Not only did she create the exact look I envisioned, but she also made the experience so much fun with her vibrant and engaging personality. For my MOH she created a stunning, identical version of the inspiration photo I showed her, actually, i think it turned out even better than the photo! Plus, she was punctual, which is crucial on such an important day. Amber's calming energy and easy-going nature made the whole process a breeze. She truly just gets you and gets what you want for your hair, which is so important on your wedding day. Then there's Liz, the makeup artist, who is just as stunning as the work she does. I was so excited to be her canvas for the morning, and she exceeded every expectation. The result was better than I ever imagined, perfectly aligning with what I wanted for my special day. Liz was an absolute joy to talk to while she worked. We laughed, related to each other, and she even let me vent a bit. Her choice of fabulous products made me feel incredibly special. I had a small issue with my face after she was done, and she jumped right back in to fix it without hesitation. I only mention that because it's important that you know you can communicate with Liz and she hears you! It felt like chatting with a friend while she worked. Her zen, confident energy was a lovely and welcomed presence on my wedding day. Liz and Amber were not just vendors; they were integral to the joy and perfection of the day. I am a researcher. An avid review reader. I like to understand the experience the client had in partnering with the vendor. Boy, does the team at MMA have exquisite customer service. Liz and her team are genuinely GOOD PEOPLE and the MOST talented in the game. Dana (Beauty Coordinator, Spray Tan): Dana was our prime point of contact for booking and scheduling. She was prompt with her responses and super friendly. She arrived at our resort the day before for a spray tan. She was early, organized and efficient. More importantly, she was so fun and friendly. I’ve had some pretty “meh” spray tans in life, but Dana did an excellent job. No streaks and the color was perfect!! Amber (Hair Stylist): I had sent hair and makeup “inspo” prior to my big day, so Amber knew ahead of time what I had been looking for. I had had a horrible hair cut at my home salon prior to my arrival in Maui and was terrified my hair wouldn’t turn out the way I had wanted. Amber was super sweet and calmed my nerves. She was FABULOUS. Did EXACTLY what I wanted without any issue! I could have cried I was so happy! Liz (Makeup Artist): Liz did a PHENOMENAL job. She is an artist, hands down. When the appt started we were total strangers and when she left we were friends. She is the utmost professional and an awesome businesswoman. She is just the best!

The Maui Makeup team was THE dream team for my bridal needs. Liz, the owner corresponded with me often to ensure my vision was understood months leading up to the big day. Being a destination wedding, there can be some anxiety working with people hundreds of miles away but I always felt I was in good hands. Liz also has experience in doing glam in LA so I feel like she understood the more modern “clean girl aesthetic” techniques that are sweeping Hollywood right now. I felt it was the much newer “more is less” than the often heavier bridal looks I’ve seen, which was perfect for me. I wanted my look to be classic yet natural so I could look and feel like myself, not some mega glam version I wouldn’t recognize when I look back on these photos in years. Even having met Liz only twice before the big day, she knew exactly what I meant and delivered just that. She listens to your needs and has a great instinct with creating an overall look. She also gave me a second lip color for my after party dress change! Another bonus, Liz was simply easy to talk to and a pleasure to spend time with which is exactly the person you want on a potentially chaotic, stressful event. Anna, who did my hair was also phenomenal and such a pleasure to work with. She did an incredible job with an updo that was perfection. I’ll never be over my wedding look. Every single one of my bridesmaids, mom and sisters were so happy with their looks. Everyone looked gorgeous! My bridesmaids and I had such a seamless and positive, stress-free experience the day of the wedding. Maui Makeup made everyone feel so beautiful. I could not recommend Liz and her team more!

Living in LA and eloping in Maui, choosing a makeup artist and hair stylist without being able to do a trial run was a bit scary. I saw their work on Instagram and decided to go for it. Right from the start, Dana was so communicative and always ready to answer any questions. She asked me to submit inspirational photos of hair and makeup looks I liked. Amberlee, my makeup artist, made my vision come to life! When she arrived at my hotel (early, by the way) she opened the photos that I had sent them so we could discuss what I wanted and be on the same page. I put all my faith in her, and when she was finished, I opened my eyes and was blown away! She killed it, but not only with my makeup, but with my hair as well! She was so much fun to be around as well and we had a great chat. I would highly, highly recommend Maui Makeup Artistry.

Liz and Amberlee saved my maternity shoot! I decided last minute the pictures would definitely look better with hair and makeup, so called Liz the day before for help. She was able to book me with Amberlee - who was INCREDIBLE. I rarely wear makeup, so really stressed a natural look. Liz and her amazing team came in to do all of my bridesmaids, some family members and my own hair and makeup on our wedding day - everyone chose their own hair style to suit their needs and had the same variation of makeup that complemented them best (we also did a trial for my rehearsal dinner!). Herself and the team are such great energy and really listened to the vision I had while I couldn't exactly voice it, we had the best time getting ready and everyone looked like movie stars. My mother and bonus mom were so happy with their looks - and the makeup did not feel cakey but stayed put throughout the sun baked ceremony and all night as we danced. Everyone looked like themselves, but the version that they wanted to see without looking off brand from each other - nothing heavy or fake at all and they only used products that made my very senstive skin feel great. To add to the teams credit -the wedding was also published in British Vogue!!

