Built in 1929, the historic Maxwelton Braes Lodge and Golf Course is located in beautiful Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin on the south end of town near the shores of Lake Michigan. Situated in the middle of a gorgeous 18-hole golf course, it offers sweeping views of Door County beauty in any season.
Since the 1930s people have come to Maxwelton Braes to exchange vows, create memories, and rekindle romances. With indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, onsite lodging for up to 20, golf, tennis, and pickle ball courts, Maxwelton can host any size event. In addition to onsite recreation, the Lodge features the onsite bar MAX.

r dream wedding to life was one of the number one selling points for us. We were able to bring in all of our decorations, choose any caterer, and we were provided with many different drink packages. Our wedding coordinator, Angelika was magnificent - making sure every detail, big or small was not overlooked. We loved getting use of the entire grounds, with no concern of public disruption and our wedding party was able to stay on site with us. We utilized the downstairs bar for both our cocktail hour and after party and it was a hit. The bartenders catered to our every need. I wish we could celebrate our wedding all over again!
