I surprised myself when I booked a boudoir shoot with Maven Jade and let me just say - best decision ever! I really wanted to do something that would surprise my husband as a part of my wedding gift to him, and this was absolutely perfect. I was definitely nervous but within minutes of meeting Shari, I felt at ease. She guided me through the entire shoot and made me feel comfortable and confident. The pictures came out better than I could’ve imagined and my husband absolutely loved the book. I highly recommend doing this!

Where do I even begin with this review!?!? To explain how over-the-moon-happy I am with my photos, my book, and Shari as an artist and as a person simply cannot be put into words. But I am going to do my best here! Anyone who is looking for a boudoir artist, please read this and know that SHARI IS THE ONE. She has a beautiful heart and is insanely talented. I had my photos taken by her is 2019 and then the pandemic hit and we had to push off our wedding until 2022. I had a lot of unfortunate things going on personally that delayed me finishing my project with her until closer to the wedding date - she was very understanding of that and patient with me and in the end overdelivered on every aspect of my experience. During the timeline of the photo shoot, the process of making my album, and her actually visiting me for a quick couple minutes to say congratulations on my wedding day (yes this happened! I begged her to please come see me if she was in the area and it was the best surprise when she actually made it happen!), we had a lot of time to get close and for me to see how dearly she cares about her clients and how passionate she is about her work. When I did my photoshoot, I was a little nervous, but she instantly made me feel relaxed, confident, and shortly into the shoot, we were making each other laugh like we had known each other for years. The most important thing to Shari is empowering women to feel comfortable and confident in their own beautiful natural bodies. She will take photos of you that make you feel on top of the world and like a rockstar. She knows just the right angles, poses, etc. and will tell you exactly what to do if you are lost. I had no idea what I was doing and she guided me the whole way! I also had the privilege of seeing her do fun, sexy, photos at the BOLI soiree of all the brides-to-be dressed up in their fancy outfits. And not to sound cheesy, but it was heartwarming watching the magical effect Shari had on women that you could tell were nervous at first but then totally relaxed and having fun once she started shooting and guiding them. She will go above and beyond every step of the way. There are many examples I can give but one in particular I am forever grateful for and want to share….when I finally picked my photos, I wanted to change a couple black and whites to color, but she needed the original files to make that adjustment for me. Since it had been so long since the pre-pandemic shoot and she was in the midst of changing studios, the photos were in her storage unit and she would have to search for them. Because she wanted me to be the happiest possible, with zero hesitation, she literally made time to go on a treasure hunt and dug up all my original files! It was my fault for taking so long but she did it with a smile because she wanted me to be happy with every photo! And once I received the book in the mail…OMG the magical feeling I had turning every page. It was more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed, even after seeing the digital proofs. The quality of the actual book itself and the resolution of the pages. I was so giddy with excitement, it took everything in me to keep it a secret from my husband that week before the wedding day. Thank you Shari for EVERYTHING! You are one of a kind and an incredible human. I am so grateful to have met you and to have all these sexy photos to keep forever. My husband Joe tells me to thank you again every time he looks through it! 🥰

Shari was awesome to work with and my photos came out amazing !! I felt so sexy and she made me feel so comfortable in my own skin. I had 8 outfit changes and it was so hard to pick the pictures I wanted to put in the album. My husband loved it and this will be a memory I will never forget !! Thank you Shari!!!

Did a boudoir shoot and made an album with the photos as my husband’s wedding gift. Shari had me laughing the whole time and made me feel so comfortable & sexy in front of the camera even though I was initially self-conscious & nervous. I loved that she had me pose in several different outfits and was happy to shoot some tasteful nudes. So yeah - I was basically naked in front of someone I just met, and I couldn’t have cared less - that’s how amazing she was. If you’re unsure, just DO IT! Not only did my husband love them, it made ME feel good and empowered.

If you’re thinking about doing a boudoir photo shoot, look no further than Shari at Maven Jade! I’m the most self conscious person ever, and super private, and have honestly NEVER liked a photo of myself!!! That all changed today!!!! For the first time ever in my life, she made me feel and look sexy, hot, confident, and beautiful. I couldn’t believe for the life of me that I was looking at photos of ME! She’s a one woman show and truly cares about making you look your best! She’s personable, super honest, down to earth, and supportive, and she’s sooooo much fun, and keeps everything you do private! Even during small moments when you’re feeling self conscious, she changes that instantly and shows you the most flattering photos of yourself! She’s also super affordable compared to others and offers so much more than others for the price! Run, don’t walk to her! You will not regret it!

