Matthew photographed our wedding on Saturday, August 8, 2026. He was our first choice based on his editorial (and less cliche wedding portrait) style of photography and his story-telling point of view. We were lucky that he was available! We had a call with him after booking where he got to know us better and described what the day would be like, and a call about a week or so out where we got into more details about which specific photos we wanted to make sure we got. Matthew said one of the compliments he usually gets is that people don't even realize he is there, which is true, but in our experience only to the extent that we didn't feel pressured to pose or look a certain way while he captured our day. However we definitely knew he was there because he was just fun to be around! He is extremely professional but also has a great sense of humor and was very patient, especially while we wrangled our larger extended families during cocktail hour to take portraits. He was also willing to stay an extra hour beyond what we had agreed on in order to photograph the rest of our reception, which was so kind of him to do on the fly. I haven't seen our photos yet but I would highly recommend Matthew just based on the experience we had, he made a typically high-pressure situation where the aim is to get the "perfect" pictures instead feel fun and relaxed where we actually got to enjoy the day. But based on the stellar photos in his portfolio, I can't wait to see our wedding through Matthew's point of view!
We recently used Matthew for our wedding in December. From the start I loved the photos Matthew had on his websites from previous weddings and I am so glad he did our wedding. Matthew does a great variety of photos my favorite being candid and black and white ones. He is amazing photograph and captured everything so well. He even when around taking pictures of the place and town knowing that those were the types of photos we liked. He amazing and I would recommended him for anything! We will be going back to him for any photo session we need.
