Max Caven Photography

Max and Nate were so fun to work with! We chose Max Caven photography because he truly has an affinity towards Minnesota’s North Shore and Gunflint Trail just like we do. We wanted someone to capture the amazing scenery in which our engagement photos and wedding took place. He did just that! We LOVE our “adventure engagement session,” which included a trip up the north shore, donuts in Grand Marais, and canoeing up the Gunflint Trail. He’s extremely easy to get along with and made us feel super comfortable! Max went above and beyond to made sure he brought our vision to life!

Max was an absolute joy to work with. He was flexible with setting up meeting times considering we live out of town. He was easy to get in contact with and was prompt at sending responses. When the wedding day came around, Max was on time and great at herding cats. He kept the photo schedule running on time while also capturing some magical moments and having fun with guests and bridal party alike.

Max Caven is the bomb! He shot our Christmas wedding December 8th and we could not be happier:) He made us feel so comfortable and gave us great direction. He did a super job of keeping us on schedule and organizing our big families for group photos. Max is really fun to be around and his energy makes the whole day more fun! His second shooter, Dusty was also a joy! We have seen a few photos so far and they are drop dead gorgeous, exactly what we pictured when we planned our winter wedding. Max is incredibly talented and we cannot recommend him enough!!!!

Max was so much fun to work with! Wedding days can be stressful, but Max made taking photos so easy! Our photos turned out so awesome, we absolutely love them! My fiancé and I did an engagement shoot with Max at Gooseberry Falls. Max did a fantastic job and we were so pleased with how the pictures turned out. He made us feel so comfortable and was very receptive to how we desired our pictures to be taken. He got our photos returned to us very quickly and the quality was awesome! The only issue was getting a response via email, when we were planning details I didn't hear back from Max for over a week. But when I wrote him on Facebook messenger he responded right away! Overall, he was so wonderful to work with though. We loved how he went above and beyond to get us some fantastic photos. Would definitely recommend!

Max is wonderful! He is personable and very easy to work with. He did everything we asked in regards to photo ideas, and was more than patient in making sure all our wants and needs were taken care of!

If I could give infinite stars, I would! Max has been nothing but professional and courteous from our first meeting to the wedding itself! We live in Saint Paul, and Max actually drove from Duluth at an ungodly hour to take sunrise engagement pictures with us at Minnehaha Falls. He is talented and delivers quality photographs, yet also is reasonably priced compared to other photographers in the area. He directs each shot incredibly well, so my husband and I felt comfortable and like we could be natural for the pictures. His second shooter, Mason, was a huge asset on the day of the wedding, too. There were many moments that they helped us capture, such as the first look at Temperance River or our first moments as a married couple. They were also accommodating about the slippery, wet conditions-- Max knew just how to handle the moody July day. Max showed a few sneak peeks, and we cannot wait for the rest. Overall, Max and Mason nailed it, and we could not be happier with their services! I would recommend them to everyone for the reasonable price, professional service, and incredible talent. Having Max Caven Photography capture our wedding day was by far one of the best decisions made while planning for our special day. Max is very professional, easy to communicate with, naturally talented and an all around joy to work with. He made the whole process very easy on our part and did everything he could to get the perfect photos. Max Caven Photography was absolutely amazing. Max was extremely professional and courteous. He went above and beyond to make sure he got every shot we asked for, and even better ones we didn't think of. His communication was fantastic, from the pre wedding meeting, down to making sure his positioning during the ceremony was ok with our minister on the big day. Max and his assistant did an amazing job! They were there all day and were constantly taking pictures. They would take pictures we requested also. I would definitely recommend them! Our pictures are fantastic!

Max was such a great photographer!!! He and his crew are just awesome, and they produce such amazing work. Our engagement session with Max and his videographer went great, and we loved the pictures! On the day of our wedding they arrived early and stayed with us well into the dance. The pictures are more than what I could have wanted, and we love them! His team is so good at what they do, a 20 picture slide show was up and running on our dessert table just after the dinner was served! We've gotten so many compliments already and cannot wait to get prints!!

We went w/ a wedding package. Max included an engagement session before the wedding. He gave us a CD and online gallery for both engagement and wedding pictures-which is wonderful, because then you can print the pictures anywhere you desire, and you have EVERY picture! The downfall-during our engagement pictures, it was snowing, and during our wedding pictures, it was really sunny. He didn't fix up/edit the pictures, so we have a lot of snow blotches on our faces, and a lot of sun spots in our wedding pictures. He also became impatient w/ guests and family members. Otherwise, we got a lot of great shots, and all of our indoor pictures look wonderful, and at a great price!