There is literally no one better than Shari! First off being someone who's a size 16 and and so uncomfortable with their body, Shari made this whole entire experience absolutely amazing. I have never loved my body more! She knows exactly how to pose you and make you feel comfortable the whole time. I went into this being so nervous I wanted to cancel then to top it off I got my period a week early. I still went through with the shoot and I STILL felt amazing. I 1000% reccomend Shari to anyone whether your super comfortable or super uncomfortable with your body. Would love to do another shoot with her!

Never in a million years would I have thought that I would ever do something like this. I hesitated booking it and then was like you know what let's do this. I was soooo nervous the morning of and was like oh boy I am going to be so awkward and terrible at this. Boy was I wrong! I had so much fun with Shari, she made it so easy and made me feel absolutely amazing! I am a bit self conscious but on that day she made me feel beautiful with not a worry in the world. She was so easy to talk to and it felt like I was with someone I knew for years! I just had my shoot last week and I can't wait to see my images! Lets just start with saying that I never thought that I would ever do something like this. I booked it thinking well.... Im going to give it a shot. I was so nervous, putting off everything, and then I had to go there. I went there and it was the complete opposite. I had so much fun with Shari, she was such a down to earth person and made you feel like you could do this all the time. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. She almost makes you forget that your taking pictures and no matter what makes you feel amazing. I just had my shoot with her and I cannot wait to see what she sends me back! Such an uplifting and powerful day! Everyone should do it for their wedding or a surprise for their significant other. I cant wait and not just to show him but to see them myself!

I don’t even know where to start. Working with Shari was such an AMAZING experience. I was so nervous leading up to my appointment but the second I got there, I felt so relaxed with her. She’s funny and makes great conversation. After the shoot was over, I walked out feeling so good about myself. And not only did the pictures get to me exactky when she promised, but they were absolutely flawless. I couldn’t believe that was ME! Shari did an incredible job and if I could do it all over again, I would! If you’re on the fence about booking, DO IT! Worth every single penny.

I can't even express in words just how amazing Shari was to work with. I got to meet Shari at the first annual BOLI summer soiree, and I won her "Take it All" Package (even though I was already booked with her anyway!) I did not think going into this appointment that I would be able to do it without taking a couple shots, but Shari made me feel so comfortable the entire shoot. Every single photo came out amazing! I had such a difficult time choosing 35 pictures for my book out of the over 400 proofs I received. I can't thank Shari enough for the ease of the whole process, and the absolutely stunning photos she took. I can't wait to have an excuse to use her again!! :)

Honestly where do I begin?! The nerves walking into shari’s studio are real.. but they quickly diminish. She coordinates your outfits, poses you at your best angel, and makes sure you are completely comfortable! Will be using her again, but for baby pictures.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. Shari is, simply putting it, amazing. I had two kids in less than two years so I was very shy and insecure going into this shoot and Shari had me leaving feeling like a model. And I dont mean only in the photo sense, but her confidence boosting positive comments make you feel beautiful. If I could have a million photo shoots by her I would. Her work exceeded my expectations, she knows exactly what poses work, what outfits would look best, and the book she put together for me is so tastefully done. She gets a 11/10 from me !

Do yourself a favor and book Shari now! I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing and creative Shari is. This is something I thought I would never have the guts to do and the whole way going to the appointment I felt so nervous but as soon as I stepped into her studio and started talking to Shari all my nerves disappeared. Shari has a way about her that makes you feel so comfortable and confident! The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. During the shoot we talked a lot and laughed and its as if you never had anything to be worried about. When I received my pictures I could not believe how much I loved pretty much all 400 of them! I originally did this as a gift for my future husband but it turns out this experience gave me so much more then that! Shari is the best there is and you will not be disappointed! I can never thank Shari enough for making me feel so comfortable and giving me the confidence that I lacked. I could not recommend her enough!

I had my boudoir shoot with Shari earlier this year, it was the most exhilarating experiences I have ever had! Shari makes you feel so comfortable without even trying, something about her and the studio makes you feel safe to let loose and really be yourself. I was so anxious to see my photos- because let’s face it most of us don’t like the way we look in photos to begin with, so pictures of us half dressed- I was so sure I wouldn’t like some of them, but boy was I so wrong! With every photo I scrolled through I was amazed, I couldn’t believe it was me! My husband absolutely loves his “little black book” and it is something that we will have forever. I highly recommend Shari, guarantee you won’t find anyone better!!!!!

