From the minute my husband and I got engaged we were certain we wanted the McLean Avenue band to play at our wedding and were so beyond happy they did!
Padraig was beyond accommodating/ transparent and helpful. He was so easy and laid back to work with which made the planning stress free.
Our wedding night was incredible. The band set the tone immediately and got the party going right away. Our family who travelled from Ireland had an absolute blast and were blown away by the McLean Avenue band, noting that it was one of the best wedding bands they had seen in a very long time! 10/10 couldn’t recommend them more and they made our wedding day so so special!

I am an Irish born musician working from my base in White Plains, NY. I founded this wedding band in 2010 and we have played hundreds of weddings since. We have performed and entertained folks from Vermont to Florida, Nantucket to San Francisco and states in between. I love meeting clients and being involved in their celebration but performing on stage and entertaining people is what I thrive on. We were married in Beacon, NY this April and Padraig was incredible to work with through the entire process!! Some highlights...
: the band learned an instrumental for our first dance (which exceeded our expectations and was executed beautifully!), and every single one of our guests RAVED about how amazing our band was. We can't say enough good things! Folks that we never see on the dance floor at other weddings were up all night!! The band not only played a variety of crowd favorites for many generations, but Padraig MCed the whole event with liveliness, energy and warmth -- the band transitioned from playing live to DJ for breaks totally seamlessly, taking into account music that we mentioned we loved. A friend of ours even connected with McLean Ave and they worked together to give us a surprise guest performance -- it was all so unreal and incredible; seriously, weeks later, friends and family keep telling us how they've never had so much fun at a wedding! My husband and I keep saying we have to have anniversary parties just to have McLean Avenue Band again!! They were far and away the most incredible choice and Padraig not only took the time to get to know us/work with us/answer our questions at length and made the planning process so much more enjoyable and easy, but truly gave life to the party!

it the most Irish wedding we could. The first step was finding a band stateside that could play Irish tunes and keep the dance floor packed. By a miracle, my husband found McLean Avenue Band…we booked them for our wedding in Napa on July 6th and they did not disappoint!
McLean Avenue Band lifted the roof off the building! They brought incredible energy, talent, and charisma to the night, keeping the dance floor packed from start to finish. In the beginning, they had the whole crowd on their feet before we ever entered the room. Padraig had taken the time to find out what county the majority of guests were coming from. During dinner, they played Rose of Tralee and My Lovely Rose of Clare. Their mix of traditional Irish tunes and modern favorites had guests of all ages up and dancing the entire night. The fiddle and saxophone added even more flare. They even had my American college friends on the floor for Rock the Boat.
So many of our friends and family still tell us how amazing our wedding was and a LARGE part of that was thanks to McLean Avenue Band. Their ability to read the crowd was spot on. They truly made our celebration unforgettable. If you're looking for a band that guarantees a lively, unforgettable atmosphere, look no further than McLean Avenue Band. Highly, highly recommend!

ed McLean Ave to be OUR band for the biggest day of our lives. So much so that we were willing to change the date of our wedding based upon their availability! Padriag Allen, was so easy to get in touch with, I think he picked up the phone on the first ring. He was extremely accommodating and let me not forget to mention how funny he is to boot! The wedding planning process can be stressful dealing with different vendors not paying much attention to you until weeks before your wedding. Padriag, spoke to us regularly for months leading up to the wedding, always assuring us that things were going to be perfect. Let me tell you... everything was PERFECT!! McLean Ave showed up, looked fantastic, and had all 210 people on the dance floor the whole time. The dance floor was rockin'!
We can not simply say enough about how amazing the McLean Ave Band was! If we were to do it all again, we'd choose them over and over!!

