DJ Matty was absolutely incredible! He made our entire wedding day run so smoothly, working seamlessly with all of our other vendors to ensure everything went perfectly—all while keeping a big smile on his face. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the music! He mixed all the different genres we requested flawlessly, making sure there was something for everyone to enjoy. The photo booth was also a huge hit—there wasn’t a moment when it wasn’t being used! For any future event where I need a DJ, Matty will definitely be my first call!

Incredible top notch experience working with Matty. He was extremely professional, easy to work with, and most of all we really valued his expertise regarding what songs to play (based on our inspiration) and even reception logistics. We felt very confident when we hired DJ Matty to DJ our September 2024 wedding that he and his team would be amazing, but we have to say, they exceeded our expectations. My husband and I received multiple comments throughout and since our event that DJ Matty was the best wedding DJ they had seen. The dance floor was packed from start to finish! DJ Matty was absolutely amazing! Working with DJ Matty was so seamless. He was super responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process and did everything to make sure we had a perfect night. DJ Matty was excellent to work with in the planning phase and was great at understanding out vision for the event. DJ Brian, our actual DJ for the wedding, was so great and professional. On a recommendation from our wedding planner, we hired Matty as our DJ and MC for our wedding this past July 2024 at Gather Greene in Coxsackie, NY. Upon our first meeting we knew Matty was the perfect fit for us. He was extremely professional, enthusiastic, experienced, welcoming, reassuring and kind throughout our entire process. Matty welcomes any vision you have for your day, like our Italian-pop inspired cocktail hour. He also provides such insight and experience in decision making, he helped us with looping our special instrumental processional song to accommodate any unpredictable delays, which came in handy when we had to walk down the aisle in the rain! Using the streamlined app Matty provided us with, we curated customized prelude, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing music which Matty honored while enhancing each part of the night with his vast library of songs and mixes. He prioritized the “flow” of the evening and everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. When MC-ing he kept everything classy and professional. Matty was one of our vendors we had absolutely “no worries” about during the entire process. If you want a DJ that provides lots of experience, keen social-awareness, professionalism, along with a non-judgemental, reassuring and excitable demeanor in your wedding planning process, look no further than Matty!

From our first meeting I know Matty would be the perfect fit. He is super kind and incredibly professional. He led us through the wedding process with ease and smiles. He listened to our requests and added his own magic which I knew he would do. The dance floor was packed!! Matty was perfect in his execution- never stealing the spotlight from the bride and groom and he didn’t sing and shout over the music which we appreciated! (That has a time and place but not for this wedding). He pulled together instrumentals for the ceremony and managed the artists and added musicians at the reception and it really brought out the celebratory vibe of the night. Matty is everything you could ask for and more as a provider. From start to finish, Matty took great care of us and our various requests. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Matty. He was so kind, professional, and caring throughout the whole process. He has an amazing vibe, which was exactly what we were looking for, especially since he was also our MC/announcer. From the start, Matty set up a few calls to chat about our vision for the wedding day. He listened to our ideas and gave great advice on things we weren't sure about. Matty was super flexible and was open to our last-minute changes (which I really appreciate). We even added an Hora Loca, which was new to him, but he handled it perfectly. The night was a dream! Our guests also spoke highly of him, saying what a great DJ he was. Matty's energy kept the party going and made our wedding day so special. We're so grateful for everything he did and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

Brian and the entire MD music and entertainment team were absolutely amazing throughout our entire wedding process, from the planning to the day of. Brian had our guests dancing the entire night, and we loved every musical moment from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception.

We hired Matty for our wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns and he was absolutely amazing! My wife and I have very different music tastes (80s-2000s pop and electronic) and Matty was able to bridge them together beautifully on our wedding day! He hired musicians to perform at our ceremony that played a beautiful rendition of a song by Odesza and a lesser known John Legend song. The music for cocktail hour was exactly what we wanted and he gave us the playlist, which we love listening to! Finally, for our reception, Matty delivered exactly what we asked for which was a fun dance party that had our guests on their feet throughout the entire night! I don’t think I ever left the dance floor except to cut our wedding cake! In addition to the music, Matty was a great emcee and did a great job of being the host for the night. I also really enjoyed the planning process with Matty. We used an app to put in the music we wanted for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing and I think Matty did a perfect job of translating our selections there into the playlist for the wedding day. I cannot recommend Matty highly enough and you should not hesitate to choose him to DJ your wedding or any other event!

