About this vendor
McA Media is a female run business based in West Michigan and beyond . We produce quality videos for weddings. Although, we are based in Grand Rapids we do travel for weddings. I've always believed in telling stories through video. Videography offers a unique way of expression. It is able to bring moments back to life so that when one looks back at their wedding day 50 years later, they can feel those emotions that they felt on their wedding. You are simply able to relive your special day. After all the months spent planning, a wedding having a video highlighting the most intimate, fun, emotional, joyful parts of the day for you to look back on is enough for me to want one. I believe it’s so important to have both a wedding videographer and photographer capturing your day. They both contribute something different to the wedding. Through photography you are able to look at the photo and smile thinking of all that happened on that day. Watching a video allows one to see it unfold. You can hear the laughter, speeches, vows, letters, music, and not to mention see all those moments your family, friends, and you and your love experienced together. Video is a more come to life retelling of your wedding. Just like photography there is a style out there that will fit what you’re looking for. Some go for the cinematic look and others prefer the simplistic feel. Do your research, ask your friends and find that videographer who works with your vision. I’ve worked with many different couples and I have loved capturing each wedding. I relish that in 20, 30, 60 years they will watch their video and get those chills down their spine, tears in their eyes, and belly laughter from watching their wedding film. It’s becoming more popular every year but it’s something I highly suggest including in your budget.

Gretchen was super fun and made me feel like I was absolutely gorgeous! The photos are amazing and she got the best candid shots; I typically don't like candid shots of me! Their p...
ackages are super reasonable and their travel costs are not outrageous. My husband and I are in LOVE with the photos and we got so many, too!!
A few recommendations from a wedding noob: Splurge and get 2 photopgraphers, it is worth it! Also, Gretchen was super accommodating to get the shots that anyone requested, but I recommend making a list ahead of time! I came up blank in the moment and there are some shots I wish I had asked for. Lastly, at the time, their contract did not have a return date in it to get your pictures back. If timing is important to you, be sure to request that!

We LOVE our videos! We literally booked probably less than a week out from our wedding because we hadn't decided whether we wanted a videographer, but we are SO SO glad we booked M...
cA! Ali was incredibly sweet the day of, and is phenomenally talented at capturing those little moments that happen all around the event that you don't even realize might be happening. We never felt like she was intruding, either which was great because we've been to some weddings where the videographer gets right up in the bride & groom's faces and obstructs other people's views which wasn't what we wanted. Ali was amazing and all of our videos are perfect - everything is so well integrated, including our first dance song and vows playing over some of the video. I especially loved how at the end of our main video there was a playful little "outtake" from when I had a difficult time getting started with my private vows because I was getting so choked up. Than you so much, Ali for providing us the most amazing gift to remember the best day of our lives!!