This was one of the few things that was so important t...
o my wife and I who got married on September 23, 2023, in Madison, CT. We wanted our wedding to feel like a massive dinner party turned dance party with all of the people we love. Padraig and McLean Avenue, along with our other incredible vendors, made this happen for us.
When our amazing wedding planner, Regina (Weddings by Regina Marie), connected us to Padraig, it became quickly clear that McLean Avenue's talent, warmth, and energy was exactly what we were looking for. While we didn't get to meet Padraig in person until the day of the wedding (as my wife and I live in Denver, CO), it felt like we already knew him well from the few conversations we had had about what we were looking for. We filled out a form to help the band get to know our music taste and preferences and let them take it from there! We got so many compliments on behalf of McLean Avenue and their ability to keep the crowd going, to transition from live to recorded for their (very few) breaks, and their undeniable musical talent. We have hundreds and hundreds of pictures that show just how happy everyone was to be in their presence for the night.
I must also say that McLean Avenue also went far above and beyond with a couple of specific requests. First, they learned a specific song that we wanted played as we walked down the aisle, which they did a stunning job with. And even more notable, they accepted my sneaky request to learn the backing to a specific Taylor Swift song that is my wife's favorite, and that I wanted to surprise her with by singing on our wedding day to her. I hopped on stage to surprise my wife and had the honor of singing with the band! It absolutely made my wife's day (as if it wasn't already made).
Finally, when we had a logistical problem with part of our payment, Padraig was so understanding, so helpful, and so ready to accommodate.
We remain so grateful to McLean Avenue for all that they did for us. Entrust Padraig and this awesome crew of phenomenal musicians to make your event unforgettable!

o my requests/thoughts throughout the planning of the wedding and the final performance was nothing short of spectacular. They were able to do great live versions of all the songs we picked out for special moments, including ceremony music/processional, intros and our first dance and parent dances, they even worked with us when we wanted to do a mashup for our father daughter dance which was a hit!! During the wedding and even now, weeks later people are still complimenting them to me and are amazed at how good they were. My cousin who is planning her own wedding may have given the line of the night "they ruined all other bands/djs for me" so hire them now as they will be "simply the best"

From the ceremony instrumental music we requested ,to the reception where we asked the band to have full range, to the surprising and amazing acoustic version of Andre Bocelli, could not have asked for better. A week later and people are still reaching out to us telling us how amazing the band was and asking for their information. I cannot say enough great things! Thank you Padraig and the entire night for an unforgettable night.

We had booked this band for our November 28th wedding. However, when our venue called us in September and told us that our 200 person wedding would not happen due to Covid restrict...
ions, my fiancé and I decided to cancel the venue and have a smaller, more intimate wedding elsewhere. When we contacted Padraig to tell him, he was very understanding and offered to play for us at a later date. We explained that we were not having another ceremony in 2021 and would like the money back that we had put down. This was not including the deposit since we were understanding, and only wanted the extra money we had sent to pay off the band. He told us to give him a month because apparently “times were tough” and he didn’t have the money to return to us at the moment. Fast forward to the end of December, he sent us a check and claimed he had the right to keep 20% of what we had paid. Which is RIDICULOUS because he never mentioned that to us. My fiancé and I lost a lot of money too and it is upsetting that he did not give back the money that was promised to us. Please be extra careful when booking with this band and make sure you have everything in writing!

ditional wedding venue and didn't have an actual dance floor but with the Mclean Avenue band people couldn't help but dance where they were. They turned my wedding in to the best party I have ever been to. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them and I would recommend them to ANYONE looking to have a wedding filled with amazing music, energy and dancing. amazing they are. Some of our guests who never dance, didn't leave the floor once during the night! The best part was when the band took a break there was a DJ so the music continued all night.

n we should have!) when it came to the music - my husband's father wanted to sing a song, we wanted our nieces and nephews to sing happy birthday to my husband's brother, we had a few "must-play" songs with specific timing for them, and my husband's parents wanted to do an Irish set with their friends. The band openly accepted these requests and obliged - and did a fantastic job at that! The band backed the kids singing happy birthday as well my father in law singing and did an incredible job listening to them and following suite. As if we hadn't given them enough requests, I texted Padraig the morning of the wedding asking for a specific entrance song for my husband and I. He replied immediately and told me they'd play it on the iPad, which was perfectly fine with me. When my husband and I did the first look in the ballroom before the guests arrived, Padraig & the band were practicing the song and ended up playing it themselves when we entered! Our guests cannot stop talking about two things from our wedding - the food and the BAND. They had everyone up on the floor dancing the whole time, which was what we most wanted from our wedding. They did a fun NYE countdown for the guests and then DJ-ed the last hour, as was agreed upon prior to the wedding. One of my bridesmaids actually loved them so much she said she wants to fly them to Florida for her own wedding someday! You cannot go wrong in choosing McLean Avenue Band for your wedding!!!!

