About this vendor

You want your wedding to be beautiful, and I want to take beautiful pictures. You want your wedding to be fun, and I want to take photos that not only show people having fun but feel fun. You want your wedding to be memorable, and I want to allow you the time to make those memories while I focus on capturing moments that will remind you of them. I believe in making people comfortable and enjoying the process so that those genuine natural moments can happen that truly express your personality. We will certainly get creative and make unique images that can showcase what makes you and your day special, but largely, the priority is to allow you to enjoy your special day while I worry about getting images of you doing exactly that. I hope that you can look back at your photos and not just see a photo of yourselves or someone at your wedding but rather that the photos can communicate the energy and feelings that were present between the two of you and at the event in general. McCarthy Visuals is based in Brighton, MA.

Look no further than Dan! We used him to take engagement photos of our son and his future wife. Had they not already hired a photographer, Dan would have been their man! He’s pro...

fessional, fun, detail oriented, prompt, reliable, unobtrusive and excellent at what he does. His bar is set high. I have no hesitation in giving Dan my highest recommendation. PS…he also gives wedding dance lessons!

My husband and I worked with Dan for our engagement photos, and the experience was nothing short of perfect! Dan’s got the perfect blend of professionalism, humor, and passion for ...

his art that really put us at ease. He was so encouraging throughout the process, and provided simple, in-the-moment instruction and feedback without being overbearing. The photos Dan delivered were stunning. They really captured us well, and we’re a perfect blend of sentimental, funny, and candid. A huge part of what made our photos so great was the easygoing and fun environment Dan created. Anyone would be lucky to work with him.

Daniel is an energetic, kind, and endlessly creative photographer. He really took the time to meet with my husband and I before the big day to discuss our vision for what we would ...

like our captured moments to be like. Dan seized so many creative opportunities for photos throughout the day and we ended up with one of a kind keepsakes that we will cherish forever. He brought such enthusiasm and great energy to the event. I typically hate having my photo taken but his warm demeanor and genuine passion have a way of putting everyone at ease. Daniel is absolutely the person to make your special day that much more special!

We are so happy we hired Dan to be our wedding photographer. He and Emma were professional, punctual and perhaps the most helpful was how they took charge of coordinating photos wi...

th family members and the wedding party. They did a really great job of capturing both portraits and candids. Dan’s warm and friendly demeanor meant he got great photos of everyone, and I particularly appreciated how we got on the dance floor and took fun candids that we enjoyed sharing with guests after the fact. A wedding has so many beautiful moments and as the bride and groom, it’s really impossible to witness them all. Dan and the McCarthy Visuals team made it so that we can relive every moment of our beautiful day. We’re forever grateful!!

My husband and I were on the fence about whether to have a videographer. We are so happy we did! Daniel was fantastic! He was easy to work with and was very professional. We bare...

ly knew he was there that day, not distracting at all. We loved the final video. Daniel put it to an absolutely beautiful version of our wedding song and it was just perfect. He also did an “outtakes” video which we love just as much as the real video. We are so happy to have real time moments from our wedding to look back on. I cannot recommend Daniel enough.

We are over the moon with how great the photographs came out and how much fun we had with Dan as part of our wedding day. We had Dan do both a mix of staged photos before the cerem...

ony and candids throughout the rest of the day / reception. The staged photos came out AMAZING - framed prints of them are going to be great Christmas gifts for our family members. Dan is so good at finding the right angle and lighting to make a photo look timeless. The candids he took were somehow even better - we got to see so many moments with our loved ones that we would have otherwise missed if we didn't have Dan join us for our day. All of our friends and family members made it a point to compliment us on "how awesome the photographer is!" I can't possibly recommend Dan enough - he will unquestionably be a fantastic addition to your big day and will help elevate the feelings of joy while giving you the breath of relief knowing your photos are going to come out GREAT and you have nothing to stress about with Dan there for you.
