A Destination Wedding Experience Close to Home!

Words don't do justice for how amazing this place is--if I could give it 10 stars I would! Ms. Tammy is truly a pleasure to work with and she made this entire process so easy--it was the perfect weekend. We booked the weekend package, because we loved the idea of having our friends and family close by, and it was amazing. Everything about this venue is perfect. They have it down to a science here, and it couldn't be better. I was a little worried about the weather in January, but they were quick to assure me that they would have everything taken care of--and they did. The two climate-controlled barns for a ceremony and reception where exactly what we were looking for to cover all possible weather outcomes in January. They also had staff on hand with golf carts to transport not only us, but our guests when it started drizzling. But also, rain? No problem because the rain somehow made this place even more gorgeous. We had so many people tell us this was one of the best weddings they've been to, and I truly think that's in part because of this venue and their amazing team. Ms. Tammy also officiated our wedding and she was great! She is so sweet and professional and she made the entire journey from finding the venue, to the wedding day, seamless. If you're looking at booking this venue, I'd highly recommend it. It's the perfect blend of simply elegant with a rustic charm. We were so impressed with literally everything about this venue and their staff. We could not have asked for a better wedding weekend!
This is the place to get married! Beautiful venue! Staff was amazing and so easy to work with! If we wanted something, we pretty much got it. And can we talk about the manor house?! GORGEOUS!

Mattaponi Springs is an elegant and slightly rustic wedding venue in Ruther Glen, VA. This golf club and private event venue sits on a unique property with landscaped grounds, stylish celebration spaces, and excellent amenities. If you're looking to host an elegant event with timeless appeal, look no further than The Barns at Mattaponi Springs.
This stunning property features 146 acres of land overlooking the water. You can choose from an array of beautiful outdoor ceremony sites to enjoy all that the venue has to offer. In the case of inclement weather, your ceremony can be moved indoors. After you've said your vows, you and your party can retreat to one of two barns, the large Poplar Barn or the smaller Pine Barn. Both barns provide incredible waterfront views and showcase intricate woodworking and attention to detail. Charming yet elegant, the barns are a wonderful place to celebrate your love with an evening of dining and dancing for up to 200 guests. The property is also home to a manor house and 4 cottages, providing overnight accommodation for 44 lucky guests.
The dedicated team at Mattaponi Springs will work with you throughout the planning process to ensure that you have an incredible experience at their venue. They'll provide a list of trusted vendors in the area to assist with your planning process and are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. On the day of your event, they'll provide farmhouse tables, service tables, chairs, a catering prep kitchen, parking attendants, and set up and break down. Both barns have air conditioning and heating systems to ensure the comfort of your guests, no matter what time of year you host your event. They have great decorative items, such as lanterns, crates, and an arbor, available to use as you please. You and your guests can also choose to stay after your event to play a game of golf on their world-class golf course.
