They were so good at grabbing their attention and just going with the flow. My picture gallery transports me back to my wedding day and it has all the treasured moments I requested. and it reflects in all our photos. They’re so personable and genuine and they know how to make the day flow. We used them for both our engagement session and our wedding day. I also booked them for a bridal session on the same day as my hair and makeup trial. I highly recommend doing this. It felt great to have so much time to do all the beauty and bridal shots in my dress and full get up. It was a relief for the wedding day so we could focus on all the group and couple shots. And let me tell you, the bridal shoot photos… magical, elegant, artsy… they were all the things. Andrea and Phil had their hands full when we were trying to get some family shots of all the nieces and nephews, 3 of which were 3 and under, but they ran with it, made it work and worked around the tantrums and emotions. Bravo to them! I gave them ideas for shots I like, but I truly said whatever you guys think. We trusted them and their vision based on the feeling we said we wanted and they executed 100%+. There is no one I’d trust more to pull off the magic they did for all 3 days. And come wedding day on the bus, my bridal party kept asking where we were taking pics and I said I don’t know, it’s Phil and Andrea’s show and I’m just here for the ride. I knew them from my brother’s wedding before, so once my husband proposed they were the first vendor I booked (yes even before the venue and the date). Once we picked the venue, we went off their availability and coordinated with McConville’s availability. My then fiancé hadn’t met them, so he asked me why I was booking our date around the photographer. Then he met them at our engagement shoot and his literal words… “now I see exactly why you picked them first”. Literally will never go with anyone else.

Before doing our engagement photos, neither my now husband and I had taken professional photos, so we didn't quite know what to expect, and Andrea and Phil made us so comfortable and guided us through the process perfectly! Andrea and Phil went above and beyond when it came to scheduling. My now husband and I had a somewhat tricky schedule for the wedding day and they made sure that we got all the photos we wanted and were so accommodating! Andrea also helped me with bustling my dress and any other little things we needed throughout the day! They truly care about the couples they are photographing and want you to feel comfortable and have the best day possible!

Having them as the photographers for our wedding was the only non negotiable thing I told my then fiancé at the time, I knew before we even got engaged that we would hire them. They went above and beyond, our pictures are absolutely magical. They are so fun and easy to work with, we felt so comfortable! Phil followed my style and is an amazing artist. Andrea was a huge help with all of the tips and tricks and when no one could figure out the bustle on my dress she came to the rescue! best decision we could have made. Phil has an amazing vision for photography and photos and his work is breathtaking. I’ve never been so happy with pictures before and I still can’t get over our engagement photos. I can’t even imagine what our wedding pictures will be like. He didn’t miss a second and used every opportunity to get the shots that we wanted done. Andrea ran the show. She kept us on time and made the entire day run smoothly. She bustled my dress, gave me a bandaid, and took out my veil. She knew us as a couple, organized our shot list and made the most of our time together. She even ran around with sparklers several times to get a picture I really wanted and offered to help me pee. They are one of a kind and worth every penny. You won’t make a better decision than McConville Studio!

ls. (The itinerary she makes up for you is THE BEST!) Unknowingly to me, Andrea put the “cake flowers” on my cake because my florist never came back to do it. I had NO idea my florist never came back and I am so thankful that Andrea caught that. The wedding pictures are amazing & I continue to get so many compliments. We did our engagement pictures through them too & they were also beautiful. They know all of the secret spots to go for the best pictures. I’m so thankful that Stephen and I found them for our wedding!

tremely understanding and flexible. Once we were ready to plan our super intimate elopement (of just us), they helped us brainstorm and plan for our special day. We eloped at Starved Rock and hiked into St Louis Canyon to have our ceremony. Phil and Andrea were a blast to work with, they listened to what was important to us to have pictures of, and also made everything so seamless. We both were not that excited to take photos for a long period of time, but the McConvilles made the process fun and quick. They have a great eye for finding the right light and setting. On top of their amazing personalities and photography skills, they have an awesome studio for rent which is an ideal place to get ready. My husband got ready in Phil’s office and I had the main area to myself to have my hair and makeup done and enjoy some drinks and snacks while getting ready. Overall it was truly a magical and whimsical day that we will never forget. They truly went above and beyond for us, and we will never ever forget all that they did. Also Kasha from Camp Bride worked phenomenally with them. These 3 truly knocked it out of the park for us. They all felt like old friends, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone seeking photographers for ANY occasion.

