We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Matt and our experience with him as our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, Matt was incredibly professional, flexible, and easy to work with. Just a week before our wedding, we completely changed our plans for where we wanted to take photos, and he didn’t hesitate to accommodate us. He even drove over an hour into the city to meet us and make it happen, which meant so much to us. On the wedding day, Matt was exactly the kind of person you want by your side. He had such a calming presence and did an amazing job directing us and helping with poses while still making everything feel natural and comfortable. Nothing ever felt awkward, overly staged, or forced. He made us laugh, helped us relax, and somehow made being in front of the camera feel easy. During the ceremony and reception, he struck the perfect balance. He was friendly and personable with our family and friends, but never intrusive or overbearing. He seemed to know exactly when to step in and when to blend into the background so we could simply enjoy the day. And, of course, the photos! Matt has already sent us some of our first shots, and they are absolutely beautiful. Seeing them brought us right back to the day, and we are so excited to see the rest. Matt was professional, funny, personable, adaptable, and incredibly talented. We are so grateful that he was there to capture such a magical and important time in our lives and give us photos that we will cherish forever. We genuinely could not recommend him highly enough.

Born into an artistic family where my mother was an art teacher and father was a professional photographer I grew up inspired by my parents. In 2013 I decided to take my passion for photography to the next level and start photographing weddings professionally. Since then I have hundreds of weddings under my belt and have built a network of professionals I work with and I absolutely love what I do. I work very hard to make sure I capture every little moment moment for you and I will work with you leading up to your wedding to set you your wedding photography timeline.

Aside from his amazing photography skills he is a great guy, so down to earth and friendly. It is obvious he loves what he does. Prior to the reception, Matt came to the hotel to take some "getting ready" pictures. My 2 year old grand daughter had an absolute meltdown and wouldn't cooperate with any of us with getting dressed. Matt had the patience of a saint, he was the only one who was able to talk her into getting dressed and even managed to get her to cooperate for pictures. It was obvious this was not his first rodeo with uncooperative toddlers. I highly recommend Matt Scott Photography, you won't be disappointed.

He even found and booked for us a great garden location to take photos in with our bridal party in between the ceremony and reception, and had a back up plan in place in case of rain.
