Built in 1900, this building acquired its name due to its previous use as a mattress factory, where Sterns & Foster products were created. After being purchased by Barbara Luderowski in 1975, it was reimagined as a cultural space for contemporary works. This museum has since showcased artwork and installations from over 750 artists. Doubling up as a fantastic location for special events, the museum offers both indoor and outdoor spaces. A garden makes a stunning backdrop for outdoor ceremonies, while the lobby offers a contemporary industrial-chic ambiance for chic receptions. Accommodating up to 200 guests for a cocktail reception or 125 for a banquet-style event, this room boasts plenty of space for loved ones to mingle. The garden and lobby are separated by glass doors, which can be opened in summer months to create a flawless flow between spaces.
The Mattress Factory Museum welcomes all ceremony types, including civil unions, religious and non-religious events. Dedicated staff will be available to assist you with any questions in the run-up to the event. When celebrating here, couples and their guests will be able to explore the current art exhibitions, providing a plethora of opportunities for one-of-a-kind wedding photos.

the museum during the cocktail hour and after dinner. It rained and was about 50 degrees out, but they have a tent set up, and everyone was comfortable. The venue is beautiful but not fussy and perfect for a couple who wants something interesting and special. Highly recommended!

'm so happy we found the Mattress Factory. Amanda (the venue coordinator) was literally a godsend during this incredibly stressful wedding planning process. She was super responsive, friendly, and open to all of our needs and requests.
Also--the Mattress Factory itself as a venue is absolutely beautiful, especially during the summer. Our ceremony was in the parking lot (which is blocked off for the entire day prior ensuring no cars will be there), and the reception was in the lobby and garden areas. The venue itself is surprisingly very neutral, but absolutely beautiful and you can add your own flair to it. My guests also loved being able to go explore the museum during the reception! I could not recommend this venue enough.

a few blocks away, but none of that got in the way of an AWESOME wedding. You have a lot of control over the details here which is great. Amanda, the event planner, listened to our requests and made them happen - she was not the least bit pushy with how she thought things should be. She did offer advice when necessary, which was a good thing, and made sure all went smoothly on the day of. A big plus is that you are free to use a caterer of your choice and bring your own alcohol. Guests were able to go though the galleries, which was so much fun! This is a unique and somewhat quirky venue, so if that is your style I would highly recommend it.
