MDL Events began in 2008 helping couples celebrate their magical day by providing music and entertainment all across Iowa. With years of wedding experience this eventually led to expanding our services to be able to help couples capture those memories with the addition of Photography and Videography. One contact, one contract. Planning a wedding or event is no simple task, and can cause a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress in dealing with all that needs to be done. The goal of MDL Events is to do what we love and provide high quality services, ensuring not only do you love every minute of your day, but remember it forever! By allowing couples to book our services together, this saves the headach of dealing with multiple vendors and all of the complications that come with it. With

Hiring MDL Events to DJ our wedding (full day coverage) was one of our worst wedding decisions. They are completely unresponsive in the planning process. We were contracted to have one to two planning meetings and after our initial survey they never reached out to schedule the meeting. We and our wedding coordinator tried reaching out. They only responded when she asked what meal they wanted. They did not respond to us when we asked. No planning meeting occurred. They sent someone we were not expecting to DJ who came up to me as I was trying to do my first look with my dad to ask what kind of music we liked (which was on the survey and should have been covered at the planning meeting). They did not perform a sound check at the ceremony and the mics went out multiple times. Our readings are not in our wedding video as there was no sound going through the mic for any of them. Afterward, they skipped out on our cocktail hour, which we had paid them to be at. They referred to my dad as "Mr." when he is "Dr." repeatedly, something they could've known not to do if there had been a planning meeting. We had specifically requested no requests from guests, so the first thing they announced when the dance floor opened up was for guests to bring up requests. I hated the music most of the night and finally had to go ask for better music. Most of our requested songs weren't played. We reached out after and couldn't even get an apology. The icing on the cake was repeatedly trying to kick us off our own dance floor during the anniversary dance because they picked rules for us without checking how we wanted it done. Do your wedding a favor and just make a Spotify playlist.

MDL was incredible to work with! They DJ’d our wedding and made the dance floor so much fun! They also dismissed our tables for dinner and made a fun suggestion to add an anniversary dance to get even more people on the dance floor. We received many compliments from our guests about how great they were and how much they loved DJ who was the main MC for the night. Definitely recommend!

Chris is an amazing DJ! He took care of our ceremony, transition music, speeches, shoe game, dances, etc. He played the few songs we gave him as must-plays and found great songs to fill the whole night. Highly recommend!!

They did a great job throughout the entire planning process, and our reception was so much fun! The music chosen kept the energy up, while still honoring our preferences. I danced all night, and so did much of our family!

We used MDL for our ceremony and reception, and they were great! They provided a wireless mic for the officiant and made sure that she could be heard over the waterfall feature at the venue. Having a wedding during COVID times means that people aren't out on the dance floor like they used to be but Chris still did a great job playing a variety of music and we got a lot of compliments from guests about the music!

We were so pleased to find our photographer, videographer and DJ all at the same place. It made planning and communication so much easier. We knew from the start that we had made the right choice with the MDL team! Nicole and Andrew are so easy to communicate with and we’re very helpful throughout the entire planning process. Nicole was always happy to answer questions that I had and gave great advice that really helped with the entire planning process. If you look at their accounts you can see how amazing their photos and videos are, we were so pleased with how great they are to work with also! Doing our engagement and wedding photos were so much fun and they are SO FAST with getting the photos back to you! We had our sneak peek photos within a week from the wedding which was so nice because who wouldn’t want to see their photos right away?!

Amazing! If you are looking for an amazing photographer, videographer, and DJ – look no further! MDL Events has the full package and they far exceeded our expectations! They took the time to understand our vision and know what moments we wanted captured. The day went by so fast, but thanks to this team we can relive the moments forever! Nicole truly has a gift for photography – she is able to capture those special moments with great detail without you noticing she’s there in those moments. We LOVED having MDL Events DJ our wedding. They were open to requests and always had people on the dance floor. Very easy process through their online questionnaire to determine exactly what we needed the day of and what we wanted to hear! Very flexible and great communication. Thanks for everything!!!

If I could give them 10 stars I would! they did such an amazing job! We had MDL provide photography as well as DJ services for us on our wedding day. They were so great to us and the quality of their work is top notch! We were so happy with how beautiful our pictures turned out. And the DJ also did such a fantastic job of keeping people on the dance floor all night. It all went better than I could have ever dreamed. I'm so glad we found MDL events.

I don’t have the words to tell you how awesome Nicole and Andrew have been. We were so impressed with their professionalism and creative ideas for our engagement photo session. My fiancé proposed in Arizona so it only seemed natural to have our photos taken there. Nicole and Andrew researched the area and found the most beautiful locations for our photos. The whole process was a breeze and so much fun! I had complete trust in their vision. We were extremely grateful for their willingness to travel to another state and capture this special moment with us. They have been an absolute dream to work with. During our engagement shoot they put us at ease straight away, we laughed lots and the photos turned out gorgeous. They managed to capture so many wonderful moments! We can’t stop looking through all the beautiful photos and sharing them with all of our family and friends. We highly recommend Nicole and Andrew at MDL Events.

We hired MDL for our engagement pictures, wedding photography and videography, and reception DJ. They were awesome all the way through. We so appreciated Andrew, Nicole and their crew being there for our entire wedding day to capture every moment, and the DJ Chris did a great job of reading the crowd and getting the party started! We would definitely recommend the MDL Team!

We used their DJ service and they did an absolutely amazing job at both my ceremony and reception! There was always someone on the dance floor, and people kept asking me who the DJ was. I would definitely suggest MDL Events!

These guys were marvelous - they traveled three states to DJ our destination wedding reception and kept everyone dancing for five hours nonstop. Loved the ambiance music during dinner, and from there it just got better - they were great at keeping us on schedule without rushing through the reception, and we've repeatedly been told we had the most fun wedding many guests had ever been to. These guys are laid back, fun to talk to, have a great sense of music and read a crowd exceptionally! Definitely contacting them whenever I have DJ needs again!

My husband and I knew that we wanted to have a videographer for our big day, but had reservations about the costs and styles associated with most. We stumbled across an email from Andrew with MDL a few months before our wedding. He was offering an AMAZING special that we could not pass up. After looking through his videos, we were so excited to finally find a videographer whose style matched ours. We exchanged multiple emails and only met with Andrew one time, but it felt so natural having him and his fiancé there on our special day. They were so both easy going and fun. When we saw our video we were at a loss for words. It was BEYOND beautiful and met every single expectation (and more). I don't know how they managed to capture even the littlest moments, that now are so special to us, but they did. I would recommend MDL Event to anyone looking for a videographer or any other wedding service - Andrew and his fiancé were unbelievable.