My husband and I had the opportunity to wed in Maui this past January at Sugar Beach Events. They provided a list of their preferred vendors and I of course went with Maui Makeup Artistry. Liz and her team were fun to work with and felt like a girls-day-in. Haha!! Liz knew what I wanted and what colors worked best for my skin and worked with a healing and peeling sun burn from the week prior. I love highlighting my eyes and she did just that and more! I received multiple compliments on the airbrushed finish which was definitely the "icing" to my dress My theme was vintage Hawaii and I was trying to grow out my hair to achieve more style. We went with a Hollywood look complete with a white feather hibiscus flower. Perfect. My bridesmaids and mom also had their hair and make up done and I had them choose their own style but also have a feather hibiscus flower but in yellow. Beautiful. Thank you thank you for your time, service and professionalism. It was fun getting to know everyone while we glammed up. Um can we do it again?!

Liz is everything you could ask for on your biggest day. My husband and I went to Hawaii to elope due to Covid and Liz was so key to helping us prepare for the day. She was constantly communicating with me working out budget, looks, and even rescheduling her trip to Lanai due to covid restrictions postponing our wedding . She was honestly the most comforting presence on such a wild day. Without friends, family and bridesmaids I was feeling overwhelmed and her attitude was so supportive and kind. We did a trial at my hotel the night before, set up in our room for the next day and kept me on track the entire morning. All that said my make up and hair were just perfection. She understands contour like no one else and brought out my natural beauty while adding a touch of glam and sophistication.

I looked through numerous makeup artists here on Maui before deciding who to go with, and they did not disappoint in the slightest! I really think Liz and her team are the most versatile you can find and really know how to do a wide variety of looks. I wanted some vintage/old Hollywood glam with some modern thrown in (I need shimmer), and I got exactly what I wanted! I think what helped me the most was coming up with pictures for examples to explain what I wanted, and it all came together! Liz and Amber did an amazing job!

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love working with Maui Makeup Artistry. The first experience I had with them was for my engagement shoot as a trial run for using them for my wedding day. They were so sweet and conversation during hair and makeup was enjoyable. I was so impressed with the outcome, I knew I had to use them for my wedding weekend! They did my hair and makeup for my welcome reception as well as the big day. I was seriously blown away every time they got me ready! They offer touch up service for those uncontrollable tears on your day, which I felt like is a must! Maui is mine and my husband’s happy place, so we visit quite often. Wow, the team at Muai Makeup Artistry blew me away! Melissa did my makeup (bride) with the Opulent package and I have never in my life looked so good - even my 3 year old daughter didn't recognize me at first and thought I was a princess. As a 45 year old first time bride I was anxious about how my hair and makeup would turn out but there was no reason to be anything but thrilled. It was astonishing how great the entire bridal party looked from the work of the team. Mother of the groom loved her hair and makeup and felt special on her son's special day. Lindsey and Amalie did incredible work for our hair and makeup for my wedding day. Amalie did an absolutely amazing job with everyone's hair, capturing the braiding and overall essence I envisioned for everyone's hair. Lindsey was just incredible as a person and a makeup artist. She kept the conversation going, had such a friendly and calming presence and made everyone feel beautiful. Especially my mom who was so nervous to get her makeup done. I can't thank both of these women enough for everything they did for us!

Liz and Anna are both so talented at makeup and hair, respectively. Not to mention, some of the sweetest women you will ever meet. As an Asian bride, I was especially apprehensive when it came to makeup because any time I've ever gotten my makeup done professionally, it has never turned out the way I wanted it. Liz made sure to walk through all of the options with me during the makeup trial and helped me with any uneasy feelings I had. We collaborated on what the best look would be to match the vibe of the wedding as well as what would make me feel like my most confident self. Anna was so accommodating as I ended up completely changing my hairstyle preference from our hair trial. She was able to improvise and gave me the perfect curls that softened over the course of the day which was exactly what I wanted. Needless to say, I was over the moon about how my hair and makeup turned out. Liz was even caring enough to calm my nerves as she was the first face I saw that day. Maui Makeup Artistry is the ultimate glam team. They nailed the vision for my look as well as my mother’s look. I wanted a soft makeup with romantic waves and my mother wanted to have her hair done in an Imelda Marcos-like updo. We’re Filipino and the vision was to have Asian beauty looks; mine was more doll-like with pick blush and eye makeup that opened up my eyes, mom’s was soft makeup with Imelda’s signature updo. Liz and Kim executed our makeup looks and were so sweet and professional. Shelby gave me the most beautiful, romantic waves and was able to fulfill my mother’s dream of having the Imelda Marcos updo to perfectly match her Mestiza gown. Thank you Liz, Kim and Shelby! You are the best and we felt so beautiful because of you!