Shari is amazing! This was the best experience every girl should try it whether you’re getting married or not! I was pretty nervous for the shoot so I brought my good friend & within a couple minutes I was super comfortable. We were laughing and having a great time, and I have never “modeled” before but Shari helped position me to get those perfect shots. I would do this shoot once a week if I could! The photos are amazing, Shari is beyond talented, the studio is great and has soo many different backgrounds for the pictures. My hubby loved the photos. I think I’ll go back for a sexy Valentine’s Day shoot!

What can I say, Shari is amazing!!!! I was apprehensive in the days leading up to my shoot. As soon as I walked in all of that faded. Shari makes you feel so comfortable and makes it fun!!! Her studio is warm and inviting. As you continue with your shoot you don’t even realize your half naked, lol!! My husband loved the book I had made for him as a wedding present. I can’t begin to tell you how amazing of an experience it was working with Shari! She made you feel like a million bucks even though I was nervous as could be before, and was comfortable within minutes. The shots she got were awesome I still couldn’t believe that was me lol. I think everyone should do this atleast once as a gift for someone or for themselves as I did, got some shots hanging in my master bathroom. So worth the money!!

There aren't enough words to describe how amazing Shari is. Doing a boudoir shoot with Maven Jade Photography was one of my best decisions during wedding planning. I seriously had to step out of my comfort zone for this one, but I am so happy I did. What I thought would be and uncomfortable situation turned out to be the most comfortable photoshoot ever! Shari has that personality that can make ANYONE feel right at home. She’s very caring, considerate and it’s very apparent she loves what she does. All of that made the experience that much better. I could not express enough to my friends how they all needed to do this shoot.. not just for their new soon to be spouse but for themselves. Let me start by saying I HATE my picture beinng taken. Give me a selfie and a filter and Im your girl. I showed up for my boudoir shoot nervous, scared and didnt really know what to expect from Shari. I barely feel comfortable being half naked in front of myself let alone a stranger. Within MINUTES Shari had me laughing, smiling and comfortable(minus walking in heels, because no one can work miracles like that). She never once had me feeling awkward, shy, or uneasy. We actually had the best time. Hell I was doing handstand and eating donuts.Literally. What more could I ask for? Im not sure who loved the photos more- my husband or myself. I literally look at them ALL THE TIME. I love the confidence she was able to bring out in my with her fun, calming nature. So happy she was brought to my attention-10/10 would do another shoot with Shari.

Today i had a Boudoir photo shoot with Shari, as a wedding gift to my fiance. I couldn't eat the whole day in anticipation, i was so nervous. I've gained weight over the years and im not 100% comfortable with my body, but i figured with the wedding this is my one chance and i should do it for him.... However, Shari made it so comfortable to the point where i was walking around talking to her, while in my underwear and didnt even notice. She is so professional, but still seems like your hanging out with a friend. I'm so awkward in pictures but she made it fun and east. I cannot wait to see how the photos came out and make my album.

I can’t say enough about how great Shari is. I’m a total dork and can be pretty shy/conservative. Shari made me feel like a rockstar. After a few minutes, my walls were down and it was like having a fun photo shoot with a friend. When I saw the photos I was FLOORED! I couldn’t believe how good they looked. They were tasteful and she totally got the vibe I was going for with each look. I’m getting married this weekend and gave the book to my fiancé last night. The look on his face was priceless. I recently had my Boudoir photo shoot with Shari to give my fiancé the day of our wedding, and of course I was nervous. It Shari made me feel so comfortable! She was amazing with how she captured certain looks in areas I wouldn't even think of. I felt so relaxed and myself around her. If you had told me a year ago that I would be doing a boudoir shoot and that I would love it and that I would wanna share these pictures with the world - I would have told you that you were OUT OF YOUR MIND! And up until last week I was SERIOUSLY considering cancelling. Boy am I glad I kept the appointment! It was one of the most liberating, fun and amazing things I’ve ever done for MYSELF (let alone for my future husband) I shot in Shari’s new studio (located in Plainview) it is different from her other locations (Chelsea mansion and the house in Oyster Bay) but I am BEYOND pleased with my photographs. They are clean and crisp and I’m still shocked that it’s me in the pictures!!! (Fun bonus: build yourself a killer “I’m sexy” playlist and you can Bluetooth right into her sound system to get that extra boost of confidence!) we shot for 3 hours and my portfolio contains 9 “looks”!!! Shari was great to communicate with throughout the booking and the week of the shoot. meeting her was like BAM instant friendship (I mean she is seeing you practically naked). I thought I would be freaked out but after a few snaps of the camera it was fine (this is her JOB). She is chill - fun - and she’s a genius to get me to look THAT good in a photograph!!! Shari is an excellent choice for boudoir photography!

