There are two types of wedding photographers in the world. You have the "cookie-cutter" photographer or one that recreates every wedding image you have seen on Instagram and then you have Matthew Moore Photography. It is extremely easy to imitate images you see splattered across Instagram, however, it takes someone who is not just a photographer but a storyteller to capture images like Matt. He managed to capture so many emotions we had that day. You can tell how nervous and anxious I was getting ready. You can see the anticipation on the faces of guests as they arrived to the ceremony, and you can see the pure joy and love between my husband and I during our first dance. In addition to amazing images, Matt is just a really good guy. He made my husband and I feel completely at ease. His wife, Katie, did my hair and make-up and made me feel like a goddess. She also helped me when my hair was out of place or dress needed adjusting. Oh, and she calmed all of my bridal nerves the day of. So, if you want someone to capture unique and pure images of your wedding that are truly pieces of art this is your photography team. (P.S. Ask about the Love Reels, you will not be disappointed.)

We cannot recommend Matthew Moore Photography & team enough, and are forever grateful for the gorgeous images of our big day. My husband and I are a tad lime-light averse but Matt's coaching and direction helped us stay in the moment and focused on each other. He's pretty funny and kept the mood light but meaningful. We had the absolute best experience working with Matt and Katie. They did our engagement, bridals, and wedding photography (which we can't wait to see). Our friends tell us that our Save the Date card is one that they still keep on their fridge because of how awesome the photography and idea was behind it. I could not be more happy and satisfied with the photographs from my wedding, as well as my bridal portraits. Matt and Katie are amazing to work with. I never felt uncomfortable or weird about being photographed. I love that they don't really pose you, they capture who you are when you least expect it. My husband and I greatly enjoyed working with Matt for our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. Neither of us felt fully confident that we'd know what to do in front of the camera, but Matt made us feel comfortable and kindly provided the direction we needed. He captured our special day beautifully – with digital footage as well as film. Our home is now full of gorgeous images that remind us of the most special day we share. And Matt also brought a talented videographer to the table. Matthew more photography is our go to! He is the one of the most talented and humble photographers I have ever worked with. His work speaks for itself. He has a way of capturing moments you didn’t even know were happening and ones you never want to forget. And somehow someway he always gets everyone’s best angles. As a designer and planner I want all of the detailed shots and he always finds a way in his timeline to make them a priority. Beautiful Photos!

Choosing Matt and Katie of Matthew Moore Photography to shoot our wedding was easy after looking through their portfolio and speaking with them. From our first discussions, to traveling to Austin, Texas for our engagement shoot, all the way through the wedding, we had a massive couple-crush on them. They are professional but fun, tremendously creative and were a dream to work with and have as a part of our celebration. Matt and Katie have a candid, relaxed, and unobtrusive way of shooting, combined with an editorial feel that makes everyone and everything look fabulous. They go with what feels right and natural and worked with us to figure out what we wanted. They photographed the whole wedding weekend, including the vineyard tour, mushroom hunt, rehearsal dinner, and the brunch the day after the wedding. For bridal portraits, they found this ethereal lake surrounding a deserted medieval village called Isola Santa for a dream sequence walking through the woods and me floating in the lake (the one big exception to our posed shot vendetta). The results and experience we had were spectacular! There are many photos that we don’t recall them being around for, but they clearly got!

When we reminisce on our wedding day we are reminded of the love, happiness, and our community. That day was one of the most special moments in our lives and so many people came together to make it happen. One of those people that we cherish is Matthew. When we look through our photos we relive those moments full of love and pure happiness that were in the air. His photos truly transport us back and gave us a special glimpse to the other things that were happening around us that we didn’t get to see, like those special photos of our ring bearer and flower girls playing together and our beloved family and friends watching us with love as we were saying I do and those laughs brought by our father’s speeches. Matthew was a quiet presence that day, capturing special moments at the church and venue from all perspectives. It was very impressive to us all of the angles and quantity of photos he was able to capture as he was the only photographer. From day one we knew he would be our photographer because of the calm vibe he gave. He and his wife were instrumental in our worry-free day because of their help in building us a perfect timeline that fit our schedule. He was very flexible in our request and patiently guided us through the process. Matthew at the end of the night became like one of our guests. We highly recommend him for any occasions, you truly will not regret it.

A lot of photographers talk about capturing the "moment". I think there is a fine line between capturing a moment, and making your wedding look like something it wasn't. Maybe some people like fake or to make their day look more special than it was. Matt is not that. He's exceptional at what he does, and he made us feel comfortable and let us enjoy our small moments in-between the chaos. Most importantly he captured those small moments which are some of the best memories I have of my wedding. To me that's priceless.

Matt and Katie were absolutely incredible to work with. They shot our engagement and wedding weekend photos as well as my bridal portraits. My husband and I are a little camera shy and they made us feel so comfortable and you would never know how awkward we truly are in front of the camera by looking at our beautiful photos. They were always quick to respond to our emails and easy to get in touch with. They pay close attention to detail and have such an eye for things. Their style is very organic. No cheesy poses/photos when you work with these two! Matt also shot video footage of our two day wedding (American ceremony and Indian ceremony) using an analog film camera. People have literally cried while watching our highlight video. It was that beautiful. We will definitely work with them again in the future!

Matthew Moore Photography exceeded what we were expecting out of a engagement and wedding photographer! Within our first 5 minutes of meeting them in Austin, they new exactly what type of engagement shots would "fit" our personalities and scored us a shoot at the French Legate Museum in downtown Austin. Bryan and I had a relaxed and enjoyable time laughing with Matthew and Katie as they just let us "do our thing". They are more than just wedding photographers: they helped us plan everything leading up to the wedding day including the day of timeline, best colors for photo shots, which earring to wear, and the coolest flowers. (I'm wondering if they should start a wedding event planning side of their business, too?!) Our wedding day brought rain in the morning, but Matthew Moore Photography totally kept me calm and they found some awesome outdoor shots away from the clouds and the rain. Matthew even walked around with a sheet for me to stand on to keep the dress spotless. For the ceremony and reception at Tiny Boxwoods, they found the best detailed shots to capture everything from the menu, the ring-bearers pulling wagons outside, and our first-look. We are SO, SO pleased with every picture and love the signature gallery that MMP created. Gosh, when I got sick and was unable to get the CD with the images from our wedding, Matthew even took the extra time to email the gallery to me when it was ready as a sort of "chicken-soup". Wow...did it make me feel better! If you are looking for photographers, you'll be missing out if you don't choose Matthew Moore. We love them and plan to go grab a cup of coffee with them anytime we're close to Austin because they are just that friendly and fun to be around!
