Sonni will help you every step of the way throughout your wedding planning! She ensures that your wedding day timeline is efficient and followed which helps the day run so smoothly. I also really liked that she offered a video and photo package. All photographers and videographers knew each other which made it easier for them to work as a team to capture our day. Beyond that- her work is incredible! My husband and our friends and family were floored that we got so many preview photos back so soon. They are all such great photos I want to frame them all!! Thank you for capturing our day so perfectly!

Sonni and her team are amazing to work with!! Sonni was super communicative and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and went above and beyond on our big day. Sonni is not only one of the most talented photographers, but she's also such an amazing person. She captured our engagement in photos when my fiance proposed, so having her photograph our wedding was a true full circle moment and such a blessing for us. As if taking the most beautiful photos wasn't enough, Sonni was also the person who helped us create a perfect timeline and shot list for the wedding day. She is so thorough and on top of everything. My husband refers to her as "a machine" because we truly cannot figure out how she does it all! She is also so great at managing people throughout the day. We had a huge bridal party, nieces and nephews (even our dog for some photos!), and Sonni does a wonderful job of getting everyone where they need to be, while keeping it light and fun. This was such a relief for me as the bride, because I didn't have to wrangle the group, which is not an easy task. My favorite photos of the day were Sonni's idea, as she used a moment while we were waiting after the ceremony to pull us aside for gorgeous shots of us outside of the church door. I will be forever grateful that she saw an opportunity for gorgeous shots and took it! Sonni cared about us and our wedding day just as much as we did, and that meant the world to us. Sonni McCune NAILED IT!!!!!! She answered all of my questions and took my requests and visions and brought them to life. She is so fun to work with and never made us feel uncomfortable. Working with Sonni was an absolute dream! She knows my now husband from high school, but made me feel comfortable the moment we met. She has the best personality that keeps things fun and light-hearted, but when it's time for business, she helps there too. I wanted a photographer who would take charge and help us run photos, but not only did she do that, she helped us run our entire day. She created a day-of schedule without me even asking and made sure that any changes were actually feasible up until the night before the wedding. At the reception, Sonni would even find our parents prior to big events and make sure they were in their seats and ready so they didn't miss a thing! I mean, seriously, not only is her work stunning, but the care and attention she takes for her couples the day of is beyond incredible. PS - I'm one of those people who critiques almost photo of myself and never have I felt like someone captured my/our personalities better or felt more stunning in a photo.

Due to COVID, we are splitting our ceremony and reception to 2 different dates (and year!). Our ceremony was super short and tiny but she was able to capture all the beautiful moments for us to share with our families and friends who weren’t able to be in attendance. Honestly, Sonni made our wedding and engagement photos some of the most enjoyable times of this entire experience. My (now) husband and I are not the most comfortable with photos but Sonni made it fun and easy. Her pictures are beautiful and her personality matches that. Sonni is on time for pictures. She is willing to do anything to make sure she captures your best day. Any ideas you have for pictures she will be willing to do. We climbed up a telephone pole to have a pose. She is kind and courteous. She helps keep everything on track on your wedding day to make sure you stay on your timeline. I will always choose Sonni to capture my special moments. Sonni has been been very patient with us. Shes been so understanding and accommodating with our wedding changes. Due to the coronavirus we had to change our wedding date and she instantly sent me multiple dates and showed compassion to the sad bride that I was. We had already did our engagement photos through her and it happened to be 100degrees that day. Sonni didn’t have one negative thing to say and remained our positivity for the day as we were sweating out butts off. She even hiked a mountain for us! Our original wedding day was May 9th and let me tell you, she doesn’t forget anything. I even received a “just thinking of you message” that day.

Words cannot explain the impact Sonni had on our wedding day! She kept us calm, helped us navigate the timeline of our day, and even went above and beyond by contacting our photo venue to confirm details for us. When we realized we didn't have a "day of" coordinator for our ceremony, she actually wrote out the order of the processional for us so we knew what the heck we were doing. Our entire wedding party LOVED her and people keep reaching out to tell us how amazing our photos are. Not only are the photos beautiful (it almost goes without saying), but Sonni and her second shooter Dotti were just completely irreplaceable. I was so shocked when I saw our photos because they LOOKED how our day FELT. That's all we ever wanted from our photos. They are bright, cheery, clean and beautiful. We gained a friend when we booked with Sonni and I wouldn't change a single thing. We will use her for life!

