One of the biggest reasons we chose to work with Matthew was because he captures the emotions in photos so well, and he absolutely delivered! While our posed photos are stunning; he was able to capture the candids, and feelings of the day perfectly - all the while being so calm and un-intrusive. There are so many photos where we didn’t even realize he was close by. It allowed us to enjoy our day and have each moment authentically captured. He was practically invisible when capturing the real, candid moments of our day — the ones that don’t feel staged or forced — yet somehow, whenever we looked around wanting a photo with friends or family, he was right there. That balance gave us the freedom to enjoy our night while still knowing every important moment was being documented. Matthew and Stephen brought such kindness and professionalism to the day; it felt like we had friends alongside us rather than just photographers. Stephen even shot film, which gave us such unique, timeless images that we love. Leading up to the ceremony, the weather was rainy, but Matthew immediately adapted, finding natural, comfortable spots around our venue that worked beautifully for photos. The creativity in their work was amazing — they found cool moments, angles, and perspectives that we never would have thought of, and the result is a gallery full of energy and authenticity. On top of that, Matthew turned around a preview set of photos the very next day so we could enjoy highlights before heading off on our honeymoon. That thoughtfulness meant so much to us. Most importantly, Matthew helped us feel comfortable during every step — from the quiet, intimate pre-ceremony moments to the biggest celebrations of the night. We wouldn’t have done it any differently, and we are so grateful for the memories he and Stephen captured. From the very beginning, Matthew was organized and professional, taking the time to chat with us about the process of taking photos at one's wedding and about his process of how he likes to work with couples. He was very responsive whenever we had questions, and he was so quick in sharing a sneak preview of photos from the big day too! Neither myself nor my husband jump at taking photos, and we don't have that many photos together, so the photos of us at our wedding felt both very important and a little intimidating. But we had *so* much fun with Matthew taking our photos. Matthew was a calm, kind, and thoughtful presence over the course of the day and had a clear vision of where the light and background would be best, and when it came to candids and documenting parts of the day that were less posed, we were both so comfortable that we could really be ourselves and not be conscious about the camera. I think you can tell from the photos, which is a big part of why we love them. We can't recommend Matthew enough. We would jump at the chance to work with him again!

As a couple that was dreading the "posed" photos and the time it would take out of our cocktail party (given we did not want to do a first look), all of our fears were assuaged and Matt absolutely crushed banging through the photo list and getting a shocking number of really great shots of the 2 of us too in very little time and with no stress added to our plates on the busy day. He was so accommodating and always checked in to see how we were doing and if we wanted more pics without being pushy or in our faces (e.g., asked if we wanted to pop out for sunset photos or skip them, asked if there were extended family shots he should grab, etc.). We both barely knew Matt was there but yet really appreciated his attention to ensuring we were happy with how things were progressing on the photo front. But most importantly his work speaks for itself. His shots are all STUNNING and he was so creative to put us places / in front of scense that we could not have imagined ourselves (e.g., we got an insanely beautiful photo in the door of the church with the light behind us). He also got a great number of candids to fully capture our WHOLE evening, not just the posed elements. I have loved looking through the photos we have gotten so far, because some of his shots were moments I didn't get to see myself in person, and for that I am so grateful. We cannot say enough good things about our experience and have been recommending him to everyone, so thank you Matthew!!

he set up many, many posed shots that we are thrilled with, he told us when we first interviewed him that he prefers and specializes in candid photography. His instincts for such photography appear to be incredible; when we looked over a preview of the photographs from our wedding (which he somehow got to us the very next morning), it was clear that he captured certain moments we didn’t even know were happening. Moreover, he also photographed some more private moments (in particular, one of our family members quietly toasted us away from most of the crowd) which we literally didn’t even know he was present for. He was also very attentive to the lighting outside and stole us away for some shots when the lighting was particularly good- he remembered a spot where we hoped to get some photos and they are some of our favorites. It meant a lot to have someone who kept track of what was important to us and made sure we got amazing photos. Beyond all of the above, Matthew is an absolute delight to work with. He is quietly confident, laid back, professional, and efficient. Matthew stopped by my hotel room to photograph my friends and I getting ready and saw the somewhat “louder” suit I’d picked for our wedding. Once he told me he liked the color, I knew I was good to go (any and all of us would benefit from his fashion sense). I can only give him my most wholehearted endorsement.

At one point during our prep, I honestly forgot that he was there until he asked to get a shot by a mirror, lol. He is great at staging photos too, as he knows how to get you to stand for the perfect shot! We also received all of our photos back earlier than expected, now this is not a guarantee obviously but was a nice surprise to receive our photos back early! We also received a highlight reel of photos before all of our photos came back. amily friend's wedding. We loved his work so he was honestly the only photographer I wanted. He took a 1-hour engagement shoot for us and our wedding photos. We've only gotten a preview of our wedding photos so far (was only 3 weeks ago), but we are already so excited to see the rest, as the preview photos were amazing. Matthew is very easy to work with and makes you feel completely at ease in front of the lens. He also got the unexpected job of carrying our wedding rings. I had zero doubts or worries about it though, again because you feel very much at ease that Matthew knows what he is doing. So thank you again Matthew! After meeting with Matt, my husband and i knew instantly that he was our guy (actually we had picked Matt before we had picked the venue!). He is a soft spoken, professional, photo ninja with broad experience and creativity required to shoot any event ! He truly captured our wedding day with all of the care and attention to detail that I had hoped. Many of our guests noted they barely noticed him or his assistant, most didnt know there were two ! Although I have only seen the amazing "highlight" photos so far I felt compelled to review Matt ASAP so that some other lucky couples can find him!
