Bethany did a fantastic job with our wedding photos! She is truly talented and I love how she captured our day. I highly recommend Maypole studios and am so happy with our pictures!

Bethany is the best! She was recommended to us by our DJ (Rachel at Toast & Jam.) We met in early 2020 and instantly knew we connected and wanted to work with her. She stuck with us through a long engagement and postponement due to COVID. Bethany was flexible with us as we continued to reschedule the included engagement session. We are not the most comfortable in front of the camera, and she was so good at making us feel relaxed. We leaned on her for picture location ideas and she definitely delivered! Jon was her second shooter on the wedding day and was also great. We can't wait to see the final pictures. We loved working with Bethany and cannot recommend her enough.

Hiring Bethany for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made!! She was absolutely incredible to work with and we couldn't be happier with our wedding photos. As two people who don't love being in front of the camera, she did an awesome job making up feel comfortably and capturing the best of us. She was so easy to work with, which was so great while planning a wedding during a pandemic. This review is exactly 1 year late (7.13.2019), how embarrassing! Bethany and her co-photographer Jon were beyond amazing and did an incredible job capturing our wedding day and it's essence! We also had a fantastic time during our Engagement photo shoot! Not only is Bethany a seriously talented photographer but a kind soul and wonderful human being. From the first day we met her she was warm, down to earth and knowledgeable, making us feel right at ease! As soon as we left our initial consultation meeting, my husband and I knew we wanted Bethany to photograph our wedding! We are not photogenic by any means, but she made us look pretty darn good! During the engagement photo shoot and on the day of the wedding, she helped us be relaxed, ourselves and helped the photos capture 'us.' We cannot thank her enough for her attention to detail, patience, also working with our team of vendors, taking charge when needed and without being asked, providing direction and dealing with our large family and 200 guests! Thank you, Bethany! We cannot recommend Bethany and Maypole Studios enough!

You cannot go wrong with Bethany at Maypole Studios. From the get go, she strived to get to know us as individuals and a couple to make our photos and the experience more personal and memorable. Almost immediately, it felt more like taking pictures with an old friend, rather than someone we met that day. She is generous with her time, cares about getting the right shot, and knows how to get it. Very happy with Bethany and her team.

My husband and I worked with Bethany and Jon at Maypole Studios for our wedding in Chicago on August 18th, and I can honestly say that they were the most amazing people for the job! My husband and I are usually a bit camera shy, but Bethany and Jon immediately put us at ease, and made the entire event so much more enjoyable with their presence. All of our guests could not stop raving about how amazing they both were, and what an absolute joy and pleasure they were to work with. If I had to redo my wedding day, I would without hesitation hire them again, and am so happy how they helped make our day even more special!

Bethany is so incredibly talented and creative -- we have been so impressed with all of our engagement photos and the photos we have seen so far from our wedding! She is so bubbly and really calmed me down on the wedding day. She has so much experience and knowledge about where to get the perfect shots. She was able to help arrange a private first look on the Nichols Bridge, which was closed that day for a city event. Talk about going above and beyond! Everyone is still talking about our pictures and her and her team -- I wish I could give more stars because she truly deserves it!

We hit the jackpot hiring Bethany for our wedding in September. Bethany's photos turned out better than we could have ever hoped for, and she captured every moment perfectly. Not only is Bethany extremely talented, but she is also great company. She was always there when we needed her and had a happy, but relaxed energy throughout the entire day and night. My husband and I had worked with Maypole Studios (Bethany) for our engagement and wedding photos. Initially, we were just planning on having Bethany take our engagement photos as our wedding was a destination wedding. After we received our engagement photos, we were blown away and asked if Bethany could travel for our wedding. She was fantastic! She not only captured the entire night perfectly, but she made a great addition to the weekend. Would easily recommend her to anyone who asks.

They split up the day to get photographs of both the groomsmen and bridesmaids during the getting ready process and came together during the ceremony and reception to capture all the excitement. My wife and I worked with Maypole Studios for our wedding and engagement photos. We wanted a photographer who could capture our personalities and display a positive energy from our photos and Bethany excelled in both of those aspects. Bethany exudes a calm confidence during her photo sessions. She makes you feel at ease that she’s going to capture exactly what you’re looking for without any pressure to pose or present yourself in any specific way. I’ve been in wedding parties for friends where I feel like I’m a mannequin for the photographer and have to conform to their “artistic vision.” Bethany completely flips that approach and makes sure that her work is a product of your input. Our wedding was in Florida and Bethany arrived the day before to make sure she had enough time to scope out the venue so she wouldn’t have to worry about scouting for locations on the day of so she could devote more time to documenting all the different moments from the wedding throughout the day. Everyone from our family and wedding party commented on how efficient and laid back Bethany was and said she was the easiest photographer they’ve worked with. She was patient with us if we had any stressful moments and was always happy to take the inevitable “one more” photo with family members. Every artist has their own style and every couple looks to get something particular out of their photos. Some seek out dramatic poses with over the top romance and formality. For my wife and I, we think weddings are meant to be fun, joyous moments filled with the love we share with each other and our families and friends. Bethany was the perfect photographer for this and shared our vision. My wife and I always smile when we look back at our photos and see the genuine, sweet, and goofy moments we shared. We can’t wait to work with Maypole Studios again.

I met with a couple photographers but knew when I first met Bethany I knew she was the one! She was easy to talk to and made me feel instantly at ease. I loved that an engagement session was included in her package too. It really helped us feel at ease with her and we had so much fun doing it. She really has an eye for fun spots that give the pictures a little bit on an edge. We met a couple times before the wedding to discuss possible shoot locations as well as timeline. Day of Bethany and Jon, her second shooter, were awesome. They arrived on time and were completely professional all day. Our day was flew by and Bethany and Jon got all the shots we wanted and more. We received our pictures back about 3 months after our wedding and have over 1100! They are beautiful and can't thank Bethany enough for capturing the essence of our perfect day.

I selected Bethany years after she photographed my best friend's wedding. She brought the same calm demeanor and fun loving personality to our recent wedding - and to our engagement sessions.
