Mary was incredibly personal and made beautiful arrangements for us! Even with the virus taking away all of our guests and venue, we were able to still add a floral touch to our wedding space/attic. Mary's Special Touch Floral was the perfect choice for my daughter's wedding which took place a few weeks ago at Starved Rock Lodge. After my daughter presented Mary with a few ideas Mary immediately went into her creativity mode including and expanding on everything my daughter hoped for. The final result was stunning. Several of our guests commented on the stunning center pieces, hearth décor, and floral for the wedding party. We could not be happier with Mary's work. Mary was easy to work with from beginning to end. She listened to everything I had in mind and did a great job expanding on my ideas. The flowers for the bouquets were beautiful and almost an entire week later and they still look very pretty on my kitchen table! I highly recommend Mary, she will not let you down!! I first met Mary, over the phone because I was living in Texas and planning a wedding at Starved Rock State Park. She asked me what I wanted, what I visioned and assured me that she could make it happen. Which was a huge relief! She was so sweet, professional and confident. When I was in town we scheduled to meet with her. She was so helpful, again listened and finalized what I wanted, what my mom wanted and when there were holes in our plans for flowers and decorations she help fill them with very beautiful suggestions and tips! On our big day, she arrived with plenty of time to make everything perfect. The center pieces, bouquets, and floral decorations were sooo beautiful, she truly added a special touch.

What can I say....Mary was the best!!! My favorite flowers are peonies and that is what I wanted for my bridal bouquets. After talking to multiple other flower vendors - I was told peonies would not be available for my early June wedding ...until I met Mary at a bridal expo. She was literally the best! She took my flower ideas and went above and beyond to make the most beautiful peony bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids. She also came up with the most simple and elegant centerpieces for my reception. I am still getting compliments on both my flowers and centerpieces even though my wedding was almost 3 months ago. Choose Mary! The Bride was in Omaha, I'm in Illinois. The Bride's vision plus my vision plus Mary's guidance equaled perfection. She knows her flowers! Give her a color and she will offer suggestions in a variety of blooms and budgets. It's 3 weeks after the wedding and I still have orchids that are fresh. She even gave ideas on how to display the flowers in my home after the reception, and how to dry and display some of them. I LOVE MARY AND HER STAFF!

Not only did I love my flowers, but my mother and I LOVED working with Mary. She's so personable and listens to what you want, but she'sb also honest and has a wealth of experience, so even if you're not sure what you want you can trust her to take an idea and run with it. Mary was great to work with, she had so many amazing ideas and was always open to receiving flower ideas. The flowers she choose for our wedding were absolutely beautiful and fit our rustic theme perfectly. They were also long lasting which was great for those who took the centerpieces home with them. My mom and I did all our flowers ourselves. The bridesmaids bouquets and our centerpieces. My sister's mother-in-law did our boutiners. But I had won a gift certificate for Mary's at a bridal expo so I decided to have her to my bouquet and my husband bout. I did silk flowers for everything. Mary did a wonderful job, my color was a lavender and she mixed different shades of purple in my bouquet with some whites. It was beautiful!! I loved it and so did everyone else. That's all I had her do for me, but if she amazed me with just one thing then I know everything else she does is amazing. She was very nice and worked with me for what I needed. I loved working with her.

I can not rave enough about Mary, her customer service and most importantly her product! One thing to note, she is honest. For example, I had an end of August wedding and the floral I originally wanted is not in season for this time of year. She said she could do it but showed me pictures of flowers that were in season (saving us a TON of money). The final product was absolutely breathtaking. I could have never imagined our floral being as beautiful as it was. It is very apparent that Mary loves what she does and it was such a pleasure working with her!

The day of the reception site looked wonderful but unfortunately the same could not be said for my wedding party flowers :( It was devastating as those are what show up most in pictures and coming down the isle. The flowers were in poor condition. Many attempts were made after the wedding to relay my disatisfaction but, all failed as I received emails criticizing my color choices/vision and no answers/apology offered. Not an experience I would expect from a professional.

I went with Mary's Special Touch because she had worked with most of my other vendors before. Planning a wedding from overseas made choosing people a bit difficult. She had good ideas and the execution was nice. I did have personal issues with her making remarks to my planner. We really needed a planner living abroad and were so thankful to have her but Mary didn't seem to understand this. She made it clear she didn't approve and sometimes I dreaded talking to her. Others may not have similar issues. But she did do great work!
