Max Powers DJ & Ambiance Lighting LLC

My husband and I hired DJ Max Powers to be our wedding DJ/MC in August 2017. We met with him once and then corresponded via emails and text messages. We were pleased with him, all our guests enjoyed themselves and spoke well of Max Powers. He definitely had everyone on the dance floor. My husband created a list of 'must-play' songs we wanted DJ Max Powers to play during our reception. We understand he is experienced and knows how to get wedding guests on the dance floor, we just wished he incorporated more of the songs on our list we wanted played.

I don't even know what to say other than HIRE HIM. Max was AMAZING. We had both DJ services and uplighting done by him. He was great from start to finish. We had an interesting venue with very few decorations, so the uplights were very important and he did the most amazing job. The place looked STUNNING. Everyone was saying how beautiful and romantic the venue was which was owed in large part, to Max. As for the DJ services he was GREAT. He had everyone out dancing and having fun nothing was cheesy or overdone. My fiancé and I changed our processional song last minute and he executed it PERFECTLY. We were also worried about our first dance as we didn't have time to practice, so we asked him to cut the song a little short and he did a great job so it didn't feel rushed, and we didn't make total fools of ourselves. His prices are VERY reasonable, we shopped around a bit before we found him and you get an amazing deal. We don't have our professional photos yet, but will edit with pictures when we do.

DJ Max Powers did a great job with our wedding from start to finish. Great communication leading up to the event and he did a fantastic job with the lighting! He really knew how to use the space and made a really fantastic venue AMAZING. He also did a great job with the music throughout the ceremony and keeping the dancing going.

DJ Max Powers is the best. I first heard about DJ Max Powers when one of our friends attended a wedding he DJ'ed. She stated the guest partied all night and the music was great. Sounded great, but my first question was does he play Soca. Seeing that my Wife and I wanted Rap/Hiphop, RnB, and a light selection of Spanish hits and Soca, I wanted to make sure he was familiar with the music. I went to his website, (Which I have to say was the most professional website I came across during my search) and there is a sound cloud of all the genres of music he play at weddings with 10 minutes samples. I was sold then. Everything looked and sounded good. A week before the wedding, I requested that he played the clean version of songs and he of course had no problem. I gave him a couple Spanish songs that were requested by our guest which to my surprise he already had. The Day of the wedding, everyone had a blast. The guest could not get off the dance floor. The question of the night was WHO IS THAT DJ and weeks after the event I am still getting asked the same question. Thanks a million, job well done!

DJ Max Powers is amazing. I was particularity concerned when selecting a DJ because I am Nigerian and my husband is African American. I needed a DJ that had an amazing Afrobeat catalog in addition to the top hits. Max Powers was no disappointment. The dance floor was constantly full and we had a blast! I would use him over and over. And his price was comparable to other DJs servicing 300 people. My wedding was actually in 2013, but I had to write a review. He deserves it!

My husband and I were married August 18, 2013 on a remote horse farm in Virginia. Serene as the venue was, we were still determined to have a great party and Max made that possible. From the moment we stepped under our tent, he played great tunes that kept everyone tapping their feet during dinner. And when the plates began to clear, our guests literally jumped to their feet. I can honestly say that people were coming up to me during the reception asking where I had found him. Max obviously knows what he is doing...we gave him a list of suggested songs of which he only played a few; however, our guests never sat down! Thank you so much Max for keeping the celebration going and creating such a wonderful time. Weeks later, we still have people telling us how good you were at our wedding!

DJ Max was a pleasure to have for our wedding. He was a great value and a perfect fit with our budget. We coordinated all of the music/schedule details via email and our wedding was a "smash hit." He was very responsive and took into account all of our requests, even our last minute changes. Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception music went without a hitch. We got a bit off schedule during the reception (at no fault of DJ Max), but our guests couldn't even tell because DJ Max kept things moving smoothly. We accomplished everything on the schedule and our venue appreciated that we ended on time (with an bonus encore song). Our dancefloor was full from beginning to end. I would recommend DJ Max to others. In fact, I believe one of our friends who is getting married got his business card at the end of the wedding and intends to use him.

We cannot say enough good things about DJ Max. He deejayed at our wedding two weeks ago and EVERYONE was up dancing. But even more so, he was always the first vendor to respond to any email, he accomodated changes in our timeline, he emceed the whole thing, he was there so early to set up and he even found a fairly unusual song we requested for a special event. He ran the anniversary dance, first dance, cake cutting, intro's without a hitch! truly truly a class act. We could not be happier.

For the affordable cost of using DJ Max Powers it was great! We had the uplighting, ceremony and reception music as well as in person meeting at the venue to go over everything.. Great DJ will definately use again for any event we may have in the future!

I think he was an all around crowd pleaser and was able to get people to get on the dance floor.;He was two-hours late to the reception. And he didn't play all the songs we wanted and some of what he did play was not good. I would not recommend him.