Shari is an absolute master in her craft. When I booked my boudoir shoot, I wasn't sure what to expect and I was of course nervous; but after talking to Shari on the phone, and then meeting her in person, I felt so incredibly comfortable and had the BEST TIME EVER. It was the most fun 3 hours of my life!!! Being VERY self conscience and having body image issues, all of that did not even cross my mind for one second throughout our entire shoot. I felt so beautiful and so confident and sexy and could not believe I was doing half of the things I was doing. Her artistic style and amazing personality makes you feel like a Victoria Secret model. There was a moment where she showed me a quick glimpse at one of my pictures on her camera, and I could not even believe that it was me. Then, as I was posing in the window, I could see myself in the reflection and it really made me a little emotional. It was an incredibly raw and bold thing for me to do and it was so liberating. I have a new found respect for myself and my body and the feeling is indescribable. I can't thank Shari enough for how much fun this was. I highly recommend adding boudoir photos to your wedding journey! Shari is warm, funny and a total cool girl! I cannot wait for my fiance to see these photos!!! Thank you Shari!

We booked mavenjade for our engagement photo shoot and everything from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. Shari was so easy going and made the entire experience so comfortable for both my fiancé and myself. My fiancé hates being photographed but thanks to Shari after a few minutes he felt so comfortable and was even making up new poses by the end of the shoot. Im not the most creative bride to be- so I was so thankful that Shari was full of ideas! She had a vision and was able to bring it to life so beautifully. The photos came out more beautiful then I ever could have imagined! Shari even took the time to smooth out some little bug bites I had on my legs in all of the pictures. I was fortunate to book my boudoir photo shoot with Shari. After hearing so highly of her, I was not disappointed! Boudoir was something I never thought I'd do in a million years because, like most of us, I don't consider myself sexy and I think I'm awkward. But I figured I'd try this out and Shari helped me every step of the way! I ordered a bunch of different "outfits" and she helped pick out what to wear and in what order. She made me feel super comfortable and before I knew it, I was walking around with her half naked just chit-chatting like we were old friends! She helped give me directions, gave me tips and strategies for posing & had me smiling & laughing the whole time. I felt super great when we were done with the photo session but I still didn't think I'd end up liking many photos of myself. But I was pleasantly surprised and happy with so many 0f the photos that I ended up having such a hard time narrowing down which photos to buy so I bought the whole set so I could put together a better album for my future husband & then figured he can look through the rest of them on his computer whenever he wanted :P HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHARI!! Do it, you won't regret it <3

Shari is the most amazing photographer I've ever met! She shot my engagement party and bridal shower and I've never been happier with how the pictures came out. Shari had came to our engagement party & was absolutely amazing! I felt as if she was part of the family, SO comfortable to work with! She took beautiful pictures that I will cherish forever! I truly adore her & her work!!

I did my shoot with Shari and she is amazing!! Shari made me feel so comfortable I couldn't believe it. I am very self conscious and she made me feel like a whole new woman. My pictures came out completely breathtaking. My husband was astounded with how beautiful the pictures were. I am looking forward to using Shari for future shoots.

I don’t even know where to begin with Shari from Maven Jade. What an amazing experience!! I was so nervous going into this photo shoot, I was literally shaking on the way over. Within 5 minutes Shari had me feeling like a million bucks, I was having the best time laughing and really enjoying myself. I honestly felt like I was hanging out with one of my best friends. Being comfortable really helped make me relax, and being relaxed makes for better photos. The entire process was fun, uplifting and gave me the biggest confidence boost – something every bride could use! The book she made for me to give as my wedding gift to my husband is unbelievable. He could not get over how amazing and great I looked (I couldn’t believe it myself).