Sonni is the best in the business! She is punctual, kind, and an amazing photographer! We took our engagement photos with her Nov 2018 and she did and fabulous job even through it was about 0 degrees. We loved working with her and looked forward to the big day. She helped me develop my time line for the day and made sure I allowed enough time for everything I wanted to do! Once the big day began she was in full swing! She communicated well with our videographer allowing him to capture shots and having us hold poses. At the church she was able to photograph my mom and sister helping me put on my dress, a first look with my dad, and John's and his groomsmen getting ready. Once the ceremony started Sonni Was up down and everywhere getting shots from every angle in our short 30 minute ceremony! But she stayed behind the scenes and allowed us to be the center of attention. Once the ceremony was over she was an integral part of getting all of the family pictures. She had sent me a survey to fill out prior to the big day and she had memorized which family shots I had requested by the last names. She would call out names and people would filter in and out. It went flawlessly! Then we were off to the park to take bridal party pictures. She was able to manage our rowdy 18 person bridal party and captured all she needed. Then she sent them back to the party bus and just kept John and I to do some more couple shots. Sonni posed us with ease, allowed for input from John and I on pictures we may want and obliged. At the reception we were able to enjoy everything while Sonni took care of capturing every moment! Sonni did and amazing job and the best part was that the next day I had about 60 edited photos back!! She is a freakin rockstar. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a personable, kind, amazing photographer!

Sonni is honestly the best photographer! Not only is she amazing to work with, but she helped my now husband feel so relaxed on both the engagement shoot and on the day of. We hadn't had professional photos together until working with Sonni so we really enjoyed the engagement session to get to photograph with Sonni before the wedding and feel more confident in front of the camera with her. She is also super flexible on setting up a payment schedule that works with the couple. Sonni makes her couples a top priority and can help provide vendor recommendations you may need such a dress, DJ, flowers, etc. She also is there to help you with any planning hurdles or timeline details since she is a pro! Lastly, the photos themselves... they are better than we could have imagined. We are overjoyed at being able to look back on our wedding day and reminisce each part of our special day because she didn't miss a beat or detail . Sonni will do whatever it takes, including climbing on chairs and trekking through the mud, to make sure the photos she takes are perfect. Sonni was able use her experience and creative eye to see the makings of a great photo and us with provide photo ideas, and we love how natural every picture looks. She also welcomed our want to set aside time on the wedding day to meet up with our crazy doggos and thrived at capturing some amazing shots with them. We can't give Sonni enough praise!!!

Sonni is an absolute angel! We are SO happy we had her to capture our wedding - from start to finish. As most brides do, I had moments throughout the day of stress, anxiety, and nervousness. Sonni did the best job at calming me down and not letting me sweat the small stuff (not an easy task 😊). Of course her work was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! All of our bridal party, friends, and family loved her too! Sonni brought along Dotti as her second photographer and she was just as amazing!!! The very next morning, Sonni had already posted our wedding preview. We are in love with those pictures and I haven’t stopped looking at them all day. We cannot wait to see all of the pictures!!! I cannot thank Sonni and Dotti enough for everything! We are so blessed to have had them there for the most important day of our lives ❤️

I honestly cannot say enough about how fabulous Sonni is!!! Being a younger bride, and the first in my family to have a wedding in about 15 years, I was really lost when it came to planning a wedding and choosing vendors! I am so so glad that I found Sonni. Our first phone call turned into a 45 minute chat and we hit it off immediately! I turned to her about all kinds of wedding questions leading up to my big day, not just photography! She was a savior! When it came to engagement shoot, I didn't really have anything specific in mind. Sonni suggested doing a December shoot with Christmas lights, which was probably a lot of work for her compared to other ideas, BUT she managed to find all kinds of fun spots around the Botanical Gardens with PERFECT lighting!!! Those pictures were better than I ever could have hoped and we had a great time getting to know her. I still find myself staring at the pictures!! She also made Kevin and I feel so comfortable! We had a blast with her moving poses and I will cherish those pictures forever! Sonni was exactly what she needed to be on the wedding day. She boosted me up (LOL) when I needed it and she also knew how to get everyone's attention to get to business when necessary. She was very attentive to my attitude and what I wanted, especially before the ceremony when there was a little hiccup in transportation! She and Veronica stayed focused and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible for everyone! She had fabulous and unique photo ideas for the cathedral and the park surrounding the arch, I can't stop looking at the few I have had so far!! Not to mention the fact that she and Veronica also worked SO WELL with our videographers!! It made for a really fun shoot with the entire wedding party and photo and video teams! And during the reception, she frequently checked in with me and walked me through what I needed a step-by-step on! Everything went so smoothly and she made sure that she got photos that were important -- like one of me with my grandparents -- even when it required her going out of her way. This is probably the longest review of all time but Sonni was everything I could have ever dreamed of in a wedding photographer, and more!! I'm going to miss chatting with her and I definitely plan to book her for future events, anniversaries, and someday some family photos! ;) THANK YOU SONNI