They worked to bring out the best in me and my husband for intimate awesome photos. We were worried about rain the week of our wedding and they had so many back up plans. We couldn't have asked for a better pair to work with. They are so knowledgeable at everything wedding, they offer advice for more than just pictures. I would absolutely choose them again and again to photograph our wedding!

hat I loved the most was how personable and truly loving they are. They both helped and guided us so much through our whole planning process leading up to the wedding. Andrea planned out our entire wedding day timeline and made sure the whole day ran smoothly. I couldn't have asked for better photographers! nd generally just good, fun, wholesome people! They made us incredibly comfortable, and covered everything that we could possibly think of. The real kicker for us though, was not just how amazing the photos are, but how much they went above and beyond. Andrea helped me multiple times when the bussle on my dress was malfunctioning. They took family portraits for my brother and sister in law and their son when they noticed them taking a selfie. They listened to the "delicate" situations that we were facing, and overall felt more like friends than anything. We were gifted a small leather album with about 10 beautiful poloroid pictures that we had no idea they were taking at the end of the night, and I honestly think that this was one of my favorite gifts we recieved. They had written a little note in the bak, and when I showed it to a friend they asked if they were just our photographers, or if we had known them before, as the message seemed personal and more than just a professional gesture. We had so many people say that if given the opportunity they would like to, or wish they had, used the McConville's for their wedding photos. We cannot say enough thank yous and good things to these amazing people, and we can't wait to see the rest of our pictures!

ere. Also, Id like to share that Phil and Andrea did not photograph our wedding- another photographer in their group did. Although we had some good photographs, overall, I was disappointed because of the lighting, angles, background objects (pop cans, other people in formal/planned photographs, etc.). Additionally, the photographer was not assertive nor do I feel that positioning/setting was considered (for example: some of the pictures were taken on an upward angle which resulted in some family not being in the photograph). Members of our family captured beautiful moments from our big day, so I accepted that our album would be an amazing mirage of both professional photographs and family captured moments. I am a big proponent of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"- Although I did not plan on calling to share my feedback/recommendations, I decided to because I didn't want any other newly weds to have a similar experience. During what I had planned on being a professional, calm, informative conversation, the female owner (who was not present during the wedding festivities) began to yell (yes, raised voice) at me while explaining that the reason for the opportunities for improvement in photographs was due to delays in our tentative schedule (my hair took approx 45 min longer than planned). At that time, I felt like my feedback wasn't going to make a positive difference so I ended the phone conversation. The way that the situation was handled was entirely disheartening. :*(

Andrea & Phil took our engagement pictures and we loved them so much, so we were really excited for them to be there with us on our big day! They make you feel so comfortable and at ease. Although I am patiently waiting to receive my photographs, which should be very soon, I thank God daily we invested in their talent to capture the best day of our lives. I will give them 5 stars any day of the week!!!!!

so everything flowed. The only thing I didn't like was no photo shop was done to the pictures. There is a horrible glare in my husbands glasses, people weren't taken out of the background of some photos, no teeth whitening, or removal of blemishes. Besides no photo shopping, they were AWESOME!! Love, love, love McConville studio.

We couldn't have asked for a better more meaningful moment between the two of us. We would recommend McConville Studios to anyone. They made all of our family feel comfortable during the photo process and they captured every moment we could have ever imagined they capture! We received our photo link less than 30 days after our wedding. This was a remarkable turnaround. Our photos were high quality & again captured every moment we could have asked for. so many wonderful pictures because they both took pictures the whole time we had them booked. Andrea even got a lot of photos while I was getting ready without needing any help from me. She just came right into the room and started working. My wedding party and many guests commented on how great Phil and Andrea were. Then once they saw the photos they were even more impressed! I cannot recommend them any more highly! Our package included a 40 page photo album which they have already sent to us completed and ready to print when we are ready. They took creative license and created something for us the we love, while we are still able to swap out specific photos if we wish. They are willing to travel, so check them out even if they are not in your area!!

Our wedding was only two and a half weeks ago and I already have received a link to view our pictures online. If anything they should have gotten paid for saying nice things about everything we picked for the wedding--they really made us feel awesome. My husband and I never really like being photographed, but we felt comfortable and happy on our wedding day. Best vendor we had!
