We just had the best weekend for a wedding reception. My family and friends enjoyed an evening of great music only to first have a wonderful BBQ meal catered by McKenzie's BBQ in Conroe. The brisket was moist and tender and the turkey was smoked just right. Owning three smokers and believing I smoke pretty good BBQ myself, I can say this passed muster. Everyone was raving about how good this was. And I can tell you equally as good were the staff. Colin McKenzie has a great staff of employees who were on time, set up quick and were some of the most helpful and courteous people. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. If you have an event, CALL THEM! If you aren't having a large (or small) event, go by the restaurant. You will not be disappointed in the food or the service. Highly, highly recommend. The only reason I stopped at 5 stars is there weren't more. Simply awesome!

I found them from another bride’s recommendation in an online group, so my husband and I drove 50 min to their restaurant for a tasting and it is literally the best bbq I’ve had. We paid in full on the spot. On the day of our wedding multiple guests asked us who catered because it was so good they wanted to go to the restaurant. We also got fun appetizers: chicken & waffles and bacon wrapped sausage! Staff was wonderful, food was perfect temps and they’re affordable. I highly recommend McKenzie’s!!!!

We knew that we wanted a variety of food for our wedding, since it was a multicultural one. I wanted to serve BBQ as part of our options, and McKenzie's was the best decision I could have made! The food arrived on time, and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Our delivery came with extra sauce, silverware and plates, onions, pickles, and lots of bread. We didn't add any drinks (water, tea, lemonade options) since our venue provided that, and we also has a fully stocked bar). The only thing I didn't expect was the sweet green beans (I didn't care for them, but my husband and mother in law loved them). My 5 star review stands, since the food overall was delicious and on time, and our guests were raving about all of the food that we served.

We had McKenzie's cater for our wedding on 01/21/23. It was AMAZING! We had so many compliments. We had the brisket, pulled pork, turkey, green beans, macaroni, and beans. The macaroni is some of the best I've ever had. We were beyond impressed with Colin and the customer service we received. Staff was professional and we were able to take home leftovers. Communication was not an issue. Our guests felt like they gained an authentic Texas BBQ experience. Highly recommend!

This caterer was so easy to work with and the food was delicious! Our dinner got so many compliments and almost everyone went back for seconds. Colin, the manager, was great to coordinate with and did not hesitate to answer any questions I had. The staff was phenomenal, and they even had a cake cutting service that we were able to take advantage of! 5 stars all the way! We even went back to the restaurant for lunch during our staycation-honeymoon because the food is so good!

Our wedding guests mostly came from out of town and we wanted to give them a good ole Texas BBQ experience and McKenzie's did just that!! Our guests raved about how good every single food item was and are still talking about it. They had great customer service and was a pleasure working with them. Would recommend them to anyone in the area for some amazing BBQ!!

We knew we wanted barbeque for the wedding. We chose sausage, brisket, potato salad, and beans. It came with bread, sause, and pickles. Plates and silverware was also no cost. We also ordered sweet and unsweet tea but they did not bring it!! I did not know at that time but I was later told. They did bring bottled water. However, the food tasted very good! We were glad to also have no food cleanup.
