Not only is she a professional and an expert at what she does, she is SO kind and thoughtful throughout the whole process with email and text check-ins, advice and even sneak peeks the very next day after my wedding. I am so happy I chose Maura Jane Photography for my wedding. Maura was referred to me by my venue and wedding planner. As soon as I saw the website and looked at photos of previous weddings, I knew I wanted to have MJP for my big day. I fell in love with the style of the photos-- very romantic, vibrant, and elegant. After finalizing our contract, we received a book in the mail from MJP going over what to expect on the day-- so thoughtful! My husband and I live out of state and MJP worked with us when our original plan for our engagement photos had to be postponed due to weather. Maura’s online portfolio speaks for itself – the photos are breathtaking and exceptional. It was an easy decision to inquire about availability for our wedding. When we had our introductory call, Maura asked thoughtful questions about us and priorities for our photos/event. We hoped for sunset photos with snowy mountains in the background. Her next question was timeline, which brought out her gentle spirit and command of all things related to photography. The original timeline didn’t work for the winter sunset. She immediately checked online for sunset times and presented a few alternate timelines with tradeoffs for each of them. Maura clearly understood our hopes and how to make that happen for us. There was no question, Maura was right for us. Our engagement photos were stunning. Knowing our love of the outdoors and hiking, Maura suggested a beautiful spot in a state park for sunset photos. We were nervous about the session because we typically hide from cameras, but we had a great time. Maura made us feel so comfortable. We spent nearly all of the session laughing and smiling. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. As a result, the photos really captured our personalities. We received so many text and social media messages about how spectacular the photos in the sneak peek were. One friend called to say Maura captured the “love and light” as well as the “joy” in our relationship. It set an incredibly high bar for measuring our wedding photos, which they exceeded. Our wedding photos are magical. They are wondrous and exceptional. Our friends and family have only seen Maura’s social media posts, but we’ve already received messages saying: “absolutely incredible”, “absolutely FABULOUS”, and “amongst the best wedding photos I have EVER seen”. They haven’t even seen some of the best. Maura went above and beyond to make this happen. She arrived early with her team the day of the wedding because the radar suggested rain and snow could interfere with the plan. Maura and the team kept an eye on the weather while calmly and positively suggesting we move up the schedule, if possible. They were on it. There were also unknowns with family photos because of some health issues. Maura was so supportive and sensitive to these issues on our wedding day. She was attuned to the needs of all who were being photographed, and visually checked-in with me to see if I agreed with her assessment on wrapping it up or taking more photos. Hannah and Alissia were equally thoughtful. Maura knew the wedding venue well, and already knew the spots where we could make sure to get photos that included the surrounding mountains and later the wonderful sunset. Again, she had asked us the right questions in advance about what we hoped for and made a plan based on our conversation. There are so many things that set Maura apart as a photographer and human. For me, a photo of me and my mom in our sneak peek portrays how exceptional Maura is as a person. She knew this would be special for me, and a gift to receive early. This was a truly personal and thoughtful gesture. We received photos that exceeded our hopes and dreams. Our experience working with Maura Jane Photography was full of joy and happiness. I have been following Maura Jane Photography on social media for over 2 years before our recent wedding in May 2022. Their work is so romantic and beautiful, I knew we did not want to compromise when it came to our wedding photos! So, I was ecstatic when my wedding planner said that they were available for our wedding date! To say that they are the absolute best wedding photographer team in the Southwest is an understatement! Not only is their work artistic, creative and captivating, but Maura is so thoughtful and professional. As soon as we booked with them, Maura reached out to us by email and phone to get to know us personally. She then sent us the sweetest care package that included a detailed “wedding handbook” to help guide us through the entire process from our engagement photos to our actual wedding day! For our engagement session in March, our photographer Sarah recommended a location at White Mesa. Even though it was a very cold day (with a little bit of snow on the ground), Sarah made us so comfortable, she had us laughing through our shivers; producing the most stunning photos! When it came to our wedding day, Sarah and Hannah were so patient, kind, and understanding with our big family. We are so in love with every photo from our wedding day. Everything we were hoping was captured, absolutely was, and more! Maura and her team are amazing! We tried them out for our engagement pictures and fell in love with her team, so much so, we then hired them for the wedding in Tennessee! I have never felt comfortable taking pictures, but they made it so easy. They captured our wedding in such a fun way! Loved seeing all of the candid pictures and all the personalities of our guests. Also, we got our pictures back so fast!! We even got a sneak peak of over 100 pictures that weekend! My friends couldn't believe that we already had pictures back. