Beautiful mansion for ceremony and reception - received so many compliments on it! Food is done in-house and it is delicious. Staff are so kind and gracious. Was a delightful exper...

The Massillon Women’s club was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Our food was amazing and our guests loved our venue!!
We had our ceremony here! The whole place was decorated for Christmas already, so we didn't have to do any decorating. We had more than 100 people (~140), but wanted to have the ...
ceremony on the stair landing, so we had chairs and tables set up in the side rooms where people could sit upon arrival and then had the guests gathered around to stand once the ceremony started - the ceremony was 20 minutes and we had a few chairs lined up for those whole needed them (babies/elderly/VIP guests). We had the bridal party line up as in a traditional ceremony on each side and then had them move to standing on the stairs once I had descended - this worked out great since the bridal party had a great view, as did our guests and photographers. A few weeks before the ceremony the photo ban was lifted - very excited about that! Sharon recommended a pianist, Dan, and he worked out great. We had three hours the day of and an hour rehearsal the night before. This place is just so beautiful. We did not have our reception here, just the ceremony.
Five Oaks a.k.a. Massillon Women's Club will forever live in my heart and memories when it comes to my wedding. We found it on mere chance and upon our first visit fell in love and...
booked it immediately. It is in a residential neighborhood and just looks like an old gothic home but when you step inside you are instantly transported to an early Victorian era. The decor of the historical home is so beautiful and ornate that we didn't even need to provide decorations. Our guests enjoyed exploring the multiple levels of the mansion and everyone left impressed and awed. My favorite parts of the venue was the ornately carved woodwork that lined the massive staircase, the Tiffany stained-glass windows and the 3rd floor ballroom. This venue provides the quality of Stan Hywet for couples on a smaller budget. We were able to have our ceremony and reception at the same location. We were able to use the grounds and gardens outside for our wedding photo shoot. The food was amazing and would make Gordon Ramsey weep with joy and the service was outstanding. The catering staff went above, beyond and out of their way to accommodate our needs. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an experience to set them apart from all the other typical weddings.
The Massillon Women's Club is a great place if you like mansions. I chose this venue because I knew it had a ballroom on the third floor and we could keep everything in one locatio...
n. They start decorating for their Christmas tours in late October/ early November. My wedding was Nov. 9th, so I saved a ton of money on decorations.
Excellent food and stunning, extravagant atmosphere. Think Downton Abby. Only seats up to 100, not all of the guests can see each other, limited photography allowed, beautiful ball...
room upstairs on the third floor which is just unique and beautiful.
Not the place to rent if you want alcohol unless you are prepared to obtain a certificate of insurance with the host liquor liability, order your own security from the local police department, hire your own bartender, rent your own wine and champagne glasses, and buy all of the alcohol.
Our wedding there was beautiful and a total success - as an out of town bride - it was a total disaster booking with this place working out the alcohol situation. Even with all of the stress incurred from the alcohol - I was so smitten with the place that it was worth it. Its such an intimate departure from the open and bland wedding reception venues. When dinner was over the main floor - guests were invited up the third floor for dancing. So the differences in location really added a flavor of their own to the night.