Our wedding day was May 4th, 2024, so we definitely wanted to embrace the Star Wars nod. On our first zoom call with Matty, he had a Star Wars light on his wall above him. That was our first sign. Talking with Matty was so effortless. We honestly had no idea what the process looked like finding a wedding DJ. Matty answered all of our questions and asked us questions of his own to find out what our vision was. We knew after our call together, Matty was the one for us. He is so knowledgeable about music and timing. We know we love music but we needed an expert to put all of our favorite artists together in a way that made sense. Matty executed this perfectly. He gives his couples access to an app to add any songs they would like to hear. This made the process so much less stressful. You’re listening to the radio, hear a song, open the app and add it. Amazing. Two weeks before the wedding, we chatted about everything we had entered and the timeline of the wedding day. After that conversation we felt so good. He knew exactly what we wanted and we felt like we were in the best hands. Our wedding day music went so smoothly. It was soft and subtle when it needed to be and an absolute blast the rest of the night. It felt like our personal playlist shared with our loved ones. Matty is a true expert at what he does and we are so grateful to of had him for our big day.

Dre was amazing!!! He truly listened to everything we wanted and delivered. My husband and I had a song list that was all over the map and somehow Dre was able to take us from Abba to Creed and make it sound intentional. It was awesome. He really listened to us and picked up on our vibe… he even played a random song I reposted on IG joking with a friend that we’d dance to it at my wedding. That was a cool moment and showed that he pays attention and genuinely cares about his couples. Dre stayed on schedule and moved the evening along perfectly without being overbearing on the mic. During the planning process, we corresponded mostly with Matty and can’t say enough good things about him either - he checked in with us (unprompted) multiple times in the months leading up which took a huge burden off of us. We were able to load our song choices into an app which made everything easy.

Matt was absolutely incredible for our wedding. The whole process of working with him is awesome. He's super organized and professional. He has an app where you can upload songs that you'd like to be played at different points in the night. In addition to DJ services, he also offers great add-ons like a guitarist who played at our ceremony (he was also amazing), a photobooth, and lighting. So it's very one stop shop for these important details that really make the wedding special. On the day of, he did an excellent job managing the energy of the crowd. People were dancing the entire time and people of all ages had an awesome experience. We were so happy with how the night went - DJs can really make or break the ceremony and reception and he knocked it out of the park.

Working with Matty was a seamless experience from the start! He is completely open to your vision for your event, and will make sure every detail is covered to bring that vision to life. We loved using the app to bring in all our favorite songs. We got so many compliments on our music during the event and the dance floor was always full. Can't recommend Matty enough!

I cannot stress enough how much my wife and I loved working with Matty for DJ services. Aside from being the most prompt and responsive that we had requested quotes from, Matty was a pleasure to work with from the planning, touch and go leading up to the event, and through the reception. We didn't have a wedding planner to manage vendors, so the clear description, steps and timelines that Matty provided was extremely appreciative during all the other planning, work, and general life stressors we had going on. Speaking with him felt natural, unforced, but also focused to get through necessary milestones. We went into our reception knowing that our friends and family would love to dance, but the flow Matty kept going, it was hard for anyone to stop! The blend between oldies and new age, salsa and slow dances - my wife and I listen to these songs again and they have new meaning and memories to us. We couldn't have hoped for a better track to celebrate our day and better person to work with than Matty.

If you are looking for a DJ, hire Matty and don’t look back. You will be so happy you did. Our experience with Matt was unbelievable from start to finish. Matt was incredibly responsive and even proactive in his communication with us, beginning well before our wedding. He provided an app that was simple and easy to use which allowed us to not only give him the specific songs we wanted played, but also give an overall sense of what we wanted played at our wedding. As we got closer to our date, we had a pre-wedding zoom meeting where Matt’s experience and professionalism came through as he immediately understood what we wanted for our wedding and gave us the best recommendations to accomplish it. He also made it extremely easy to coordinate two live instruments to play during guest arrival and our ceremony. On our day, Matt was everything he presented himself as. He made everything seamless while creating the exact mood and vibe we wanted for our wedding. The amount of guests that have complimented him both on our wedding day and since has become too many to count. He is not only amazing at his job, but a pleasure to deal with. Matty is hands down the best wedding DJ my wife or I have ever encountered, and we have been to a lot of weddings. He is so kind and professional, and pleasant to work with. But most importantly, he has a great understanding of music and an equally brilliant ability to read the room/dance floor. One cool thing Matty offers is an app on which the wedding couple can create playlists of songs they like. We took advantage of this and, in our meeting a few weeks before the wedding, he told us he thought he had a good sense of our vibe. We were a little skeptical because we have very different tastes in music, but he proved us wrong, and put it to good use. The dance floor was packed the entire night, and both of us loved every song he played, even though he played songs we had not included on the app. We had a huge range of ages and backgrounds at our wedding and the majority of our guests were on the dance floor the entire time. We hardly have any pictures from our friends because they were too busy dancing. The day after the wedding, we received this text from one of our most judgmental friends: "By the way... not sure how you found that DJ but he was amazing! Not a bad song all night." This is generally representative of the comments we received from friends and family alike. We really cannot recommend DJ Matty enough. He will not disappoint.

