One of the best pieces of wedding advice I received was to pick a photographer who I was comfortable with as the photographer will spend a lot of time with you on your wedding day....
From my first phone call with Maura I knew she was warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. After meeting Maura in person, I knew that spending time with her would be like spending time with a friend- a really talented friend who takes amazing photos.
Maura was professional, responsive, and organized. Three very important traits for a wedding photographer. She was able to meet me before the wedding to go over my must have list. I told Maura how much I loved candid photos. Maura really listened to me! Her background is in photo journalism so she was able to help arrange our first look, wedding party, family, and couple shots to be very natural. She choose great locations at our venue to get the best light and background. The photos came out beyond amazing. Maura was able to take a wide variety of photos from different vantage points. We had so many photo choices, which made it feel like we had a second photographer!
The quality of Maura’s work is unparalleled. She took the most beautiful wedding photos throughout the whole day. She blended in during the ceremony and at the reception. I didn’t expect the amount of pictures she took because I hardly noticed her there! There were so many hidden moments that Maura was able to get because she was so unobtrusive. With this style, she was able to beautifully capture the range of emotions throughout our wedding day. Looking at her photos enabled us to relive our wedding day over and over again.

ings aspects that helped us choose Maura was her extensive background and experience. I loved that she was a Freelance Photographer, and not just a "wedding photographer." Another great thing about Maura was that she did not have a time limit for her services. She came to my house to take pictures of the bridal party getting ready, which was something that not all photographers offer. Maura asked me for a list of specific photographs I wanted, and she got each one. Even during the event, I asked her for more specific pictures, and again caught every moment I wanted. I am in agreement with all of the other reviewers that Maura was almost non-visible on my wedding day. She took fantastic candid shots, something very important to me as well. My husband and I ended up with 1500 pictures of our wedding day. To put it lightly, it was very difficult to choose only 60 pictures or our album! We would absolutely use Maura again and recommend her to anyone!

and prices reasonable. The day of your wedding, she is available as early as you'd like and stays the whole time, no 6-8-10 hour cut off. She stays behind the scene and grabs the "real" candid photos to remember your day, and will do any of the portraits you want. I am 100% satisfied with her and her photos.

rom her samples. She was kind enough to say yes, she'd come down and shoot our wedding. From the minute we got there, Maura was incredible in the way she took pics. We had a rehearsal dinner and party, she was there, yet you didn't know it, we had a pre wedding party with the bridal party in our hotel room and Maura shot that as well and once again, you really didn't know it. Our wedding, she took over a thousand pictures, and everyone at our wedding commented, "you know, we really didn't even know she was there, she was so unobtrusive". They were right, I had no idea she had taken so many pictures and now that I've seen them, what in incredible experience. We watched other weddings while we were in Key West and were horrified by what we saw from a photographer perspective. We witnessed them being in the way, trying to run the show, stopping the bride and groom on their first walk down the aisle as a married couple. We were appalled. Go with Maura, and you'll have an incredible experience and incredible pics.
