photo shoot and while I am a performer and very comfortable in front of a camera, my fiancé is not- nor does he feel Comfortable with PDA- so I honestly wasn’t sure how the engagement pics would go! BUT, Matt is so fun and cool that he put both of us at ease, and we had a blast! AND we got the CUTEST pictures that truly captured who we are as a couple, and memories that will last a lifetime. They came very quickly and were easy to access and download!
He just shot our wedding day a few days ago, and we are DYING to see the pictures. We truly could not have asked for a more calming, enjoyable presence on such a hectic, crazy, and exciting day. Everyone commented on how great he was to have around, and again he just made everyone feel so comfortable and have a blast while getting his job done. He is so professional and knows exactly what he is doing, while treating you like a friend, and that’s the perfect combo! Highly recommend Matt for all your photography needs.

On our wedding day, he made me (and the rest of the bridal party) feel comfortable and at ease as he took photos. He went about his work in a seamless and unobtrusive way. During more formal photos, Matt provided great direction in a quick manner that allowed us to maximize our photo session time in between wedding day events.
The finished photos were delivered to us in less than two weeks time as promised. I cannot begin to choose my favorite pictures, as they are all amazing. Matt truly captured the energy and essence of our wedding day. Once again, I highly recommend Matt Simpkins as your photographer on your wedding day.

hots. I didn't think it was possible but our wedding photos were even better than our engagement shots. He captured the day in such a personal, creative, beautiful, and intuitive way. He is a true artist and has a wonderful gift. He had a second shooter and somehow you barely knew they were there but still managed to get incredible photos of the entire day. He was more reasonably priced, including transportation, than all of the photographers we researched in CT that were close to his caliber. He's gets back to you with answers to questions very quickly and we had our wedding photos 2 weeks after the wedding. If I could give him 10 stars I would!
