Matthew is the best choice we made for our wedding. He committed to all the bits, from our engagement to our wedding. I will be calling him for my husband's PhD graduation. Matthew...
is an incredible person and a talented artist! He and the camera become one for the main goal to capture your essence...and he does!! If you want to look AWESOME hire Matthew Monarca!!
Matt is amazing! He was very professional and was able to photograph every aspect of my wedding. The price we paid was for engagement, wedding, and wedding reception photos. He set...
up and was ready to go very fast and was very knowledgeable about what lighting worked best at different times! You should really hire Matt for your wedding!
In the beginning stages of our wedding, I knew two things: mountains and I wanted Monarca to be our photographer. He was from my hometown and I stumbled upon his Instagram page whi...
ch led me to his photography portfolio page. I gushed to my husband how I loved his work. At the time he had only showcased a few weddings but I could see the eye from his other work. We made contact and he initiated a formal sit down meeting. He was personable but always very professional. We had a lengthier engagement and he kept in contact the whole time to help fine tune things before the day so on the day of he knew when and where and what he was photographing. We loved the energy he brought to not only the moments he was at work but also his whole aura. He photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and gave us incredibly early sneak peeks to hold us over while waiting for our full set of pictures to arrive. I would of course recommend his services as he is a pleasure to work with and one of the highlights of our special day.
Matt took some incredible fall engagement photos for my fiancé and I during 2022! They’re framed in my house and I use my favorites as lock screens on my phone ❤️ Incredibly profes...
sional! He was completely amenable when I had a medical emergency the day before we’d scheduled for photos, and we were able to reschedule shortly after. Honestly brag worthy work with a great personality to boot! I’ll definitely use his photography skills again if my wedding takes place in Raleigh!
We loved working with Matt! I haven't really hired a photographer for a professional photoshoots before, so I wasn't really sure how it would go or what the session would be like. ...
Matt immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease and had some really cool and creative ideas for different angles and environments. He also seems to have a natural instinct for how to frame couples (I am almost a foot shorter than my husband haha). The finished products came out amazing and I am so pleased to have these honeymoon photos to look back on.
TLDR: The photos turned out *beautifully* and Matt was super easy to work with and had great energy.
I am usually very uncomfortable with having my pictures taken, or being the center of attention - so I was nervous about the photography aspect of my wedding.
I was pleasantly su...
rprised by the whole experience. Once we discussed the vision me& my husband had, I barely noticed Matt was there. He catered the pictures towards what I said I valued, and blended in seamlessly with the background during the wedding event.
He advised on lighting and timing of the pictures when it was appropriate, since it was an outdoor wedding. Both him and his assistant were professional and warm, which put me at ease. I actually ended up having fun through the process!
Quick turnaround for receiving the pictures, and Matt did a great job editing everything to the level that I requested. I enjoy looking back at my pictures and the memories that were captured, and plan to book Matt for future family pictures.
We had the pleasure of working with Matt during our vow renewal ceremony in March 2023. What struck us most about Matt was that he is such a kind and respectful person, and we coul...
d tell that he was just as invested as we were in making our wedding memorable. Matt is incredibly easy to work with and very personable. It felt more like a good friend was taking our pictures instead of a vendor! We secretly thought that he must have the ability to clone himself because he captured pictures from literally every conceivable angle during our 4-hour event! We highly recommend Matt!!
We had a great experience with Matt as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos! Even though he lives out of town, he never expressed any issues with traveling to cap...
ture our special moments which was really appreciated. He always got our photos back promptly, even sending us a sample of them on our honeymoon! And the photos of course, turned out amazing and we have them displayed throughout our home now. I'd definitely recommend Matt as a photographer. He's personable and professional, so I'm not sure what else you could ask for!
Matt is a pleasure to work with . Flexible and professional, his creativity left us very pleased. He was able to coax the most camera shy members of our party (dogs included !) ...
into putting their best feet forward.
Matt was on point with every single thing we asked of him! No pun intended!
His attention to detail and listening to us was 10/10!
The day of he made sure to make myself and the...
wedding party super comfortable; the shots were all gorgeous and not once did we feel awkward!
I was also gifted a boudoir shoot with Matt and every second of it was just pure comfort! He made sure to make me feel right at home and super confident!
Absolutely a joy to work with, could not have been happier. Matt and his assistant did our wedding April of this year. We had already talked to a couple of people and when we had a...
chance to chat what he was all about and how he liked to handle photos and what all everything would entail, I felt comfortable leaving it with him and not stressing leading up to the wedding or the day of.
We were able to talk through what little bits we might want to add or not include like bridal portraits, types of group photos, key people or points we wanted to capture, how much time we wanted him on site and whether or not we wanted to bring in an assistant. With that he was able to pull up a really well priced contract/quote for everything.
Day of, Matt and the assistant were on time, checked in with me to see if there was any updates to anything we'd already chatted about, he went over a few bits about what they were going to be doing and their timing so we were able to make the best use of time.
Throughout the event they got some absolutely gorgeous shots that made picking my favorites very very difficult. From the group shots to the ceremony to the reception to the exit, they caught all of the little moments that I'll treasure for a lifetime.
10/10 would recommend to anybody that was looking for a wedding photographer.
