Matrimony by Maija was born after Maija was asked to officiate the wedding of two of her closest friends. Needless to say, she thoroughly enjoyed the experience and began pursuing officiation as a part-time profession. Passionate and professional, Maija loves getting to know each couple personally so that she can unite them in a way that reflects their one-of-a-kind bond. Matrimony by Maija is licensed to officiate ceremonies throughout the state of Minnesota. Whatever your vision for your ceremony might look like, Maija is ready to provide you with a stress-free experience from your very first consultation. She offers her services in both English and Spanish and can officiate religious, non-religious, and interfaith ceremonies, as well as vow renewals and civil unions.

d grace. Our meetings prior to the wedding were very easy going and she has a presence about her that is welcoming, genuine, and caring. She also made the trek all the way out to Hawaii to officiate my wedding and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I wanted something light and easy going so I wouldn’t get get too teary and she did all of that and more. It was very personalized and she took the time to really create the perfect mix of elegant and funny. I was so happy with everything! I’d absolute recommend Maija to anyone looking for an officiant!

d me before we were married, she asked us questions that got us all having the feels. Maija really took her time to ensure her speech was catered to us and she chose a poem that I really resonated with, that I even have framed in our house now! Maija isn’t just an officiant in your wedding, she is a good friend that really cares you have the best day ever! Maija loves love and you can tell she puts a lot of love into her job.
