for this beautiful venue. We had our ceremony at the church and then the reception at mary's after so that we would have more time with our guests and to bet...
ter enjoy the grounds. Jessica, the wedding coordinator was very accommodating and could make great suggestions when I realized how much I hadn't though of. I delivered all the decorations prior to the wedding and she set them up better than I could have imagined. The guests raved about the food and site. When at last minute a small rainy mist came unexpectedly, accommodations were made immediately and seamlessly. (My mom still raves about Jessica and her hospitality 7 months later!) Luckily the rain only lasted 5 minutes and the weather cleared, but I was really impressed that this didnt cause me any stress. This is the perfect site for an intimate wedding to enjoy the beauty of Greenville and falls park!
Getting married at Falls Cottage has been a dream of mine for several years. It's intimate with beautiful landscaping and overlooks Falls Park. Our wedding was perfect and much of ...
that was thanks to Mary. She was so kind and supportive and she knew what she was doing! Everything ran so smoothly, my husband and I literally did not have to worry about a thing. She was such a pleasure to work with, as well as all of her staff! When we told her about our 90 year old great-grandparents and how special they were to us, she made a point to serve them food herself and escort them around the property. She even walked them to their car and sent them off at the end of the night! I cannot thank her enough for the kindness and generosity she showed us that day.
This venue is small and can only accommodate 100 people, but with the location, and the fact that they do their own catering, it ended up being very cost effective. I have gotten so many compliments over the last few weeks from our wedding guests, raving about how much they enjoyed the food. Mary's catering really does make amazing food and your guests will not be disappointed.
Our biggest concern was the traffic and noise from main street. And looking back, I don't remember hearing any of it. In fact we went back and watch our ceremony footage and during the ceremony there was an ambulance siren in the background. It went on for 5 mins, but neither of us, or the family ever remember hearing it during the actual event. The atmosphere was so romantic and beautiful, and the moment so intimate, that the rest of the world just fell away.
If you're looking for a beautiful wedding location that is on the smaller side, definitely check out Falls Cottage. It was one of the best decisions we made!
Mary's provided an experienced staff that met our every need. The venue is beautiful in an ideal garden/park setting. The food was excellent, everyone raved about the quality and...
presentation. It rained on my wedding day, but Mary's provided flexibility and compassion in a difficult time. They offer many options for all budgets. And no matter your budget Candy makes your needs her focus.
I originally worked with the owner and she was wonderful!!! She was so helpful and got back with me quickly!!! However the week before the wedding she switched me over to their w...
edding coordinator and she was not so good. We would set up phone appointments and she would call me 20 to 30 mins late, she LEFT right after the ceremony and was not there for the reception. I met her once briefly as she fluffed my dress and sent me down the isle. The wedding coordinator left much to be desired. The location was gorgeous and the other staff were amazing!!!!
the venue was beautiful and the food was awesome!
Mary's at Falls Cottage is a beautiful venue. The food was delicious and the staff were all so courteous.
Candy at Marys was amazing. She helped make our wedding spectacular. We had the BBQ menu and the food was amazing. People are still talking about what a great night it was.
The food was absolutely amazing. My guest kept telling me how great it was. They prepare to-go boxes for myself and my new husband so we could enjoy it again later!
A picture perfect setting for a spring wedding. you could have no decorations, and the garden will speak for itself. Candy is very patient and helpful in answering any question you...
may have. They have the basics ready for you so there is nothing you need to seek out for rental. Great references for flowers (Desiree), DJ, Great food, etc. Indoor and outdoor seating, providing shelter and options to relax and enjoy. My only complaint would be to provide the bride a FAQ to answer questions that could become frequent during the planning.