We absolutely LOVED working with Matty as our wedding DJ! It was super important to us for our wedding weekend to bring together western and Indian cultural traditions in new ways that felt true to us as a couple, and Matty helped us do that in ways we never thought possible — for us, that meant creating a non-traditional Indian baraat, and seamlessly incorporating everything from hip hop, to Bollywood & bhangra, to Abba, and beyond. Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about the music all night, and I couldn’t have left the dance floor even if I wanted to! He took our song selects to another level with his transitions, timing, and final picks. Not only was the music incredible throughout all parts of our wedding day, but Matty was so much fun to work with leading up to the wedding and we loved hanging out with him the day-of. He was an awesome MC, and he even checked in with us a few times throughout the reception to make sure we were feeling good about schedules and song choices (not that we ever had any complaints because everything was perfect!). His DJ setup also looks super sleek, and the uplighting and photo booth he and his team provided were awesome as well! Thank you for the happiest day ever, Matty!

Matty is the best!! If you’re reading this, you should go ahead and book him now. There is a reason he’s basically the resident DJ at The Roundhouse in Beacon. He is an amazing DJ, and a genuine and extremely kind guy. He was prompt in answering any questions we had throughout the planning process, and went above and beyond in helping edit our first dance song down prior to our wedding day. He helped the day run seamlessly and checked in from time to time on how we were doing, which was greatly appreciated. We added on the photo booth his company provides and were very happy we did. An attendant assisted guests with putting their photos in the guestbook and signing, and we ended up with a full book we will be able to look back on for years to come. Most importantly, Matty knows how to read the room and keep the dance floor packed - we got so many compliments on the music from all generations. There is a true art to how he brought us from the ceremony music to the last song of the night. We couldn’t recommend him and MD Music more!

DJ Andy Merlino from MD Music & Entertainment did AMAZING work at our wedding this past weekend. Starting at the beginning - my daydream of walking down the aisle to a very unique song came to life and it was one of the most special moments of the day. Seriously, it was even better than I pictured it in my head. The ceremony itself went off without a hitch, the audio was perfect for all the guests even in the not so glamorous patio setup on a stormy day. Then during cocktail hour and reception, all of the transitions and music queues went perfectly. The cherry on top of it all was a *PERFECT* reception where we partied til the end of the night - and then some!! Even after the last song, our guests wanted to keep going and DJ Andy gave us all the perfect send off when he played just ONE MORE SONG!!! What a special night for us. Thank you so, so so much - I can't sing his praises enough. Thanks to Matty, too, for connecting us with Andy and putting us in such great hands. We are really pleased with everything and will be recommending MD Music and DJ Andy to everyone we know.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! DJ Matty was incredible to work with from start to finish. We hired DJ Dre for our wedding last weekend and he did a phenomenal job! He accommodated all of our requests and did a great job MC'ing our reception. He came early and was really on top of everything to make the wedding go smoothly. Speeches, toasts, dance party, etc. he got everyone on the dance floor - even relatives we didn't even know had the moves! Going into the wedding, he was a great communicator who even sent us footage of previous weddings he did in our venue to show us optimal set-ups and positioning. Overall, DJ Dre provided a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend hiring him and Matty for your upcoming event!

Matty is an incredible DJ! Music is a huge deal to us and all our friends, so we wanted to find the perfect person that would understand the vibe we were going for. We had been to weddings in the past where the music really brought down the event and the DJ would keep interrupting. From start to finish, Matty was amazing and helped us put a timeline together for the event as this is something we were unsure about. He gave us great advice and was always responsive. Matty is not only incredibly talented at his job, but such a nice and warm person. He immediately made us feel comfortable upon meeting him and is very professional. He worked with our venue to ensure all went perfect on the day of. His timing for songs, the way he edited songs to fade and mashup, and his announcements were all perfect. Every day since our wedding, I have wished we could do it all over again. I have photos to back this up but everyone at our wedding ended up being on the dance floor as he catered to all generations and made it so much fun. Our cocktail hour was also perfect! So many of our friends/family members have requested a Spotify playlist of the music that day and commented on how amazing and fluid the DJ was. I trust 100% that his entire team at MD Music is amazing and if you are still looking for a DJ please stop and hire Matty & his team. You will not find someone better!

