Kjerstin was super helpful when I was planning my proposal. She was flexible with time and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure my big day and surprise was flexible. The pictures also turned out amazing!

My husband and I used McKeehen Photography for both our engagement and wedding photos. I was impressed from the get-go on Kjerstin's personable nature as well as the cost was exactly what we could afford! Both sets of photos turned out beautifully, but what was the most special piece was Kjerstin's laid back, positive approach that helped to calm our fears of the camera and allowed us to be us together. You can really tell that she loves what she does! I was very nervous for our engagement photos since neither of us are good in front of a camera, but Kjerstin allowed us to be us and she captured the essence of what showed up in the moment to moment. We didn't have to perform or have a game plan on what types of photos or poses we wanted, we were just us. And the photos turned out beautifully! Our wedding was a bit more chaotic and getting married in the time of COVID left me a frazzled mess. Yet Kjerstin's calm, fun demeanor helped us figure out a good plan to keep everyone safe. We were able to travel to multiple locations for photos and didn't feel like anything was left out. In fact both Kjerstin and Ron had me and my husband laughing so hard at different points during our pre-wedding photos (especially when she had the groomsmen come underneath the length of my cathedral length veil and pose). It set the mood for the rest of the day! On our way to the ceremony we both felt very happy with the amount and type of photos we got. Kjerstin even was able to capture things I forgot to mention that I wanted; her experience has taught her a lot about what couples want! On top of this, not only were her and Ron there from first look to leaving in the get-away vehicle (around 10 hours), but they also came with us to get photos when we visited my husband's parents right after the wedding. Because of my mother-in-law's cancer both her and my father-in-law couldn't come to the wedding due to COVID; but Kjerstin and Ron came with us and we got some beautiful family photos not just for our wedding but for my in-laws. They captured such a special time, especially since my mother-in-law's condition is not curable. Getting to see my in-laws have special professional photos (that my husband and I did not know was even going to happen) was one of the highlights of that day; it was such an intimate time with just us and them and a family friend and really brought a lot of joy to my mother-in-law. It was the most perfect time to get these photos done, and was the cherry on top of our perfect day! To top it off, the photos were downright beautiful! The lighting, vibrant colors as well as the depth of each of the photos so beautifully and poignantly captured the essence of that day. We are so immensely grateful to Ron and Kjerstin for all the work they did for us on that day, and highly, highly recommend them! We couldn't be happier!

Best photographers around! Definitely an amazing part of our big day. They captured so many pictures and moments that will be cherished forever!! Both Kj and Ron were so easy to work with and listened to all our wants and needs for our wedding. They are very good at organizing everyone so the bride and groom don’t need to worry about anything.