I would highly recommend Liz and her team to take care of you on your special day. I was able to meet Liz and Shelby a year prior to our wedding, and we scheduled a trial run for my engagement photos. Everything turned out great and I was so excited to use them for our wedding. The day of our wedding, all 7 of us were taken care of quickly and everyone loved the outcome. Not only are they extremely talented artists but they are so friendly, fun and calming. I ended up booking them for my rehearsal dinner and wedding. I loved the fun style and makeup for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding hair and makeup was GORGEOUS! It stayed on all night which is impressive a climate like Hawaii. They also did the moms, maid of honor and flower girl. Everyone was so happy with their styles. I'm just starting to get some picture back and in love with their work. Everyone looks beautiful and flawless. I'm so happy with the results and highly recommend Maui Makeup Artistry. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I picked Liz to do my hair and makeup, from Maui Makeup Artistry. I was so pleased with her! The package I chose included a trial for hair and makeup, and also included airbrush makeup for the day of the wedding. She keeps everything natural looking, which I loved, as I wanted to still look like me on my wedding day. Only one of my bridesmaids got their hair done (for bridesmaids she charges $125 for hair and $125 for makeup). My mom got her makeup done by Liz and my mother in law got her makeup and hair done. Everyone looked beautiful and we all felt beautiful and were all very happy with Liz's work!

I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair and makeup. I just know what I want and I know how I like it done. I was given a few MUA to check out to book for my wedding. I just didn't like any of them. I ended up Googling MUA in Maui and went through them one by one. I came across Maui Makeup Artistry and was finally surprised. The day of my wedding she came and she made me look so beautiful. I remember looking at myself in the mirror and thinking, 'wow, she looks gorgeous. like a magazine' and then I felt so silly because it was me. I can honestly say that I've never felt so beautiful in my life. She really created my bridal look beautifully and I absolutely loved my hair. I used her two days later for a photoshoot. She created this fierce sexy look that I wanted and she nailed. I most definitely recommend her and her team to anyone that need a MUA for their wedding, photoshoot or whatever. They are amazing and make you look flawless!!!

Liz was sooo great! She did my mom, my bridesmaids (3) and I's makeup while her assistance did our hair. They both did such a wonderful job. I had contacted a few people in order to find the best person for the job. Liz called me to discuss things and I knew then and there that I wanted her for my wedding day. She has such a great personality, we just clicked and I could tell from her hair and makeup photos that she is extremely talented. She made all of us ladies feel relaxed and we just had such a great time while we were all getting ready. Everyone said that all of us looked fantastic. She not only made me look stunning, but also made the most important ladies in my life look stunning too. One of our guests had even made a comment that it was nice that it looked like the bridesmaids had gotten wonderful attention too, and not just me and that we all look amazing! :) LOVE IT! On another note, there was one point in the getting ready process that I started to feel very overwhelmed....Oh my gosh, I'm getting married!!!! lol Liz was more then fantastic in that moment. She got me off my chair and got me to jump/dance it out. lol It was exactly what I needed and I was laughing my head off again in no time. My Maid of Honour said that for her, the amazing makeup and hair was secondary to how Liz helped me "dance it out." It was priceless. THANK YOU LIZ!!! You're amazing! :)

Liz from Maui Makeup Artistry did my hair and make up and my sister's makeup for my wedding, and I absolutely loved what she did! I didn't have a concrete idea of what I wanted, but she was able to take my ideas and pictures and create exactly what I wanted! I have never felt so beautiful, and she was really great to work with! She did my hair and makeup trial which I loved, but she tweaked a few things for the wedding look and I loved it even more! I would highly recommend Liz and Maui Makeup Artistry to anyone for their wedding in Maui!

As an Asian American bride it's hard to find a makeup artist who won't a) make me look super Asian, or b) emphasize all the wrong features. Liz did my makeup in a really natural but beautiful way. She is full of great recommendations, and listens to what you want. Anna, who does hair, is amazing. She made this beautiful intricate hairdo for me that looked like the pictures I showed her, but even better because it was styled for my face and dress style. They are the sweetest people ever, and extremely beautiful. After they work with you, you will feel as beautiful as they are. They are fantastic and I highly recommend them :). Also, compared to other makeup artists on the island they are reasonably priced.

She organized a spa party for the day before the wedding for us, and did the makeup the day of. She was great to work with. I was very pleased with the end result and everybody who had her makeup done by Liz looked great!

Liz and her assistant were great! They did airbrush makeup for myself, my MoH and my mother and everything turned out beautifully! I can't thank them enough for making us all feel the prettiest we've ever felt! I recommend her to anyone getting married in Maui!

Liz is wonderful to work with and I never knew I could be so beautiful! Liz is so personable and get to work with. She is so talented. I got my whole wedding party and the moms done and her rates are very reasonable. She did exceptional work and we all looked fantastic. It was very photogenic and great for our outdoor afternoon wedding. She used great products and the makeup lasted through the whole day and night. I would recommend her to everyone!!!!