Matty was an absolutely incredible DJ. We had a pretty specific vision for our wedding and have eclectic taste in music - from the Grateful Dead to Lizzo to Beyoncé to The Rolling Stones - and Matty incorporated it all beautifully. Our guests told us they had never heard better music at a wedding, and the dance floor was never empty. And beyond that, Matty was absolutely lovely to work with. He challenged us where we needed editing for ~the vibe~ and every single one of his suggestions was right. Everyone from my parents to my party people friends was happy. MD Music was the perfect choice for our wedding! From our first email with him, Matty was absolutely awesome to work with. He was truly so professional and so helpful, answered every question we had, and was obviously extremely experienced and knowledgeable about his business. DJ Michael was the DJ the night of our wedding and was also seriously the best! From our call with him before the wedding we were already confident that he had a good handle on our crowd and would do an awesome job, but he genuinely knocked it out of the park. Every single guest I’ve spoken to has said ours was the best wedding they have been to—and any picture of the dance floor from our wedding night would attest to that. From the minute our first dance ended to the end of the night the entire crowd was up, singing, dancing, and having the best time ever. We didn’t give a lot of song suggestions because we wanted to leave room for Michael to feel out our crowd and see where the night went, and we really just could not have asked for better. He also picked the absolute perfect vibe for pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. Genuinely the BEST DJ company!

Matt and his team recently worked our wedding in New York. Even through we were from the city, we had moved to California and so were planning remotely which was stressful. Matt was the most organized vendor we worked with throughout the process. Not only did he have the tools to communicate and a calendar already set up to help us map the day, but he was easy to talk to and a pleasure throughout. My husband and I loved using his app to map out the music for the day as well. It made it a fun bonding exercise rather than a chose. During the day itself, Matt was our MC and the adult that kept things moving. His staff was professional and warm as well and they just all felt like part of the day. We had an amazing day because of MD Music and their team. Can't recommend enough.

Matty was a DREAM to work with! My husband and I were very picky when it came to selecting our DJ. My husband, in particular, is passionate about many different decades and styles of music. We also wanted our guests of every generation to dance and enjoy the music. We did not want a cheesy MC and we did not want a club-like feel to our wedding. We stumbled on Matty’s IG where we watched a video of him skillfully mixing 90s songs. We scheduled a zoom meeting with him and once we started chatting we knew we found our DJ. Matty truly customizes his DJ sets to each couple he works with. He had us download an app where we filled out a detailed questionnaire about our wedding and then we were able to link entire spotify playlists and songs we wanted. Two weeks before the wedding we had our final zoom meeting with Matty to finalize everything. I was such a wreck with stress at that point and we were trying to figure out the logistics of how our ceremony keyboardist (our friend) would hook up to his sound system. Matty said exactly what a bride needs to hear: “Don’t worry. I will make it happen.” And he did! He was so awesome at the wedding and so many guests were raving about the music.

DJ Matty was amazing to work with from start to finish. He was so responsive and took the time to really understand our vibe and what we were looking for. We had a last minute request for live jazz at cocktail hour and he made it happen without a hitch. We barely left the dance floor all night, and we heard from guest after guest that our wedding had the best music of any they had EVER been to. Don't think twice just hire Matty.

The DJ was probably the vendor that we were most nervous about hiring. We've been to plenty of weddings where the DJ was the worst part of it. They're such a critical part of setting the tone of the wedding and making the whole event flow. Matty was EXACTLY what we needed and he executed perfectly. Handled the curve balls we threw his way with grace and reassurance. He was the calming and fun energy that we needed on what is always going to be a hectic day!

Matty and DJ Brian gave us everything we could have asked for and more. For context, we found ourselves unexpectedly needing a DJ about a month out from our wedding. In that short space of time, they managed to develop a perfect understanding of what we wanted our music and reception to be. Brian took a pretty disorganized hodgepodge of songs we wanted played from across genres and managed to curate a seamless, energetic, frankly awesome set, not to mention integrating a live sax player we hired. Exactly as promised, they kept the focus on us and our guest while keeping things on track. Their communication was top-notch and they were honest and genuine throughout, which really inspires confidence in the home stretch and gives you one less thing to worry about. Highly, highly recommend.