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Maura went above and beyond for our wedding. She was flexible and very helpful when we decided to cancel our large wedding and have a private ceremony. Maura and her kick-ass female crew were absolutely amazing for our engagement photos and wedding photos. But the thing was, she not only took THE MOST AMAZING pictures ever.. she helped me with my timeline for the day of, sent this beautiful book on pretty much “how to be a bride” (I needed all the help I could get!), answered ALL of my questions (picture related and not), and just completely made me so comfortable on my wedding day and leading up to it. When we got engaged in 2019 the one thing I knew for certain was that I had to use this team as our wedding photographers. Hannah and Rachael were absolutely amazing! we met with Hannah for our engagement session and she was so easy to work with. She made it easy and so fun to be photographed. Maura was the photographer that I knew I just had to have so I reached out to her right after getting engaged in the fall of 2018 for our early spring 2020 wedding (which obviously didn't happen). My husband and I got married in 2020 and had ourselves a proper masked and social distanced, COVID wedding. I am a nurse so I was incredibly worried/focused on health and safety of our guests at our wedding. We required masks of all our guests, and even our bridal party (after the ceremony). Some people thought it was odd that we didn’t just postpone our wedding, but Steven and I had been waiting nine years for our special wedding, and we weren’t going to postpone. Maura and her team were incredibly helpful when we had to change our wedding venue due to the pandemic and had to “create” from scratch our venue on a blank canvas of family property in the mountains. Maura and Hannah captured the natural beauty of the property and found a separate location to take bridal party photos before the ceremony so that we would have a vast array of photos with different scenery. They were both so positive and jovial the day of the wedding, I could not have asked for better people or photos. Our wedding photos have slowly taken over the decor in our new home and I could not be happier about it!! I would recommend Maura’s photography 100 times over! Don’t wait, go book her and her team!

Maura Jane Photography caught my eye with their soft and romantic feel. From the beginning of planning, Maura was very responsive and continued to be throughout the planning process. In a year with so much uncertainty, we changed our wedding date twice and went from a 100person venue to a small backyard wedding. Maura allowed us to downgrade our package and our photographer, Sarah, made all the changes work. Our photos are beautiful and captured the spirit of our wedding. One of the things I love is the access to an online photo gallery where you can go to download all of your photos. This is extremely convenient. The professionalism of this group was outstanding. I hired Maura for our engagement session and wedding which we ended up having to cancel. A Forever Memory of a Perfect Day Maura, Sarah and Hannah were an absolute dream to work with on the day of our wedding and the second day wedding shoot. Nathan, my husband, and I got engaged a little over 2 years ago, and Maura was the first vendor we contacted. We have always loved her beautifully bright wedding photography style and we wanted to make sure we booked her and her team for our wedding. Even though there were several changes to our wedding, Maura always kept a positive attitude during a rather stressful time. We decided on a mini-moon at Los Poblanos. Since we were staying at Los Poblanos we were given the option to take photos on their gorgeous property, and when we presented Maura with the idea of a second day wedding shoot and she was immediately game. Everything about our wedding day and second day shoot was PERFECT. All of these perfect details and moments were artfully captured by Maura, Sarah and Hannah. All three of them have an eye for unique and special moments, that Nathan and I will cherish for a lifetime. They spent time setting up the first look, got beautiful pictures with our grandparents and family, caught all the little moments during our ceremony, and took fun and beautiful pictures of our wedding party and us. Not only are they talented photographers, they are professional and willing to help make your wedding day as special as possible. Even if that means taking a quick detour on the way to the reception, to get a really cool picture in front of our future home. Maura and her team took time to get to know us so it truly felt like we were working with our friends. The wedding day was amazing, but let me tell you the second shoot was so incredible, fun, and relaxed. I am so happy we were able to do this because I got to wear the most beautiful gown I have ever owned, my handsome husband did a sweet outfit change, and we got to truly enjoy each other's company, as husband and wife, in a romantic setting while GORGEOUS photos were being taken of us. Everyone should have a second day wedding photoshoot because there is no stress of getting back to family and friends, and you get some really amazing photos. To sum it is up, Maura and her team are artfully talented, professional and kind. I would recommend them to any couple getting married because their pictures are beautiful and most importantly they have an eye for capturing every special moment no matter how big or small.
