Congrats! Getting married is awesome and finding the right officiant is a key part of getting the wedding you want, not just what you are “supposed” to be doing. I’ve done hundreds of weddings from traditional to wildly non-traditional, including at the top of remote mountains, Midtown Comics in NYC for a Marvel Comics contest, and at a Mad Hatter’s tea party.
If you want to get married by someone who feels more like one of your weirdo friends than a stuffy authority figure, I’m your dude! Same-sex, non-traditional and last minute ceremonies are a specialty, but anything you can think of, I’m happy to do.
I’ve been doing weddings since 2007 and have married well over 1000 couples. It’s amazing to me that I get to be a part of such an awesome moment with so many people!

Other than weddings I’m a full time game designer, own a game shop, and teach design at a few colleges. So I spend my time making people happy and spreading joy, be it weddings or playing games. I live in New Haven with a couple cats, a dog, and a really awesome partner. I’m pretty stoked on life!

use he did not want to exclude those who couldn't pay as much. For the most part, Matt was reachable by email and responded within a few days. A few emails went unanswered but when I reached out again he was very responsive. He tailored our ceremony to details we provided him. On the day of he showed up at the time as promised. His words were thoughtful and his delivery was excellent. Our guests loved the ceremony! We really appreciated him being part of our day. I would recommend him to other couples with the caveat that you may need to be flexible and understanding of his communication style.

se.. So a few days later I texted to see if my email was received. He replied that he received it but had some family stuff going on.. Two weeks before my wedding I still have no script or ceremony plan. I reached out a few more times. No response. Had to finally give up and hire someone new ONE WEEK before my wedding - thank god she was available! I wish he was more honest about his availability. I lost so much sleep over it - I hate feeling like I’m nagging people but a wedding ceremony is a big deal and he needed to at least provide me with a response - good or bad. Beware - I would not recommend.

Matt was extremely accommodating and a stress free vendor to say the least. He even kept my groom relaxed and comfortable right before the ceremony. I honestly cant say enough good things.