DJ Matty was only DJ we could've wanted! We had two years to plan our wedding and he was one of the easiest first picks. From our initial conversation, my husband knew he was exactly what we wanted. We love DJ'd weddings, but only a certain vibe (low key but always playing hits) - and DJ Matty was IT ! We had an initial call with Brian to talk about what was most important to us, the flow of the evening, and our music tastes and truly felt that our input was heard throughout the process. The evening went so smoothly and having Brian as an emcee made all the transitions through the night as seamless as possible. The music was perfect - we input some song ideas into an app Brian shared with us and he was able to pick up on our preferences and keep the party going! Many of our guests commented on how good the music was and the dancefloor was packed all night - highly recommend!

As a couple in their 30s who are going to weddings all summer long, it’s a huge compliment at your own event when every guest says DJ Ness is “the best they heard all summer!” Ness did a great job transitioning use seamlessly from cocktail hour to full on glow stick dance party. Would hire Ness again in a heartbeat!

Matty is a fantastic DJ and I would recommend him with 10 stars if I could! Music was the one aspect of our wedding in which we had 0 stress or concern. We love all types of music and our friends and family all have their own preferences too. He took our eclectic list of song suggestions and hit the mark! Everyone was on the dance floor all night, I might have forgotten to eat half my dinner because I was having so much fun. Matty is easy to work with and will help make your wedding or event as perfect and he made ours.

Matty was incredible as the DJ at our wedding. He was highly recommended by our coordinator and exceeded even her effusive "you MUST work with Matty!" recommendation. Nestor did a great job DJing our wedding! We got so many compliments during & after the wedding about the music. We were admittedly a little nervous about hiring a DJ at first because you can’t really test them ahead of time, but I’d hire Nestor again in a heartbeat! He and Matty (the owner of MD Music & Entertainment) worked with my fiancé and I to make sure they really understood the vibe we were going for and what was important to us. We always felt like they were listening to us and like this was OUR night. They gave us access to an app where we could make song selections for each part of the wedding. This made the process easier and allowed us to have just the right amount of control over the process without it being TOO overwhelming. Picking out those songs was an extremely fun part of wedding planning and great bonding experience for us! We got to hear a lot of songs we were hoping to hear throughout our wedding night and Nestor did a great job with the transitions between songs. Nestor also did a great job with the audio for the processional, ceremony and speeches too, which was hugely important, since I’ve been to so many weddings where there were audio issues. Nestor kept the audio working great even though our wedding had both an indoor and outdoor portion and it was a very windy day. No issues with the mics!

Matty is THE BEST ! My husband and I really wanted to find a DJ that wasn’t a typical DJ. We never were into somebody who forced people to get up to dance and were loud and in your face. That’s what led us to Matty. From the second we first spoke to Matty, we knew that he was the perfect fit for our wedding ! He made us feel excited about the process of creating the playlists and was so well organized. He had us use an app to put in songs that we wanted played at the wedding. Over the course of about a year we put in songs here and there but Matty was right by our side when it came time to put it all together. He quickly realized what our vibe was and perfectly executed the most amazing playlists. People were RAVING about the music and said they never wanted to sit down because it was hit after hit ! Not only was Matty amazing at music selection but he was so helpful when it came to pacing. We had a lot of pockets where we wanted to take pictures and he helped us figure out the perfect pacing so people would keep partying even if we weren’t there ! He has a great relationship with the venue and other vendors and helped us communicate what we wanted with pacing. Every time we met with Matty on zoom it was like catching up with an old friend. He made us feel so comfortable and excited. He’s the calm and reliability you need on your big day. If I could give 10 stars I would ! Matty will go above and beyond to make your day perfect. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude and over the moon happiness that we picked Matty for the most special day of our lives. Thank you Matty !!!

Matty was the best!!!!! He got our guests on the dance floor from the first song to the last, and every single song was one the crowd was excited about! He handled also speech timing and dinner music perfectly. The process leading up to our wedding was seamless, and our guests were raving about how he was the best DJ they’ve ever seen at an event! The event coordinator even had him at her own wedding, which is the best testament to how great he is.

My fiancé and I spoke to so many DJs and knew immediately we wanted Matty at our wedding. The app he utilizes is a game changer and made the music selection process so fun. It was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. He was thoughtful in his approach with some of or unique song requests and added them at the perfect times during the reception.
