Hailing from both sides of the Massachusetts-Connecticut border, Mass-Conn-Fusion is a seven-piece wedding band based in Hartford, CT. Their infectious melodies and on-stage presence are sure to get the party started.
Since the 1980s, this band has provided musical entertainment that gets crowds having fun. The band features vibrant vocalists, a horn section with a saxophone and trumpet, and a funky rhythm section comprised of guitar, bass, and drums.
Mass-Conn-Fusion manages to combine exciting sound with soulful performances. They wear many musical hats, meaning that they can harken back to Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, as easily as they can play Maroon 5. R&B, funk, pop, disco, and Motown are among the many genres they can play. They, of course, can play at your ceremony and reception, as well as the rehearsal dinner the night before, but offer an additional service. Jim Healy
Owner
Jim started the band in 1980 at the University of Connecticut Music Department. It was first called Conn-Fusion. After playing extensively on Cape Cod and adding musicians from Massachusetts, Jim changed the name to Mass-Conn-Fusion. The band has been playing throughout New England ever since.

Wow, wow, wow!! MassConn Fusion is the absolute BEST!! Jim and the band rocked the dance floor all night long. Jim maintained consistent communication with us as the wedding approached, even learning 3 songs for our reception. They were the highlight of our cocktail hour and reception, truly!! We are so lucky to have found them. Check out MassConn Fusion at one of their local events. You’re going to LOVE them !

Our firm hired the Mass-Conn Fusion Duo for our corporate cocktail event. Liz played the saxophone acoustically and Jim played the bass with a small amp. The venue had great acoustics, so it worked very well. It was perfect for the event giving that live music feel without overpowering the event. Musically they are very talented and have a wide range of songs they can play. Jim was responsive and easy to communicate with to work out all the details.

Mass-Conn-Fusion did a killer job at our wedding. We saw them 3 other times and they never disappoint. They get everyone up and dancing. Our guests were really impressed. They even let us perform with them! (we're musicians)
For their level of expertise, their price can't be beat.

Mass-Conn-Fusion made our wedding a night to remember! 9 months later and our friends and family are still talking about how great our wedding band was! They played a wide range of hits, getting most of our wedding guests up on their feet.
Jim was very easy to communicate with, and was great about including customized elements, such as performing the hora and providing our wedding officiant with a mic. They worked well with our other vendors, timing toasts, cake cutting, etc. perfectly.
I'd absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for an affordable and high quality band!

Mass-Conn-Fusion checked all of our boxes: terrific sound and repertoire, fantastic crowd connection and great communication and organization leading up to and during the event. They exceeded are expectations by a mile. We are using Mass-Conn-Fusion for two of our kids' weddings in a 10 month period. Jimmy and the band are true professionals and made our first wedding unforgettable. We know the same will be true for the next one!

People, a year later, are STILL talking about our wedding as being the best they've ever been to. While the setting and ceremony were awesome, it's really the band they're talking about. We had the challenge of a very small venue and about 50 people with no official dance floor. The sound was never overwhelming. It was PERFECT. They had three absolutely incredible singers, and they did their usual sax and trumpet in the crowd, on the floor, standing on chairs. They played more current songs than when we see them out (which was another concern) and the one they ended with had EVERY PERSON dancing all out. Hiring them was the BEST decision I made about the whole thing. Jimmy was a pro with managing my doubts, addressing concerns, flexible on start times etc, and made recommendations that were spot on. HIRE THESE GUYS. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Wow! After some internal debate about whether to go for a DJ or a band, the latter won out and we found this amazing group for our wedding. The 7 piece ensemble brought the energy ALL night! They were incredible at reading the room and matching the set list to the vibe of the crowd. On multiple occasions, members of the band worked their way into the audience and made for some memorable moments! Since the wedding, numerous guests have gushed to us about Mass-Conn-Fusion’s epic performance. Having them truly turned our wedding from a party to a real event!
And before the wedding, they were great to work with in the planning stages. Jim was on top of communication. We never had problems organizing the event and they were very accommodating with any requests. We dealt with some less than helpful vendors along the way so it was a real pleasure to have Jim’s professionalism and thoroughness.

My wife and I met Jim Healy, the bassist, through a mutual friend, and went to see these guys play in Wethersfield one night. They were awesome, and we stayed and danced much longer at the venue than we planned. At the time, we were searching for a wedding band, and we chose MassConnFusion then and there. We chose a song and took some dancing lessons, which did nothing to improve my two left feet. Suffice it to say, these guys brought down the house at our wedding. Spectacular band with a great set list and a deep list of songs to play. Our wedding was the best dance party I’ve ever been to, and we have this band to thank! We got loads of compliments on our choice of band!

Mass-Conn-Fusion is an absolute must for ceremony and cocktail hour music!! They play a wide variety of music and even learned a song specifically for me! Lana Del Ray - Young & Beautiful. It was my walking down the aisle song. And it was beautiful. Mass-Conn-Fusion made my wedding feel magical. Highly recommend!!

Countless people have told us they're the best band they've ever heard play a wedding, and we agree. Our wedding was a BLAST because of their energy and quality performance: amazing instrumentalists, incredibly talented vocalists with such range in genre and musicians who have so much fun playing and entertaining the crowd. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I, as the bride, did not leave the dance floor once all night. Working with Jimmy was so easy from the start - clear communication and a strong plan. He worked with us to plan our reception timeline, ensure our playlist for the break ran smoothly, and introduce our dances/speeches just right. The band learned our songs (which ranged from ABBA to Phish to Sam Cooke!) and played them SO beautifully. Throughout the entire process, having Mass-Conn-Fusion play was the part of our wedding we were (and still are) most excited about (in addition to the whole eternal love thing). HIRE THEM! You and your guests will be so pumped you did.

