From our very first conversation with Matt, my husband and I knew that we had found our photographer for our Sept. 2010 wedding. Not only was his portfolio absolutely stunning, but he also has a way of putting you at ease -- he was open and honest, knowledgeable and professional but without being overly formal. During the wedding, we barely noticed him at all, which allowed us to enjoy our wedding day instead of worrying about posing for pictures. Yet, he managed to capture EVERYTHING, all of the memorable moments we experienced plus the sweet, hidden ones we had missed. Working with him after the wedding was also great ... I am in love with the wedding album he produced for us. It is filled with candid, beautiful shots and really does transport me back to that wonderful day. I wholly recommend Matt; he is an extremely talented photographer and a really cool, down-to-earth guy!

After seeing my best friends pictures also done by Matt my then fiancee and I knew that we wanted Matt to shoot our wedding. If your looking for grandmas posed run of the wedding alblum than read no further. The beauty of having a photojournalist shoot your special day is that your photos truly tell a story. Matt captured emotions and moments that would otherwise be lost in the blur and excitement of the day. When I look through my alblum all of my emotions flood back to me. It is such a complete alblum I almost always find a tear in my eyes when I am done. If you are looking for something special and unique to you and your loved ones on your day than Matt is the way to go. We are so glad we chose him for the most importrant pictures of our life together so far.

Matt was, hands down, one of our favorite aspects of the whole planning process for our April 2010 wedding. I first heard of Matt a few years ago when I worked for a local newspaper and our staff photographer brought him to our office to give a presentation (since he had recently won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography). When we got engaged and were looking for a wedding photographer and saw that Matt was now shooting weddings, we arranged a meeting with him and were immediately impressed with his great attitude and his passion for photography, and we booked him within a few days. We scheduled an engagement shoot with him for the fall and he did not disappoint ... he had great ideas for cool shots, he was fun to work with and he was not at all intrusive - we barely noticed that he was there at times. He met with us a few more times before our wedding to talk about timelines and formal shot setups, he answered my e-mail inquiries quickly, and he attended our ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding to scope out the church and go over the "ground rules" with the priest. On the wedding day everything went incredibly smoothly ... he was hardly noticeable at the church, the formal photos were done very quickly, and the bridal party shoot in between the ceremony and reception was a blast. He photographed things at the reception as they happened, and didn't try to create any special moments or poses during the special dances and cake cutting ... the only posed shots were family and group shots that we specifically asked him to take. Our bridal party members and our parents all commented on how great he was. He sent us six teaser shots two days after the wedding, which he had re-sized and invited us to share with our friends via Facebook or e-mail. We got the link to the online gallery of photos 19 days after the wedding, and we were THRILLED with all of them. There were so many photos of little moments that would've otherwise gone unnoticed by us, and there were wonderful shots where we didn't even realize that we were being photographed at the time. We received the high-resolution disk of edited photos a month after the wedding, along with an external hard drive of every single photo that was taken. We 100% recommend Matt. Booking him was probably the best decision we made when planning our wedding.