McLean Avenue band were a huge part of our October 11th wedding in Brotherhood Winery, New York. They had the room rocking from start to finish. They mixed in the oldies, classics ...
& sing alongs with modern hits and plenty of Irish party tracks to keep everyone happy. The dancefloor was full from start to finish. Padraig did an exceptional job as MC on the day also. Many guests have been talking about the band since our big day. Padraig was very professional to work with since the first day we reached out to him and he was able to tailor the personnel and music selections to suit our tastes. I would not hesitate to reccomend this band to anyone looking for a fun time for all guests.

Padraig was so amazing to work with, he was so responsive and helpful since the first time we contacted him. He really made sure everything went smoothly for our wedding. Our guests were up dancing the whole time and Padraig knew how to work the crowd and played the right songs for our guests. From the moment we walked into our reception, the band created the most energetic feeling — truly electric!! The band was having fun — and that woman on the fuchsia violin, outrageous!! All of the wedding guests were up and dancing the entire four hours — we danced upstairs with our guests as well as on the main dance floor! Of course, the time at a wedding reception always speeds by, but in this case, all the time the McLean Avenue Band played was evocative!! Our guests are still telling us we had the best band! re the first band we went to see prior to booking a vendor and they immediately blew us away. We knew from the moment they started playing they were the fun and energetic band we wanted to perform the night of our wedding. We first contacted Padraig to see them play at a local bar and from then on, he was always readily available to talk and easy to communicate with. He was receptive to any specific requests we made while also offering us helpful advice for music choices.
The night of our wedding Padraig was there to help set up sound for our ceremony and worked well with our Maître d’. We had a cello and a violin play our ceremony music and it was simply beautiful. The band also provided our cocktail hour with speakers to play our pre-selected playlist. Padraig did an excellent job with our introductions and kept the reception moving smoothly. We never had to give the band a specific setlist as he knew the style we were looking for and were able to read the crowd the night of our wedding. They played a wide selection of genres to keep everyone on the dance floor and everyone could not stop coming up to us throughout the night to say how fun the band was. Even now more than a week later our guests are still raving about what a blast they had. The most fun part of the night was when the band played their own rendition of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and had everyone roaring with the incredible fiddle playing. McLean Avenue Band truly made our whole wedding come together and we could not have pictured it without them there. We know choosing a band is often a big (and costly) decision, but we could not recommend this band more as they made our wedding a night to remember for everyone there, not just us. Thank you to Padraig and each member of the band for your hard work, effort, and enthusiasm to make our night truly perfect!

lly awesome people! Padraic made everything so easy, and he was able to make changes day of for us , which made the day amazing. I wound up getting pregnant before my wedding (I do not recommend), and literally forgot to tell him some of things I wanted, and they made it work! He also checked on me during the night to see how I was feeling, just such a nice guy. Now, that being said, the music is phenomenal, the female singer was hitting some amazing notes, and they had everyone up and dancing all night. No one wanted to leave and everyone raves about them still. I highly recommend them to anyone, they will make you happy. They are so diverse, considerate, and overall an incredibly professional band. We can’t thank them enough!!!

hey provided on our wedding day. My husband and I knew we wanted a live band for our wedding and when we saw them perform in White Plains we knew they were it. They even helped me coordinate a small Irish step dancing performance I did at my wedding. Padraig is a pleasure to work with and truly wanted to make our day special, even calling us the day before to make sure our first dance song was the way we wanted it to be. how to work the crowd, playing just what we wanted and keeping the guests dancing all night long. From the ceremony music, cocktail music and then dancing away after dinner, everything was seamless and I could enjoy my wedding without a care in the world. We had suggested a few songs the relatives from Cork would like, and some Irish tunes that we love, and the rest we left to the band to mix it up Irish and American, and it was brilliant. All of our guests raved at what fun they had. We had seen the band play locally in our neighborhood and we look forward to seeing them whenever they play near us again.
