We are so happy with our decision to use Jocelyn from Mayflour to create our wedding cake. Perhaps most importantly, the cake was SO DELICIOUS! The filling was made with fresh strawberries and the buttercream frosting was amazing. The cake was also absolutely beautiful - we opted for a "naked" look and it was then decorated with cascading flowers. We loved how it came out! Lastly, Jocelyn was great to work with. We visited her bakery for a tasting of several options and each flavor was delicious. She's extremely knowledgable and was able to describe each option with expertise in addition to answering all of our questions. We are so happy that we used her for our special day!

Jocelyn made all our cake dreams come true! Our cake had two different flavors, carrot cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla buttercream for my husband, and vanilla cake with rhubarb filling and lemon buttercream for me. Many of our guests said that they were happily surprised that the cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. Jocelyn's flower arrangement on the cake was also lovely, you can tell she takes the details very seriously! We couldn't be happier and we're so glad that Mayflour was part of our special day.

We were so happy we chose Mayflour Cakes and Jocelyn to create our wedding cake. She helped us every step of the way from the personalized tasting at her shop in Rockport to beautifully decorating our cake with flowers to match our vision we described to her in our first meeting. We asked her to create two flavors: vanilla cake/raspberry filing/vanilla buttercream & vanilla cake/pistachio filing/honey buttercream. Both flavors were outstanding! We would recommend Mayflour Cakes to anyone who looking for a wedding cake.

My daughter's wedding was in October 2018. We decided to make 'edible centerpieces' by using a 5" naked cake on each table, with a 2-tier for the head table. Each cake was decorated with real flowers and embellished with candles and give away small pots/bud vases with greens and flowers. . Jocelyn/Mayflour Confections was up to the task, responsive and creative, making cakes that not only looked incredible, but tasted delicious! All that remained on the cake plates were crumbs! We engaged Jocelyn at Mayflour to bake our wedding cake, and we were thrilled with the final result. Jocelyn was helpful and responsive throughout the planning process, and she worked hand in hand with our florist on the day of to bring our vision to life with a beautiful spackled cake designed with blooms and greenery. We asked her to create two flavors: almond/raspberry and lemon/strawberry, both with a light summery buttercream frosting. Both were delicious! For a North Shore or Boston-area wedding, I highly recommend Mayflour.

Jocelyn & Mayflour Confections are the absolute best! Getting married in Rockport, we wanted to keep our vendors as local as possible, and ended up awestruck (and lucky!) that such an incredible cake baker was right in Rockport! Jocelyn was so easy to work with and really helped guide us to the best cake to meet our vision. At other weddings I have seen flavor sacrificed for beauty or vice versa, but that absolutely is not the case with Mayflour. We loved the flavors AND the design so much we ended up with 3 different cakes, each with slightly different design. Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious the cakes were, with many guests trying 2 if not 3 of the flavor combinations. Additionally, for a nervous bride, Jocelyn was such a pleasure to work with - she made sure all of the details were sorted out and checked off what seemed like a never ending to do list. One final suggestion to the brides and grooms out there - make a date out of the tasting!! We had so much fun going to her adorable space and trying some delicious options!

I have worked withJocelyn from everything cookie gift boxes to friends in tough times to beautiful favors for celebrations as well as a stunning cake for my own baby shower. I continue to go back for more because the product is always beautiful & delicious. Jocelyn is timely, professional & a joy to work with.

I found Jocelyn and her cakes early on in our planning process but somehow convinced myself she was out of my reach. In the meantime, I tested some truly horrible cake. So much frozen cake, tasteless cake, overly decorated cake, too sweetly frosted cake. Honestly, I had no idea there was so much bad cake in the world until I was trying to order a wedding cake! If I could do it all over again I would have just started and ended with Jocelyn’s cake, which is perfect. (She also can do naked and semi-naked better than anyone else out there.) We ended up ordering one-tier cakes of three flavors - vanilla, chocolate, and carrot - to use with my personal collection of cake stands. I’m so grateful for the sweet trip I took to her bake shop in Rockport, for her calm and caring way, and that I was able to have a Mayflour-graced wedding.

We are no strangers to Mayflour Confections and Jocelyn Pierce. We love and eat all of her sweet, baked goods. We wouldn't have anyone else bake our favorite wedding cake of all time!! We had a lemon cake with with blueberry filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. It was extraordinary. Many would think the lemon cake would be too powerful in flavor, but Jocelyn baked our cake with a subtle, light lemon flavor and the naturally tart/sweet blueberries created a "slice" of heaven for your taste buds. Jocelyn takes her wedding cakes and desserts to a whole new essence of sweetness and design. Her artistic touch emanates elegance, delicacy, and beauty. She is a joy to collaborate with and communicates easily and promptly, which is a huge help for a bride-to-be planning like crazy. Jocelyn understands what her customers wants and wishes are and delivers on point. She is adept, skilled, professional, and accomplished. We love her dearly and look forward to watching her delectable trade spread happiness to all the admirers of confections.

LOVE. That basically sums up how I feel about the wonder woman behind Mayflour Confections. Everyone raved about our cake, and I may be biased, but it was the best cake I've had at a wedding. Not only that, but Jocelyn makes the best carrot cake I have had ever, period (which is saying a lot because I get carrot cake everywhere I go). And that cream cheese frosting! Drool. We also had her macaroons, cookies and cupcakes for a dessert table. Literally everything got eaten, including the cake. When is the last time you've seen the entire cake eaten at a wedding?! That, in and of itself, speaks volumes and we had this huge 4 layer masterpiece. So much love goes into making everything that Jocelyn does, and she's such a lovely human being taboot. Working with her was one of our favorite parts of the wedding, and we can't recommend Mayflour Confections enough.