Mass- Conn-fusion helped our July wedding become an event that our guests still talk about to this day. They played a great variety of music and totally in-tune to the tastes of the audience. They were great advisors to us helping us plan the program which ran smooth as silk. Next to saying "I do", hiring mass- conn-fusion was the best wedding decision I made.

MassConn Fusion made my son’s wedding one of the best weddings we have ever gone to. The energy and charisma that they brought to the dance floor made it impossible for anyone to just sit and listen. You had to dance! I recommend them to everyone who asks.

My husband and I hired Mass-Conn-Fusion to play at our wedding last October and could not have asked for a better band. Jim made the booking and planning process very easy and stress-free. The band even learned to play our wedding song - and did a phenomenal job!
Mass-Conn-Fusion brought an upbeat energy and had everyone on the dance floor throughout the entire night.
Hiring Mass-Conn-Fusion was the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding. Our guests continue to compliment how fun and lively the band was.

Mass Conn Fusion is a fantastic band! Everyone at my daughter's wedding had so much fun dancing all night. The entire band brought so much energy and excitement to the wedding. They were personable and interactive with the guests. Every music selection was a performance that entertained the crowd. The dance floor was packed all evening long. The venue had to ask the band to stop playing so people would stop dancing and eat their dinner. We couldn't be happier with the band. Our guests still talk about how they loved the band and how much fun they had dancing. Since the wedding, we have gone to hear the band play many times. We strongly recommend Mass-Conn-Fusion for any wedding or party!

Hiring Mass-Conn-Fusion was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We had so much fun dancing and so did our guests. Everyone kept telling us the band was incredible both during and after the wedding! They kept everyone on the dance floor all night. We also had the Duo for cocktail hour and they were incredible! Jimmy is great and easy to work with - he made everything simple, straightforward and stress free throughout the planning process. The band learned our first dance song specifically for us and the arrangement was beautiful - something we will never forget! We can’t recommend Mass-Conn-Fusion enough for your wedding band!

We had our hearts set on finding a great wedding band at a reasonable price and Mass Conn Fusion blew us away. Jimmy worked very closely with us to select songs and set the tone. The band also learned two special songs we requested, which meant the world to us. Honestly, they could be charging a lot more for their amazing talent and customer service. We and our guests had the best time on the dance floor!

So Glad I chose Mass- Confusion band for my Daughters Wedding at the Allen Hill Farm in Brooklyn Ct. They are incredible, dance floor was always full. with guest wanting more .The Band, with their incredible singers, top notch horn section & song selection made the night even more perfect.

Mass-Conn-Fusion was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Their performance for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was above and beyond. Jim was in constant contact and ensured that we got everything we were looking for from the music, emcee services, and overall wedding vibe. MassConn Fusion was one of the best parts of our wedding! There is NOTHING like a live band! They were fun, entertaining, and engaging with the crowd, even coming on to the dance floor with the saxophone to play! The playlist was perfect. They even learned our wedding song! The dance floor was the busiest place at our wedding the whole evening and every guest, no matter their age, was singing along and dancing. The perfect combination of classic motown funk, your favorite rock albums, and hits from today's radio! I had at least five future brides who were at my wedding ask for their contact info. They were a HUGE part of what made me love our wedding so much!

MassConnFusion was absolutely incredible. They brought the party! Our wedding was 4 months ago, and our guests have not stopped raving about how incredible the band was and how much fun they had dancing. The dance floor was filled all night with guests of all generations. Not to mention the amazing performances at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and for our special dances. Mass-Conn-Fusion made our night!!!!! Every single person danced the entire night! Dance floor was packed, all tables were empty, ALL night!! Everyone loved and RAVED about them! So so many comments from guests. Lots of friends hoping to have them at their future weddings. We first saw Mass-Conn-Fusion at a friend's wedding a few years ago and knew then we needed them for ours! They learned four new songs for us including our first dance song and last song of the night! There truly isn't enough words to express how grateful and excited we were to have them play at our wedding! They made our night so perfect. Cannot recommend this band enough.

Incredible wedding experience with this band. Every attendee consistently told us our band was the best band they had experienced at a wedding. The music was outstanding, the voices were incredible, and the flexibility at every stage of the wedding day was top notch. All of our guests danced and sang, and were entertained for several hours. Highly recommend !! This band left all of us with memories of a great day that will last forever.

We first saw this band perform in December 2019, and immediately wanted to book them for our wedding in October of 2020. Cut to October 2021 when we were finally able to host the event, and this band delivered spectacularly. Every single guest that my partner and I spoke to raved about Mass-Conn-Fusion, praising their talent to no end.
If you are in the market for live entertainment for your event, look no further. These folks know how to blow the roof off the place, leaving you and your guests over the moon.

MassConn Fusion was absolutely killer at our wedding this summer- we had their guitarist play our ceremony and the jazz duo play the cocktail hour, then full band for the reception. Every member of the band is a master musician, and the solos were incredible! They even learned a Maggie Rogers song for our first dance that was beautiful. Jim was available to talk through all my questions in the weeks and months in advance of the wedding and we got a zillion compliments on them on the night of the wedding and for weeks after. Book them!

If we could give 10 stars we would!
I already knew the bands was great from listening to them at other venues. Hiring them meant so much to us as we knew the sound quality and professionalism was part of what we were looking for. Our wedding was memorable on many levels and one of the areas was because of good music. The band's vibes flow with the crowd and all are enjoying their work, which goes along way. I still get Misty when I look back at our videos capturing our songs, our special dances and our guests on the dance floor! Without good quality music you don't have much and they went above and beyond our expectations. I can't thank them enough for planning with us and giving us the best time of our lives!
