Working with Matei and his second shooter Viv was a joy. We contracted for the full (long!) wedding day, two shorter pre-wedding events, and an engagement session. Each session included a large range of photos and each more than met our expectations. Since it's easy to see his great talent and style from online photos, I'll focus on what made him truly stand out as a wedding professional: His photos captured everything we asked for, but we were blown away when we saw the final images because he and Viv caught every. single. special. moment. All of the little things that flashed by so fast on our wedding day but meant so much were captured forever. I had written myself a little note of my favorite memories the night of the wedding because I thought I would forget those important details - only to find a few months later that we had a photo record of every single one. It is a testament to both his skill as a photographer and perceptiveness as a human that he could manage to capture the things that would mean so much. Matei was the most responsive, professional, and personable vendor we had for our wedding. Our day-of coordinator turned out not to be very good and Matei and Viv, as the ones by our sides all day, bore the brunt of keeping us moving to the next step and keeping us upbeat and motivated. This was absolutely not their job but they nailed it anyways. We are deeply grateful for their presence and guidance through the chaos. This reflects Matei's approach throughout the entire process from planning through day-of: On top of things, present, and ready to step up. He brings a team that you can trust as much as you trust him. Having a second shooter for our large wedding was extremely important, but we were nervous that the photos wouldn't be of the same caliber as we got from Matei himself. We needn't have worried - Viv did an excellent job shooting in his style and capturing the important moments. We look forward to working with Matei again for other important moments in our lives. Thank you for everything!

I love Matei and his team so much!! The photos came out BEAUTIFULLY, we are beyond happy with the way everything came out. I am super uncomfortable in front of the camera, and his team made it so easy and I felt super confident. I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer!

Choosing Matei was one of the best decisions we made planning our wedding! We knew we wanted a photographer who would focus on the unique moments of our event, rather than the formulaic poses you see in every wedding album. Matei has a keen eye for the details, the off beat, the genuine moments that make a wedding truly memorable. He's truly a fine art photographer. He not only captures the couple, but makes sure you can experience the entirety of your wedding through your photos. We loved seeing all of the shots of our friends and family through his eyes. Also, you could not ask for a more calm presence on a day as stressful as your wedding. Especially for those who may be camera-shy, Matei makes sure you feel comfortable and even forget that he's there shooting. Our photos are so beautiful and we will always be able to go back and cherish our wedding memories through Matei's photography.

Matei and his team are absolutely fantastic! They were professional, timely, worked with our budget, familiar with our ethnic traditions, sensitive to our families and needs, and simply put - EASY to work with. His hard work and passion for photography is evident in his portfolio, and he spends countless hours on post-production to ensure the very best quality. They were worth every penny!