Sonni blew me away with her knowledge and confidence when photographing my wedding. She practically held my hand through the day of the wedding because I was a nervous wreck. She managed to not only wrangle my lovely but uncooperative family into total obedience (🤯), she did it without breaking a sweat. Not only that but the pictures she took are so incredibly beautiful. Her ability to capture the little moments that would fly by otherwise is breath-taking. We got TONS of fully edited pictures back and we were also able to have family look at the photos themselves on her website. We had very little time between our ceremony and reception but she made sure to work with my strict time crunch. She captured everything and more from our special day. I cannot say enough about Sonni and her team. Sonni gave my husband and me a fantastic package, with sentimental surprises around every corner. She was truly more than a photographer for us. She became my voice during my reception and acted as a liaison between my DJ, my venue, and me. She and her team got every shot I asked for, and so many more that I never knew I wanted. Sonni is truly amazing. There is no way that I could fit every positive attribute about her in this small box. My husband and I met Sonni at a pizza place in Ladue over a year ago, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. We were absolutely blown away by her from the beginning, and we talked for hours. Sonni McCune is the superior photographer!!! Sonni was a ton of fun to work with and you can tell she not only takes pride in her craft but LOVES doing it. We had so much fun on our engagement shoot getting to know her and her shooting styles. She sent up previews that night and it made us that much more excited for the big day. On our day it was no less than 100 degrees out, the bus didn't have AC neither did the church. It didn't matter and you cannot even tell in the photos. Sonni McCune was the glue that held our wedding together! It started with engagement pictures that we used for our save the dates. As the wedding day approaches, Sonni sent me a few questionnaires to gain more information on our wedding day which in turn helped me to organize thoughts and add details I’d forgotten to think about. She created a timeline of the wedding day that was used by both the DJ and Videographer. On the day of the wedding, she was my go-to person. Our bus was late and Sonni stepped up and took the majority of the bridal party to the church. She made sure to keep EVERYONE on schedule and EVERYTHING running smoothly. She was truely a full service photographer. I would not have made it through the day without her. I couldn’t imagine entrusting anyone else with my special day!

Where do I begin about Sonni McCune and her team! She went ABOVE and beyond to make my husband and I have a wonderful wedding experience from the first meeting at our engagement session through well after our wedding in May 2018. We immediately felt comfortable around her which was so important to us for capturing our special day! From that first meeting, she would continually reach out to check on me and make sure planning was going well and that I didn't need help with planning outside of her photography responsibilities. She was so organized and had us complete forms to help capture all the types of photos that we wanted for our day of and had contingency plans in mind for rain or other issues. She also was extremely responsive with calls, emails, and texts and answered any question I had throughout the process. We loved her work from our engagement session and knew she would do a fantastic job on our wedding day but we were seriously blown away. She captured all the photos I had on my list as well as photo opportunities that I hadn't even thought of. Her attention to detail and eye for capturing all the small moments on the wedding day were impeccable and she did this by making sure the bride/bridesmaid accessories, groomsmen laughing together and small family moments were photographed. She also made my family and wedding party feel special and comfortable and they raved about her professionalism, expertise, and kindness. She made sure that before she left for the night that there weren't any other moments I wanted captured which again shows her willingness to make sure her clients have an incredible wedding experience with her. We also loved her co-photographer, Veronica, who was with us all day and made us feel equally comfortable. Then after the wedding, she gave us a few sneak peaks to post after the day which we loved.
