ized we were not on the same page with what my expectations were for our photos. With just 2 months to go til our wedding day, I sought out a new photographer and reached out to Maxine. Not only did her portfolio online look beautiful and exactly the style I was looking for, but she actually was willing to rearrange a prior commitment to try to help accommodate me and make herself available! She was so personable and sweet, and genuinely enthusiastic about shooting our wedding. I shared with her the specific soft, romantic, natural lighting photographs I was looking for and she absolutely delivered! The photos could not be more gorgeous, with the most incredible lighting she found at sunset for our portraits, and some truly beautiful moments she captured throughout the day. The day was reflected so accurately and beautifully in her photos, and after giving her a lengthy list of particular shots I wanted her to catch if possible, she made each and every one of them happen. I am just blown away by the effort she put in to making sure she delivered exactly what I had asked for and didn't miss a thing! And now I have the most gorgeous photos of our wedding day that I could have ever asked for.

From the minute we first met Maxine we felt so comfortable and at ease - Maxine had a great way of listening to our vision and provided some really helpful tips on what we should be thinking about for our big day. She is very warm and gregarious and did a fantastic job in walking us through any questions that we had in the months leading up to our wedding.
Amidst the excitement on our wedding day, Maxine was a steady presence for us and made everything very relaxing and fun - from our 'first look' photos, the ceremony, family pictures, to beautiful reception photos. Neither my partner nor I is used to being in front of the camera, but we felt so at ease! Maxine is very encouraging and funny - we had such a great time. Maxine had a beautiful way of unobtrusively capturing moments throughout the day - we were able to just enjoy the day and be assured that we were in good hands.
We absolutely love every single one of our wedding photos. When I look at our photos I can really feel the love, connections, and fun that encapsulated our special day with our friends and family. Maxine perfectly captured every aspect of our wedding from our large family photos down to the smallest of details as well as the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

ped so much by promptly responding to emails, and setting up video chats. She helped me come up with a photo schedule for the day, which allowed us to maximize our time and locations. She was also very flexible! She had multiple alternate plans in case of inclement weather, which is always a possibility in Seattle. She arrived early to every event, and I was incredibly confident in her ability to capture our wedding day moments. We had a large wedding party (18 total including bride and groom) and she was very patient, while also being direct and professional to control such a big group. She attentively listened to the kind of shots I wanted, and the final product reflects what we planned on! I am SO pleased with the final album. My biggest praise of Maxine is that she was such a calming presence. There can be so much stress on the wedding day, but Maxine's calm, collected, and professional demeanor was wonderful. I would definitely recommend working with Maxine Toh!
PS. I was nervous about a second shooter, but Maxine assured me that her second shooter (Stephen) would be great, and she was right! They were an excellent team.
What a joy & adventure to have Maxine take our engagement photos down by the Mukilteo Lighthouse! Steve & I had just been sailing the day before and our sailboat, the "Sophia Grace...
" got stranded as we ran out of gas at Possession point! We were able to make it back to shore by dinghy & had to return with the gas can. To make matters worse, the engine flooded so we had to get the boat towed to the marina the next day, when our engagement pics were scheduled. As we were driving to the appointment at Mukilteo Lighthouse, my brakes went out on my car but we ended up walking the rest of the way to get to the engagement pics.
Maxine handled our situation seamlessly, with incredible grace & kindness! She adapted right away when I called her about my car situation & met us as we came down the hill. Maxine took her time to walk us through the park, take action & still shots and create unforgettable moments with her camera! Her use of natural light, creative perspectives, personalized touch & friendly personality were the highlighting points of why I would recommend her work to other brides! Thank you Maxine, for bringing our story to life & doing such a great job capturing our 'Happily Ever After' story!
Maxine has a smart sense of composition, and each photo looks so beautiful in the way the light hits, whether it is outdoor or indoors. (Our wedding was both.)

she brought a second photographer; she was able to capture different angles during our ceremony. And we shot the groomsmen and bridesmaid photos separately yet at the same time (our wedding party was happy about that!). We are also very pleased with the “First Look.” She had a lot of ideas that made it beautiful and fun, and gave us variety.
Maxine is talented and also very kind; she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She shared our vision and excitement and was genuinely happy for us. We LOVE all the photos! We get compliments all the time!

t would be a good way for us to get used to being in front of the camera and to know how she would interact with us as our photographer. This was my (and his) first professional photo shoot and it was very fun and easy! It reinforced my feeling that we had chosen the perfect photographer for our special day. Plus, the photos turned out amazing (even though I had a horrible hair & makeup stylist)!
Maxine was there from start to finish on our wedding day. She captured all the sweet moments I remembered and more. She helped arrange a semi-surprise First Look with my dad and an absolute surprise First Look with my husband (who may never recover from the shock). Preparations, wedding party, family, ceremony, reception, grand exit... I am utterly thrilled with the hundreds of stunning photos that memorialize perfectly our fairy tale wedding day.
A couple of reasons that I chose Maxine: how she works with light and her knack for reflecting people as they are. She has a very natural and non-invasive way of directing and is incredibly easy to work with. We trusted her completely, followed whatever she suggested, had fun, and were greatly rewarded.
You can't go wrong with choosing Maxine. Fly her to wherever you are if you must, but, seriously, you can't go wrong with her as your photographer! I am already thinking about the next special stage in our lives for her to shoot. :)
